He hits a leadoff homer the same MINUTE this video is uploaded...🤯😎
I picked CJ Abrams in the "next video" poll. He had the fewest points at that time. I knew it was coming though. Not Salvy and definitely not the Rays. I think most people were picking Aroldis Chapman which made zero sense. It had to be Abrams. Nothing else would've been very interesting. Why did few people guess Abrams for it came out?

Thats called a #RoidBomb
FINALLY A CJ ABRAMS VIDEO! THANK YOU ITALK
Finally someone talks about my nats in a positive way!
fr
The nats aren’t that bad and have a good young stars!
They have a good, young prospect pool! But yes, it is time to talk about how good their prospects are.
we just need better pitchers
The crazy thing is too, in addition to Abrams they also got back:
-James Wood, now a consensus Top 20 five tool prospect
-Mackenzie Gore who looks to be at least a solid middle rotation LHP with some upside remaining.
-Robert Hassel who was a top 100 prospect when they got him, bat hasn't developed as hoped but could be a bench OF with his glove, arm and speed.
-Jarlin Susanna who signed for almost $2M a couple years ago and has a plus plus fastball and plus slider, just turned 20 years old.
I'd say the Nationals did quite well for not having 2.5 years of Soto during a rebuilding phase.
Remember when they also got Keibert Ruiz and Josiah Gray for Mad Max and Turner?
Don't forget about Dylan Crews
If Gore can develop closer to the Kershaw comp he was when drafted, the Nats will be a team that can be the 1B to the Braves in that division in the back half of this decade
He is making the Nats fun to watch.
woah woah woah that might be a little far🤨
@@King-03530idk, I’ve watched about 100+ games a season since Abrams has come up the product is much more entertaining.
It might just be the way he plays, but when he’s up to bat and Jacob Young is on base, it’s can’t miss
Crazy you put this video out today and he led off the bottom half of the 1st today with a solo shot.
As a Nats fan, it feels good for people to remember us. Really tired of being a farm team for superstars we dont even get to keep.
They fleeced the padres in hindsight.
They really did.
I hate being a Padres fan.
@@keeperbrunoI would an I watch the pirates

100% i saw the poll i was so bummed out no one was picking CJ. He is so slept on I feel nats players are always underappreciated until they get close to free agency.
I mean tbf, Chapman’s “return” is pretty impresssive. So I mean, there’s definitely content there. But you’re absolutely right, CJ was the right choice .
Same bro 😆 I’m like CJ is on fire
@@iitstre_4550 Chapman has been great but he was solid last season too. The one thing about Chapman this year that's most different is that he's not a closer anymore. I actually picked him up on my fantasy team thinking he would get some saves like he usually does but then I had to drop him because I realized he wasn't a closer anymore. So I think people were picking him because he has the most recognizable name after all this time. He has been great though. That's a fact.
@@matthew01234chapmans era is almost 5 i know war for relievers can be weird but hes accumalated negative .2 war this year. Thats great?
As a Padres fan, it sucks because it looks like they lost BOTH Soto trades. I thought for sure that they were gonna extend him long-term after making the initial trade... knowing now that it was unlikely to happen at all makes everything soooooo much worse.
For whatever reason, he didn’t seem like a good fit on the Padres. You’d figure a lineup that featured, Machado, Soto, FTJr, Kim & Cronenworth would be formidable but it just didn’t seem to work convincingly. He’s doing much better in the pressure cooker of NY. It’s weird. I wonder how the players/prospects the Padres got back from the Yankees will look in a year or two.
Nic video. Unless it’s a known name, I always wonder how some pieces of the puzzle end up in a trade like that. As a Mets fan, I have a a number of prospects (pieces to puzzles) to hear and see more about, which is great to be on the winning side of.
Watch CJ Abrams hit 37 home runs and steal 54 bases this season,I’m calling it. (Hopefully)
Saw cj abrams play this year in cinci - even tho the reds lost watching abrams play was a joy.
HE PLAYS FOR THE NATIONALS!!
@@mg7142he ment he watched the reds play the nationals
As a Nationals fan this video makes me very happy.
CJ is doing great. last year he wasn't great with all the errors but this year he's on it so far
Yesterday the Nats did “Dinger of the Day” promo in the stadium - they ask a fan to guess who is going to hit a HR before the first inning for a prize. The fan guessed CJ and he homered on the first pitch of the game! The players have said they love that promo it’s good luck
CJ is an electric shock ready to strike
They ripped the Padres in that Soto deal lol
Thanks!
