Of course the US consider China its biggest threat. China has already eclipsed the US in so many ways. China has passed the US in economy way back in 2015 in terms of PPP which is a better barometer in how a nation is doing. It will pass the US in nominal GDP in 5 years. All roads lead to China and with 142 nations out of 193 in the world having signed up to the BRI todate, this cements the fact. China trades with almost all the countries in the world and less and less trades with the US. Developing nations all over the world make a beeline now to China to borrow instead of the IMF.
The US just can't compete with China that it abandoned competing and went to "hobbling", or sabotaging China. They are throwing everything including the kitchen sink to try to stop China's rise by making trouble in Xinjiang, Hongkong, Taiwan, "debts traps", etc.
About the digital/internet spying, the US keeps on accusing China of it but they are the ones being caught doing it. Remember, Snowden exposing the NSA's PRISM project where the US spies/monitors the whole internet by having control of the gateways like Apple, Amazon, Yahoo, microsoft, Goole, facebook, Skype, AOL, etc. They were also caught eavesdropping on German Chancellor phone calls with the aid of Denmark. the US was also caught spying on its european allies with the aid of NOrway. All these talks of espionage by China through Huawei and other tech companies are just diversions of the US to hide their own spying.

The best comment from you bro on this subject, based on logic and facts, unlike the 90% of the comments from delusional, bias and absurd attacks against China. lndia should be glad that China does not behave like the US or a full scale invasion would have happened long ago based the unsymmetrical military power of both countries. The cause of the border dispute was well illustrated in the book written by Avtar Singh Bhasin and Neville Maxwell but unfortunately, few in dians are willing to recognize the facts and the great majority choosing the ultranationalistic path with unconciliatory road of no return, undermining regional peace and possible self destruction in future confrontation with China.

      1. The fact that those nations are more focused by CCP is because of the technological breakthroughs that's happening in there, nothing of those sorts happens in India at scale. So it would be a waste of resources for CCP to invest in here.
      2. It's not like what they say, as in every case the situation in india is different. If you go through mithrokin archives or any other works from cold war, we can see that situation in India is a mess. The internal politics & governance is too much of mess for India itself, there is not much external exploitation can do to get extensive success.

We ordinary people who have nothing to do with foreign espionage and stealing information... may be mistaken...It seems 'THEY ' use ordinary citizens for example Naturalized US citizens ( discretely , without their knowledge and permission ) to steal information about politics , R& D and other important think tank privileges ...from that citizen' s mother land and Adopted country...!!!
Like an old saying : "ONE SHOT , TWO BIRDS"...!!!
Info and knowledge from both countries...through legally illegal ways ...!!!
For example merely being a co tenant , a neighbor up or down , left or right ...!!!
    Easy to have network connections...
Without a penny spend for it ...!!!
Governments protects VIPs. BUT in today's world of technology and social media it is more cheaper, safer and profitable to steal through ordinary educated and professional ( retired or working ) people without their knowledge ...!!!
If ordinary people talk about it, they will be treated as paranoid ...so , mostly bite the tongue and swallow it ...!!!
YOU are very knowledgeable person ...HOPE you would know what I mean...!!!
