    I would love to hear about your Gallo-Roman syncretism journey more-and more specifically your research. I live in France… and I am attracted to Hellenic polytheism and Druidism… and a part of me has been thinking about Gallo-Roman syncretism as a bridge between these interests. I in fact just started reading about Gallo-Roman syncretism today.

    Born and raised in the Upstate of SC, I was brought up with Southern Folk practices, which is a mix between Appalachian practices and the African practices...you'd be surprised how much Voodun and Hoodoo that pops up. I love that you practice syncretism. During my prayers to Helios, whom I'm devoted, I call Him "Helios of many rays, you are Khepri, the morning scarab, You are Ra the day falcon, and you are Khnum the evening ram..." So yes I would love to see more videos on your syncretism, it's a beautiful aspect of religion that gets overlooked wayyyyyyy too much!!

      Thank you for sharing! I think there's a lot of aspects of syncretism that expand our understanding of the divine

    Hey Fel! Just wanna say how surreal & beautiful it is to see that in 2022 (and soon 2023), there are people like you living in a modern age, who still worship the ancient deities, not just from Greece but also from other regions too. Wishing u good luck on ur future endeavors and wishing everyone a happy new years!

    I think Syncretic practices are often dismissed as Eclecticism (as if there’s anything wrong with eclecticism lol) which as Polytheists you’d think they’d understand that we believe in a multiplicity of the Divine 😂

      this is very true! people seem to forget that humans have always moved and travelled, bringing and exchanging their gods with them

    Hi hello,
    First, Happy New Year! I hope 2023 is less draining than 2022. Second, I love the idea of a Patreon and would be happy to support this endeavor. You've taught me a great deal, and your videos are informative (well-cited = happy people). It sounds like some outstanding ideas are ahead; please be sure to leave room for YOU, not just us fans. Your content around Hekate was my favorite and helped point me in a direction I never thought I would look towards. So, educational + stories might be a great move. For example, tell us a brief myth and give some modern interpretations of the myth. Like the myth of Athena as a weaver and how modern seamstresses could look to her myths.
    Hope this helps jog some ideas, and really look forward to what you come up with!

    Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for being a comforting presence on yt throughout my journey with hellenic polytheism so far, EVERYONE in my social circle is an atheist, and I had noone to relate to for a long time (they're very supportive, they just don't really understand why/how it's important to me, especially 'cause i'm a soon-to-be med student). You really help a lot, and I agree with a lot of your opinions : D

    Interesting: there is a cognate between the Welsh Goddes a Rhiannon and Epona.
    In UK there are Roman temples on Barry and wall. It is fascinating.

    I'm also interested in practicing Hellenism, I was inspired by reading the poem of Illiad, I've learn alot of lessons, especially when Goddess Athena and Achilles son of Peleus Had a Conversation together, they should be worship and not to be forgotten.

    The red vinyl could be used to make an outdoor concert bag-clear ones were being sold for people buying merchandise at shows,but clear so security did not have to stop and search purses. I had to give up a small purse made of upholstery swatches because of the venue rules against anything not see through.

    Syncretism just makes sense to me - I've always taken the view that there was a single pantheon which all cultures worshipped in different ways.

    • @FeltheBlithe

      that was a long held scholarly belief actually! It's called PIE theory, it's used to explain language as well as religion.

    Journal covers with the vinyl 😀or TN covers with them 😉 that other material sounds so much like a shower curtain 😂
    Do you have any videos on the astrology and planetary magic by any chance?
    2023 is going to be an amazing year, I can feel it but not describe it other than 'it will be an amazing year'.
    Trust you will find 'the place' for you sooner than later.
    Patreon - yes 😀might only be the lower tier though with the $$$ exchange rates, but I will help out.

    Unrelated but can we do this with the Wiccan wheel of the year? Like honoring Persephone and her descent to the underworld on Samhain and maybe Demeter during midsummer or do you think they would clash?

    • @FeltheBlithe
      @FeltheBlithe  Год назад

      I don't see an issue with it! Research, trial and error and see what works for you in your practice

    • @enochanglin3546
      @enochanglin3546 Год назад

      I use the wheel of the year because of its simplicity and closeness to my cultural holidays (USA) even as a hellenic polytheist! I think using the wheel of the year is perfectly fine and I find it easier as I also belong to a Unitarian Universalist church that has a pagan community that is very diverse and so tends to celebrate the wheel of the year because of the ease.
