Easy STRAWBERRY CRUNCH CAKE with Homemade Buttercream Frosting & No-Bake Crunch Crumble

A strawberry crunch cake is perfect for the holidays or as an addition to the dinner table any day. It has a densely rich texture complimented with a delicious homemade frosting and an easy no bake crumble.
For the cake
-----------------------
1 box of strawberry cake mix
1 box (3oz) strawberry instant pudding mix
4 eggs
1 cup of buttermilk
1 cup melted butter @ room temp (or oil - also works perfectly)
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp lemon/lime zest
Buttercream Frosting
-----------------------
1 cup of butter @ room temp (2 sticks)
2 1/2 cups confectioner’s sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Strawberry Crunch crumble
-----------------------
1 box Nila cookies (or any vanilla cookies)
1 box (3oz) strawberry gelatin mix
1/2 cup of butter (1 stick ) @ room temp
Mix the cake batter and bake using the box cake instructions. Mine took 35 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Let the cake cool down completely. Mix the frosting, assemble and Enjoy!
Tip: Make the crumble ahead of time and let it get dry for at least 1 hr before using. I put mine in the refrigerator for the butter to dry up faster!

Very nice presentation. When I make this cake I put a thin layer of batter, add strawberry preserve and a touch of crumbs and then the remaining batter. Turns out incredible.

Trying this with my little one. We couldn’t find the strawberry pudding mix at our local Walmart. It wasn’t online either and Amazon was too high for pudding mix and it wouldn’t arrive on-time (due to holidays)…

I recently made a Pineapple cake. Used yellow box cake mix, 1 1/2 box.Buttermilk, melted margarine, little milk,, pureed pineapple with it's juice ( Un sweetened) little brown sugar, vanilla flavor.and 5 eggs. The cake taste like homemade. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR VIDEO 🤎🤎

Love this ! Going to try all . Also , idea , my husband loves chocolate covered cherries . Thinking of changing ( oh I'm STILL going to make the strawberry too ) cherry chip cake mix , vanilla wafer topping using cherry Jello ( not dark cherry ) doing same thing . Thought about using chocolate cookies , but ??? Anyway , still would use cherry flavored pudding in cake mix , follow YOUR instructions , add " Andes Candy "chocolate /cherry candies . Now you can find these in chip type bags in baking aisle in Wal-Mart sometimes or regular size ( little bite sizes individually wrapped ) of course you would have to break these up .
Now same icing , replace strawberries with stemmed maraschino cherries , use Chocolate Sunday Syrup for drizzle ? Thoughts ?

Yeah I’ve seen the pudding online and I tried to order it. They have a lot of cool flavors to add to your cake mixes but they were all sold out. Walmart in 5 states we checked lol no one has it right now. I said heck I never even knew sonic had those out

Beautiful Cake Hack! I can't wait to try it. I do have a question. I usually allow my bundts cake cool for 10 minutes and they come out perfect. I see your instructions say cool down completely before removing. Is a complete cool down required before inverting the cake?
Oh no it’s not required to cool down completely. Some pans are of better quality than others 🥰.
