Hi again, I saw the Spigen band online and I really liked the simplistic look, but it seems like the buckle is on the "side" of the wrist. Some reviewers said that it was really uncomfortable. What's your take on the buckle being slightly unusual positioned?

Pro tip on the Alpine Loop, fit it the other way around to the suggested way, clasp side at the bottom, its super easy to do up compared to clasp topside.
I can confirm that the spigen band is absolutely comfortable been wearing it for a month , no regrets also I’ll be using it for my Apple Watch ultra soon as it’s delivered.

Difference in "silicone" bands from apple watch (ultra or standard) is that it's made with fluoroelastomer, which behave different when it gets wet and it doesn't rip your hairs from the arm. Fake bands are just silicone, which, when wet, gets very sticky to the skin. Great review tho. Would they work with standard watch too?
A lot of these bands are really nice. The knock-off's are $4/each in Thailand. The same ones as the $25 on Amazon. The best thing is the extra colors. I have a solid black Alpine loop and it looks awesome. Also, lots of extra colors in the ocean band. For the ocean bands, real or fake, you actually need the Apple extension band $50 to get one big enough for a big cold water wetsuit. Right now I have every Apple band equivalent and about 10 colors they don't make for less than 1 actual Apple band. The Apple band that came with my watch was the midnight ocean band and I really like it also and it's better, but maybe $10 better, not $96.
I upgraded 7 to 8. Had every Apple Watch since original. After watching reviews ordered an Ultra and accidentally ordered small Alpine Loop and it works but hard to get over hand and although little small still works. Too difficult to exchange because have to exchange watch and band. Ordered knock offs from Amazon and actually really like them but to be honest my favorite band for the Ultra is the Midnight Sport band like I have on my 8 and it dresses up the watch. Had a new one still in a box so wearing it on the Ultra. Thanks
*UPDATE* you can actually buy an extension from Apple for the ocean band but it’s an extra $50 on top of the $100 for the Ocean band. Kinda crazy but its made out of Fluorosilicone which is a more resilient rubber composite that costs 10x that of regular silicone. If that’s your jam go for it lol but I’ll pass Thanks for watching everyone!
I find the Ocean band just okay for surfing. A better band for my preference is the ND 60 super rugged series from Neredes. I surf 5 day a week, paddle board 3 to 4 days a week, throw some fishing and mountain biking in there . The ND 60 is so much more rugged.
Just brought the official alpine loop band as the ocean strap was irritating my wrist. It might cost £100 but boy is it worth it. It’s like wearing a completely different watch and not the Ultra. My worry was keeping it clean, but many people said oxy washing powders works well.
I am glad Milanese bands work well with the Ultra, since I own several in good shape and feels good. I have BIG wrists too and I appreciated your sharing other options. I saw your Ultra video (and watched others for a month_ before ordering it. Watch comes next week. I really enjoy your style, no-nonsense opinions and fluid speech without a lot of filler to appease the RUclips algorithm gods. Video editing is so nice too! Can't believe only 9000 subs.
I used to buy straps in Amazon and I’ve gotten some defaults and I almost lot my Watch Series 5. I prefer buying original straps from Apple. Less choice for me, but more durability. I’m still using the sport loop black that I’ve bought with my Watch Series 5 and I run and do all sports in a very hot and humid country. I juste wash the strap after running. I’ll soon receive an Watch Ultra (Oct 26) with an Ocean band (blue color). I may use the same black strap with it though as it is very comfortable to wear! Price is one thing. Quality and durability is another thing which leads, for me at least to peace of mind:)
Thanks for the reviews. The one think I wanted to know you didn’t mention. I’ve bought a couple off after market ocean bands but the connection to the watch is never long enough. 2mm too short and look stupid so they got returned. Do the straps you reviewed have full width connectors?
The inconsistency with the width on lots of these straps is crazy because I think every amazon seller just added 49mm to the title of the listing lol but these bands didn’t bother me with width

