Has anyone notice but the Middle East all their engineers come from other countries. Their educational system doesn't produce engineers and they almost never any type of manufacturing whatsoever in the Middle East. Only the Turks really have a lot of manufacturing and really like working with their hands doing hard work.
Only because Turkiye was the least influenced, out of all countries in that region, by the Arab invasion. They still have their own language and identity. Also, most importantly its first president was a secular west-inspired guy so it was almost like an extension of Europe.. Is it possible to have a list of top books recommended by Shekhar Gupta, at least for ThePrint subsribers? He does slide in some sporadic episode-related recommendations, however it is hard to trace back to those episodes. There is an old list on Goodreads, but it is very short and outdated. A compiled and updated list would be great! 😊