I had the Nationals as a 4th place team going into the season. I believed they were going to take a step forward in the rebuild and Abrams breaking out was necessary as well as Crews/Wood being called up some time this season. Abrams and the Nats are the perfect fit. They’re giving him every single opportunity to succeed and he’s rewarding them. I don’t think he finds the same success in San Diego. Fwiw, I wanted him in the draft as a Braves fan. He’s a special talent
“Defense doesn’t really matter how valuable a player is”
Uum, very wrong sir.
It's definitely second to hitting
@@jc24445it definitely tanks your war if you suck at defense
CJ Abrams is restoring my faith in everything from the Washington nationals to the future of black baseball . I’m glad he hasn’t been a part of marquis grissom’s summer workout program so far because as the braves are currently constructed ( Arcia has been great but seems like a stop gap measure at short and jarred kelenic does not seem like the kind of long term answer in left the braves are after ) , my biggest fear about Major League Baseball atm is that when Lawrence butler and Abrams hit free agency , they’re gonna join Mike harris in ATL , which would be sick but as somebody in northern va rooting for for the nats and o’s it would be pretty devastating to lose cj . But I def agree with the premise of this video and I can see a similar sentiment taking hold for Lawrence butler too cause he’s an incredibly talented player as well
CJ's had a hell of a start to the season thats for sure. But the league will adjust, and until he learns how to adjust back I can't buy in completely. Thats not a knack on him though, he's a young player still. He has a hell of a ceiling.
Subscribed. Dc loves CJ
Played with/against him growing up. Didn’t strike out a single time his junior and senior year of HS
as a padres fan it really hurt to see CJ go, not to mention the 4 other players we have the nats (and are all exceeding expectations) but now that Soto is gone it stings like lemon on a paper cut. But hey! We have double play merchant Xander Bogarts!!!!
He’s had a hot start, let’s wait and see
The only thing to look forward to as a Nats fan!
He's been killing it. Hurts me as a Padres fan to see him succeed elsewhere. But I'm happy for the kid. He just needed a couple of years under his belt to find his form. Back in 2022, when the Padres called him up, he was REALLY young and honestly wasn't ready. I wish AJ Preller didn't have such impulsive trade deadlines and played the long game. I at least understand trading for Soto, but if that didn't come AFTER he traded away players like Josh Naylor, Andres Muñoz, Ty France, Trea Turner, Emmanuel Clase, then trading for Soto would've seemed like THE trade he was waiting for. Hey, at least Jackson Merrill looks promising.
abrams getting recognized nats are on the come up 🙏🙏🙏
FINALLY A NATS VID!!!!!!
Glad to say that I’ve seen him play in person when he was in triple AAA with the padres and he was pretty good and I have his rookie card
My Nationals getting some love! Heads up MLB..we on the rise
I’ve been seeing clips of this guy breaking out everywhere, you could see the talent and you gotta admit for being forced to give up a generational talent the Nats have done pretty well or as decent as they could on the return.

As a Padres fan I loved him
As a Padres fan, I knew Abrams was going to be special. But he's improving at an incredible rate. Forever bummed they traded him. Wishing him continued success 🙌
Soto reminds me of Giannis lowkey 💀
real talk
I loved the kid when he was in the padres. Was pretty bummed out when padres traded him.
If the yankees didnt get soto the yankees would have been below .500, (Judge forgot how to hit)
He’s been playing hurt since spring training but he’s definitely hasn’t forgotten how to hit
Nationals are back
i got it right from the poll! he’s breaking out!
They've actually done well with those trades...Abrams is a star and then they have James Wood coming
He was booed the beginning of last year and now at the games he gets deserved praise. Incredible growth.
Padres took an L with this one
Every day with this kid
This is the first time the nats have been nationally relevant since that soto trade. i had faith all along. many nats fans still in denial!! very sad and cringe. but this is epic
He’s forreal
Padres lost the Soto trade
Clearly, they did absolutely nothing when he was there they get an “F” for that trade.
Soto had one crazy year and has been barely decent since then. He's overrated AF.
@@tomcruze7898he has had multiple good years he has been in the league for 6 years I think he has only had like one bad year
@@Real_Spazz I'm not saying he is a bad player. Just overrated AF. He had one crazy year and the other ones have been decent at best.
@@tomcruze7898 oh yeah his batting average is not good but I agree the home runs is usual why he is known
Atlanta born CJ!!