i like the Spigen band... imma get a set as 3 of my band broke in one week... well after 2year of nonestope use to im not complaining. I really like Spigen stuff!
I picked my Ultra up with the Trail Loop and I am digging it. It's super comfortable and you can adjust it to a perfect fit. I am a major runner and this band is now my favorite. My old daily driver was the Nike Sport band.
I got a ocean band from amazon, and I have to say that I love the soft silicone, but the retainer clips are too big and end of the band easly popes out, stretches too much and creates those ugly gaps by the attachment points. I will rock that one around but if it comes to diving, apple watch band will be my to go band, feels very secure and sits properly in the attachment area.
That Spigen band is legit, only downfall is that it doesn’t come in multiple colors, I have silver aluminum case for my iWatch Ultra and the finish on the buckle compliments my watch perfectly. A navy blue band would be my go to. I also purchased the savior band I would not recommend it, the paracord is way too stiff and for smaller wrists it doesn’t fit well and quite frankly is a pain to get on so I would skip that one.
I personally don't care for any of the Apple Ultra Watch Bands. My first Amazon band I got was a Nereides ND60 nylon band. It's very wide, and really looks odd with regular Apple Watches but with the Ultra it looks very good. The second band I'm using, to dress up the Ultra, is one of the Medium Brown Leather Apple Watch Bands I bought to use with my Series 6. This though has hardware that matches the Ultra perfectly and the medium brown leather really looks sharp with it.
Got the Amazon Ocean band and love it. Only cost $12. Went there because didn’t make it in red. I have a mix of authentic & 3rd party. My favorite ones are knockoffs. Wearing a glow n the dark band now 😂
I’m rocking the UAG(Urban Armor Gear) Active Watch Strap. A little pricey but can’t beat the build quality. I love it cuz the strap also has a thick width band that doesn’t look skimpy on the watch like many other skinny bands.
If the connection point is not metal/titanium then it's not really a comparison, it's just a cheaper made version/option. As someone that has purchased cheap knockoffs on amazon for apple watches I can confidently say most of the time the cheaper cost is reflected in the build quality and you can certainly witness that in this video. Now I'm not saying Apple bands are worth the money, that's up to your pocket book but I will say they last a long time whereas the cheaper versions not so much and the quality certainly isn't the same. Also, last note...if you buy a 5 pack of bands like the mesh stretch ones shown later in the vid, pay attention to that cheap thin plastic connection point, last thing you want is that to pop off. Cheap plastic like that will overtime bend and re-mold due to heat and stress causing the connection point precision to change.

I got size 12 solo loop. Solo loop is best watch band period so long as you got size right and its 50 bucks cheaper than other apple bands

I personally don't care for any of the Apple Ultra Watch Bands. My first Amazon band I got was a Nereides ND60 nylon band. It's very wide, and really looks odd with regular Apple Watches but with the Ultra it looks very good. The second band I'm using, to dress up the Ultra, is one of the Medium Brown Leather Apple Watch Bands I bought to use with my Series 6. This though has hardware that matches the Ultra perfectly and the medium brown leather really looks sharp with it.
Yeah I think I will continue my search for more bands lol I have a couple I like but need more
Got the Amazon Ocean band and love it. Only cost $12. Went there because didn’t make it in red. I have a mix of authentic & 3rd party. My favorite ones are knockoffs. Wearing a glow n the dark band now 😂

I’m rocking the UAG(Urban Armor Gear) Active Watch Strap. A little pricey but can’t beat the build quality. I love it cuz the strap also has a thick width band that doesn’t look skimpy on the watch like many other skinny bands.

If the connection point is not metal/titanium then it's not really a comparison, it's just a cheaper made version/option. As someone that has purchased cheap knockoffs on amazon for apple watches I can confidently say most of the time the cheaper cost is reflected in the build quality and you can certainly witness that in this video. Now I'm not saying Apple bands are worth the money, that's up to your pocket book but I will say they last a long time whereas the cheaper versions not so much and the quality certainly isn't the same. Also, last note...if you buy a 5 pack of bands like the mesh stretch ones shown later in the vid, pay attention to that cheap thin plastic connection point, last thing you want is that to pop off. Cheap plastic like that will overtime bend and re-mold due to heat and stress causing the connection point precision to change.
