Indian ocean is known for looking brown , black or dirty and people genrally think that peoples pollution , garbge and sewage is the reason for bad polluted sea. however indian seas at mumbai, chennai etc are polluted because rivers muddy, and lots of sediments.
The biggest reason is Maharashtra has the most black soil in India. The sediments from rivers get deposited near the coasts. This has been happening for centuries. Other small reason is Mumbai was the most industrialised area since the British age. Even after independence congress didn’t put any laws into action. Everything was being dumped. now new laws are enacted, but don’t expect anything to change, because it’s naturally dark water due to sediments deposited throughout centuries. The water in Earth's oceans moves from west to east as a result of the planet's rotation. This movement creates a phenomenon known as upwelling along certain coasts, wherein the warmer surface waters of the ocean move out to sea and are replaced by rising deeper, colder, sediment-rich waters.

Don't call South Asia , use the term Indian subcontinent.
Westerners very cleverly trying to erase Indian subcontinent terms and labeling as South Asia.
Bro, I was literally searching the web for this question a couple of days ago. Do we have telepathic abilities?
I have a request, could you please make a video on any successful anti-corruption campaigns that might have happened anywhere in the world? I think this is of very essence for our growing economy.
Why background noise so prominent. Infact it doesn't need at all. Content is nice but becomes irritating cz of background noise

I agree that Andaman beaches are clear and blue but recently I've witnessed plastic pollution in the Port Blair region during a costal cleanup activity. Tourists are not so responsible yet

Locals pollute more.

In Gujarat shivrajpur is the best beach is best
Yes in Maharashtra ❤️
We have huge river systems discharging to the Arabian sea and bay of Bengal...which contains huge soil, vegetation and sediments...thats why our coastal seas has brown or soil color water...plus we have 3-4 months of rainy season yearly...more rain means more soil erosion and more sediments...
This saves time.
But ironically it’s rains everything week in brisbane whole year still why sea water here is blue ! I don’t think rain is exact reason
@@kashitakhalate9116 it depends on the type of the soil. soil in Australia is different.

In Goa, Ratnagiri, Puri, Andaman Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Vishakapattinam, Kanyakumari India ocean starts & Arabian sea Bay of Bengal meets there is Blue water, there are many beaches in India having Blue water
Dwarka of Gujarat also
I visited dhanushkodi (Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu) in 2018. Here Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean meets and both the sea were in Blue (Indian ocean) & Green (Bay of Bengal) colour.
The reason was there were no river or mountain in the nearest region and secondly no pollution.
So you can find blue or green waters in mainland India in some regions
Visited puri beach in odisha absolutely beautiful, 😍 clean water .
If u want to see crystal clear water, better than Maldives then visit Andaman Nicobar Islands or lakshadweep!

#askpt why himalayas are not rich in minerals compare to other mountain ranges
Interesting question
They are just that surveys have not been done
Because it's their choice!
Dude... What are you saying....???
Himalayas are one of the most most mineral rich mountains in the world.
Rivers from Himalayas make the Gangatic plains which is in the top 3 most fertile agriculture lands in the world.
Rivers which flows from Himalayas have once of the highest mineral contents in them, scientifically proven.
It is rich. But mining is possible only in shivalik range. Rest terrain too harsh to mine

The problem is quite simple - deforestation led to this. The thing that differentiates Andaman is that it is 90% forested area. It is time to drop large scale industrial farming. If agriculture is dropped more in favour of Agroforestry, and Fruit forestry we will significant improvement in soil quality (increase in organic content), and lesser run off in the rivers.
Some beaches in India looks blue for example chandrabhaga, odisha but due to higher depth it's dark blue
Sir if you go on a boat ride in any sea around the India after 1.5Km , the water color changes to dark blue from Dark brown. you can even compare(chemical test) the the water at Juhu beach and at elephanta Caves .The the sewage water and drainage water discharged is not treated at all.
Now this is called real knowledge and information 😇😇
Hats off bro for your hard work, and providing us with this information
Andamans have way better beaches than any Asian beaches. Randhanagar beach in Andamans is one of the most beautiful beach in Asia.
how many other asian beaches have you visited?
@@shashankgangil8204 not counted so far to be honest. But I have visited places from South East Asia to west (except Pacific Islands) . You can actually google it and surprisingly Radhanagar beach will come in top 3 most beautiful beaches in Asia.
Its the best in India, but not all asian beaches. Singapore, Japan, Korea have insanely well maintained beaches as well.
The stiller the water under the surface & less sand, the clearer the water. Water reflects the colour of the sky as well.
Amazing information.... I always thought that because of pollution
...come to the holy land of Thiruchendur in TN the water is blue or aquamarine and the sand is white almost like snow and kanyakumari where the water is three different colours of Arabian sea, Indian Ocean and Bengal bay waters, it is so clearly distinguishable.

Thanks for explaining everything.. I was very curious to know, why India don't have Maldives like beach in mainland.. I think one more point is colour of sand at beach. We have mostly brown dark sand beach unlike Maldives has white sand beach made of corals.
Man! You touch the topic which I wonder sometimes.
Next.: Why maharashtra/Goa/karnataka/kerala ie Western ghats have red soil.

Come to Gujarat shivrajpur blue beach..
This was always one of the questions which I was curious about but never searched about it, since I thought it was just me overthinking it. Really pleased to see this video in my recommendations :D
In India, for example Narmada river water is released very less from the dams so always downstream of the dams water level of rivers are always lower so they will pick more sediments as compared to full river.
Mostly tropical beaches have blue water. The ocean surface temperature around the equator is much warmer than the deeper temperatures causing 2 separate layers of water (thermoclines) which can't mix. Since nutrients are present in the lower layer only, planktons can't grow causing crystal clear water. This effect reduces at higher latitudes. Hence temperate waters are murky and dark.
Bruh India is a Tropical Region
nice explanation with logical reasons
It was an interesting video. I always used to think why our beaches, rivers and lakes are muddy while others are blue/sky in colour. Thank you sir.

Blue water beaches are not good for sea life.
The cleaner the water means less food for the micro organisms which results in deterioration of higher form of sea life.
Blue water is good to look at but it’s unhealthy for sealife
Above statement does not apply for regions which have naturally occurring blue water. ( usually happens when seabed is rocky).
No lol, most healthy corals grow in blue water beaches, and corals are good for many fish species.
Good information. Thank you.
so okey ... mera bhinye bohut din se ye ques tha ...thanks PT ... but ek mera comparision ques hai ... kya china ke beaches ka bhi colour brown hai kya ?? becz waha bhi kafi sari rivers hai

I visited a few beaches of newzealand Last year near Auckland and they are also muddy and greyish but water is very clean
Agar paani pura saaf ho toh jab sun Rays paani se takraenge toh dispersion of light dekhne ko milengi. Jitne bhi colours hain vo water absorb karenga and it will leave blue color causing it too look blueish.
So the question is can we e change the nature of it like rebuilding rivers and landscape in some places so that silt and materials won't be taken so easily
There is a thought process going on diverting the coastal rivers to inner plateau region which are water scarce.