As I’m watching this, CJ just hit a piss missile to right against the marlins for his 7th of the year🤩
Can you do Turang next
Bro he is a shitty nobody
Wasn't this like 3rd in the poll? Only remember cuz it's the one I voted on 😂
CJ Abrams is a STUD
this stud basically single handedly won me my fantasy league last year
This video isn’t about Steven Kwan?
CJ Abrams: Every day with a homer or a steal with this kid
You should do a video about the dodgers I am a dodgers fan and I am pissed how they r doing terrible bottom of the lineup is trash 😭
that soto trade might’ve been the worst trade of the decade so far. I know it’s an abrams video but damn that soto trade for the yankees was so bad😂
White Sox gave up Cease for four prospects and a Gatorade cooler. White Sox traded Tatis for Shields. White Sox let Abreu go for Andrew Vaughn. White Sox hired Tony LaRussa for head coach.
@@tomcruze7898 you got me there top 3 then😭
Im Buying all his rookie cards now.
“Say what you ‘Juan’t’”
He was never "the guy "in San Diego!! Keep it 💯
Our team is doing better with out him .... We will miss cj but we will also MISS WOOD !!!!
15 years 550 million?!
Padres indeed should have kept Soto 😢
Yes, it is time... and, his name is Gunnar Henderson.
The next big star?!. Have you seen the orioles young players?!
imagine kyle schwarber bryce harper trea turner and juan soto line up 😮💨😮💨
Zero percent chance they pay Harper Soto and Turner
Combine CJ Abrams with Dylan Crews James Wood and Brady House and the future of the Nats is as bright as any team in baseball. Calling it now: the 2027 World Series - Washington Nationals v Detroit Tigers (Nats in 6)
It’s too bad that people have also forgot ab hassel, hassel was playing through a injury in 2023 and was great for the padres minor league system and when I was watching him for us in spring training a rlly solid bat for us during that time
@@grantolson2903 yeah he should be a solid player too. But I don’t think he’s ever been as hyped a prospect as the others. But yeah he’s a name to watch as well.
Who was that guy for the Yankees last year that played only a week and hit 4 homeruns before being put on the IL? He is the guy I am looking at.
Jasson?
Matt carmpter?nvm he is on the Padres
Jasson Dominguez
@@carlosriutort yeah I think that’s who he is talking bout I forgot bout him
Defense doesn't matter for the value of a shortstop? Dafuq you smoking, iTalk?
CJ Abrams is my single favorite player on the Nats. His work ethic and professionalism are evident. He comes ready to do all he can to win every game. Plus, he seems like a genuinely nice person, being a nice person does not seem to be an act for him.(●'◡'●)
WERE IS OVERREACTIONS!?!?
I'm hearing a rumor about tomorrow👀

@@donkeykongenjoyer yeah ik i messed it up mb dawg
Juan Soto 2.0 ?
Nah. Not Nobody. Not “Nobody.” Not nobody. Not “nobody.” Not cares and more. /
Lol yaaaas
Glad Abrams is getting his due. This reminds me a bit of Austin Riley. I think 2020 slowed his development, too, and people were wondering if Riley was really the Braves 3rd baseman of the future. A couple years later, he got a $200 million extension. If Abrams keeps this up, maybe he's next.
Jesus Christ was this a video about Soto or Abrams?
early
You SHOULD be talking about Jared Kelenic. He's had some hiccups too, but this is the second straight year he's come out the gate hitting like Tony Gwynn, and this time he's surrounded by successful veterans and absurdly protected in a lineup where he can hit .400+ and be the 9th most intimidating bat in the lineup.
Some things I DID NOT know before he came to Atlanta, he's also a bloodhound in left field and has, not a cannon... More like a sniper rifle for a left arm. He can dot a catchers glove at like 97mph from deep left field.
I was skeptical when I heard people talking about him early '23. Skeptical when the Braves traded for him (although they really gave up nothing) but by the end of week one of this season if a time traveler came back from the year 2044 and told me Jared Kelenic just got inducted in to the hall of fame I would believe it.
Pin me plz
It’s a shame Cj is going to rot for a while
Called it. Bro, just skip baseball and go straight to World Star hip hop videos its always the same type of ppl JERKS.
Not a video about jung hoo lee, unsubscribing
Can you stop trying to make everyone a star? He's a really good player but hasn't become a star yet. Chisholm isn't a star either
If in “all star” isn’t a “star”, then idk who is man
I’ll take Jackson Merrill over CJ
padres fans crying rn. (i am one)
I use to love Soto but now I feel like he's always just trying to walk instead of hit which I ain't paying 500m to a guy who walks
