Hello Victoria, my apologies for the late response. The substrate I am using for my alocasias is (perlite and coir) this plant tends to thrive well in coco coir. I am keeping this plant in our office area w/o sunlight coming through. Pretty much, I am using grow light for this one. That's the reason why it ended up tall. (grow light is the key) For the leaves, I am using a slow-release fertilizer. Take advantage of feeding your plants. It doesn't matter if it's winter/summertime. I hope this helps. Keep safe!
@@AbelS12 Τhank you so much for your response!! I am fertilizing slightly in winter I know alocasias are heavy feeders. Hope you have a wonderful and safe new year!! Keep up the good work with your plants!! Greetings from Thessaloniki Greece!

I really appreciate it. Thanks so much! 🌱🌱🌱
Does the leaf color gets greenish when the leaf matures?? Because i can see the baby plant has purplish leaf and mother plant is greenish
Hello, yes, once it gets mature it will turn dark green. The purplish remains at the back of the leaf. 🌱😊
@@AbelS12 Thanks for replying highly appreciate.

What are the conditions you put them under in order to thrive? Humidity, soil composition, light???
