Hey, nice video. Have you changed your factory front driveshaft as it's a known issue on the F15's? I'm considering replacing mine for bulletproofing as well as doing the disaster prevention kit. Thanks

Offical kit should be available on Whitbread website shorty however if you don't want to wait you can still purchase this kit on their website as I explained in the video already here whitbreadperformance.com/products/3-0l-tdi-cp4-metering-valve-bypass-kit?variant=44741025923231 and select CATA option from the dropdown menu for their VW Tdi offering it basically the same application as in the N57 engine you will receive exactly the same kit as I have in the video, hope that helps.

Only 5% of those pumps are infected and cars where this happened are high milage cars, no one car here in Europe got this problems before 300 000km..

A $225 kit saves catastrophic failure. Sounds like a no brainer

Different diesel in Europe. It’s a problem with the CP4 in the US including non BMWs

@@dilbert1337 Really, how you mean "different"?

@@Bounty-Hunter69 US uses ULSD which have very low lubricity which has a lower cetane rating than Europe. It’s commonly known our diesel fuel is of lower quality.

While this might be in fact true, that Europe uses better quality diesel fuel, it will only maybe prolong the pump life, however the design flaw off the pump is still there no matter where you live it will still fail no matter if you live in US or Europe while it might last longer in Europe it will fail fail and destroy your car fuel system as the pump is the same and had the same design flaw there’s no way of avoiding it but there is a cheap way of preventing total destruction of the fuel system, so why not protecting yourself and your pocket.

Isn’t it better to just install m50d pump lol

    • @MotorsportInspired

M50d pump sure it’s upgrade but it will fail the same way and destroy whole fuel system with it after all its cp4 as well they all fail the same way sooner or later.
