Stupid Reason's Why Maharastra Has The Most Expensive Electrcity in India
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 8 апр 2023
- In this video, we will discuss the stupid reasons why Maharashtra has the most expensive electricity in India. We will explore the historical context of the state's energy policies and how they have led to a situation where consumers pay exorbitant rates for their electricity. We will also examine some of the inefficiencies and corruption that have plagued the state's energy sector, and how these factors have contributed to the high cost of electricity.
Through a combination of research and analysis, we will delve into some of the specific factors that have made Maharashtra's electricity so expensive, such as the state's overreliance on coal and the lack of investment in renewable energy sources. We will also look at how political factors have played a role in shaping the state's energy policies, and how this has impacted the cost of electricity for consumers.
Ultimately, this video aims to shed light on some of the absurd and nonsensical reasons behind Maharashtra's high electricity prices, and to encourage viewers to think critically about the role of government and industry in shaping the energy sector. By examining the mistakes and missteps that have led to this situation, we can begin to identify solutions and strategies for creating a more efficient, sustainable, and affordable energy system for all.

MSEB in Maharashtra has an unsaid Monopoly in Electricity Distribution. Due to such monopoly, their officer know that customer won't have a option even if they have issue or something because they can't have electricity provided to them from any other source. Thus they're inefficient in addressing customer queries, resulting in I guess lowest consumer satisfaction ratio in the state.

Bro, i dont know where you live in Maharashtra, But in Mumbai Suburbs, we have Adani electricity. They ususally respond in 24 hours for any complaint filed. Thanks for highlighting this. I've been living in Pune for the past 15 years. Maharashtra has not only expensive electricity but other basic things as well like fuel and taxes on a new vehicle and the list goes on. Pathetic work culture in government offices like PMC. If I take the example of Pune nobody cares or listens and no proper planning is done. On paper, they say SMART CITY but it's by far even near to a smart city. What a smart city without proper roads, infra, and basic necessities after paying the highest taxes?
Inspite of this, people from all over the country come here. It has already become over-crowded. The infrastructure of city is ok but the state govt is inefficient.
@@bablubaban008 That is true. I feel it's more of a role of local administration. If you take example of mumbai, you see a lot of projects going on everywhere in mumbai. You can even consider PCMC, they are doing a fantastic job and also have visionary strategy approach for future. PMC lacks leadership, vision and planning. They are not able to create new infra and cherry on top is demolishing the old infra already created.
Same, my family runs a small water filtration plant and we sometimes get Fifty thousand bill when it should be 4000. We have to go to mseb office everytime then.

I agree with this 100%, i am from odisha and for a few years I have been staying in Mumbai for my Job. I am actually astonished to know that Odisha Govt Electricity Dept is far far better and provides cheaper rates of electricity than a highly developed Maharashtra. And look the politics of subsidy happens in Odisha also and players like Tata are also provided in Odisha. But in Maharashtra, rates placed by Adani are simply too much. This is a vicious cycle and no country can grow if basic things are so expensive and that too because of laggard work culture and inefficiency.
Odisha is coal producing state so electricity will be cheaper. Also yearly cyclones ensure lot of rain so Hydro is also good there.
@@LHRTW Are you from Odisha? Did you know the coal produced in Odisha is majorly exported to other states rather than consumed for internal purposes. Coming to hydro electricity, the only running hydro power plant is Hirakud Dam, which is in western odisha and cyclones happen in the eastern odisha bordering bay of Bengal. Dude, get your facts checked.
@@cripCrap861 I checked it I have a relative in NTPC. It’s mismanagement that causes problems
@@LHRTW First you tell odisha is self-sufficient with electricity and cheaper rates bcoz it has coal and hydro power, now you saying NTPC management is corrupt so there's the issue. Which of the facts are correct? Because both statements contradict each other. Going by first, the cheaper rates in Odisha are due to easy availability of raw materials which is factually wrong. And then going by your second statement, NTPC management is slow, well that's wrong too. NTPC has been a key driver for power production along with Jindal and Tata in Odisha. The thing is that odisha govt has subsidised electricity and a genuine price is being charged to customers. Maharashtra is slowly losing its manufacturing industries due to high power costs to Gujrat and Karnataka. Well power is not only the factor, but it's a key factor.

Surreal, I lived my life in Navi Mumbai, even working in the city and I don't remember the last time load shedding happened due even 15 minutes.
why are you spreading lies?
@@TheOpposition he is lying, i have 3 homes in different parts of mumbai, and never seen powercuts
@@shirishsalunkhe9374 same here, number of properties i own, never ever heard problem in panvel that is technically not Navi Mumbai but Panvel municipal corporation.

@@shirishsalunkhe9374 brooo this is not old UP u PPL are still in misconception that UP is still notorious We are at the top now all thanks to baba ji❤
You shouldn't come back then 😂😂😂
What? I have lived in Pune for 5 years and I felt it’s cheaper than in Gurgaon where I live now. I almost pay double per unit here than I used to pay in Pune.
In Gurgaon i was paying ₹ 10 per unit for electricity (on prepaid smart meters) back in 2020.
God knows, what the rates are now in 2023. 🙄
@@SagarAbhishek Same and just before that, a year back I was in pune and paying around per unit 4-5/unit. I clearly remember because I also used to pay my Gurgaon bill for my parents, so I was pretty much aware of how much the difference was. See, it's even more than double in Gurgaon UP whereas it's less than half in Maharashtra. God knows if he is aware of anything outside his state.
@@contactdi8426 Yup, by the way do you have prepaid meters or postpaid meters installed in your Gurgaon home?
Because for prepaid it was ₹10 per unit, but for postpaid, it was ₹ 7 or 8 per unit only.
In many of Indian states, Government employees or contractor workers does not care.... Political parties & its workers are also selfish. Selfish, adamant, chalta hai.... spoiling many.......
Being a karnataka power transmission officer, dont prejudicely blame all government officers. There are many hardworking and intelligent workers are there working 24x7 efficiently.
It hurts, people say all government emploolyees are inefficient
It really needs to be privatised...... The workers who were protesting must be thrown out and replaced by new staff
Privatisation is the only solution, kick all govt employees… they just security, pension and money without working
Here in Gujarat house hold electricity is 7 rs per unit hai. But gov has focused on roof top solar plan. So many people put solar on their home terrace and then it reduces cost of electricity. So I advise to use solar system.
@PowerTrain From 1st April 23 the electricity rate will be go up some more, I received an email from TATA Power saying so, I can share the screen shot or email but dont know how to share it on youtube
This video is 100% true... Maha discom should be privatized 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Bro watch Devendra fadanvis speech in indo - France investment summit u will get all ans in that video ☺️

Short briefs of that interview
Very bad experience with MSEB, I was late only 15 days to pay electricity bill and they disconnected my connection without any notice or warning. After that they took almost 5 days to reconnect my connection. I had to bear losses of 5 working days.
They pile up the work abnormally and then say we have shortage of employees.
