@@davideldred.campingwilder6481 Jordan Peterson resonates with me as a woman. What you say makes absolutely no sense. Yours sincerely 'a well trained woman' keeping up 'good' work.
yeah, i don't feel like a lotta people seem to: i actually appreciate that he seems to go out of his way to explain things that, frankly ain't very pleasant nor easy to appreciate. it really shouldn't matter what you think about the guy personally, but i guess it helps , as in my case to assume he only means well, and really ain't tryin' to fool anyone in any way, shape, or form, eh?
Because his whole point is power to the individual. It's a bloody difficult life regardless of one's choice. And he know women - most women value family and relationships, i would argue more than men. It is problematic always encouraging career while forgetting biological needs. I would say Jordan is correct on the birth control. It made things more complicated in terms of psychology of women - easy access to "men" - but only on a sexual level without real goal of forming a family. It would be interesting how will GenZ fix their issues. I have heard they are fast becoming the conservative generation.
This man has literally saved my life. I was 17, diagnosed with anxiety disorder, severe depression, ptsd, destructive habits, no father, a mother working all day, helping to raise a younger sister, high school drop out, getting in trouble with the police, somehow came across one of his videos and I haven’t stopped listening to him ever since. He has his college lectures on physiology on RUclips and they have opened my frame of reference to what I was going through and how life actually could be different with hard work, dedication, and self awareness. my life has ever since took a turn for the better in all areas. I continued my search for knowledge on truth, reality, and logic and It’s because of this man that I have been able to start my journey. No words could express my gratitude for this man and his family as it takes a village. Now at 22 I’m able to finally see the light of seriously being the woman I could have only dreamed of when he introduced the idea of creating a heaven for yourself. seriously this man saved my life and I’m constantly reminded every time I look at statistics and just how many of them I’m going against.
I am so glad to hear of your change in life. having been at the bottom myself and turned turned things around, I know how hard that can be. I know many people who didn't make. So glad you did.
Good on you!..it is so nice to hear a young woman say this about him as it is mostly young men these days that his words of wisdom are directed towards & hitting where-as many are forgetting he can be,has been & is,also influential in many young ladies lives too!..Bravo,bravo!..to you & him!..Nice one Sah!..
Single parent child here as well, raised with my mother. The statistics indeed aren't favorable at all and it shows, this man is doing terrific work. It's a shame people (including me in the past) are so quick to judge him.
@Otie Jason he's helped an overwhelming amount of people overcome hardships in their life. By telling them they're not worthless, and that they can be something no matter how insignificant it may be in this current climate. To bash him based off his personal issues with antidepressants is so ignorant and intolerant. Try harder next time.
@Otie Jason even if we take this in consideration, he has helped millions of people in some way. What is your contribution? He is not perfect, obviously, and he shouldn't be idolized because he is human like the rest of us, but respect to him is in order.
@@mariamjoseph3605 Yeah, you are not telling me how though. Give me specific examples. What can a man do that a woman can't? A good role model is a good role model: woman or man, it does not matter. I honestly feel like you are trolling.

And Peterson is full of shit: he is a religious conservative who knows how to use smart words to appear smart but, in reality, 98% of his ideas are full of shit. The only reason why he got popular is because of "anti-woke" movement during 2014-2016. Look into videos debunking him and you will see.

Yes, you learn more from watching these interviews than you would in a lifetime of modern life. I have learned more good and true things from Jordan Peterson than any educational institution has ever presented me with. This man is the definition of "true knowledge" that should be remembered and listened to.
I AM A WOMAN. I love this man. So DO NOT even try to say that “women feel” any type of way towards what he says, because you do not speak for us, lady. He has inspired me for the past three years with his videos and speeches.
Yes! And he inspired many, many people... I somehow git recommendations for clips where J.P. is mocked, misrepresented or straight lied about. Even close people dear to me try to dismantle him in ways I wouldn't have thought they'd do. Maybe some of J.P.'s lectures just hit to close to home for them...
His daughter had a pod cast 2/3 months ago with him in it. Idk what his future holds but he's back on his feet (as much as one that has gone through what he has can)
I don't agree with him on everything, but the people who attack him border on hysterical, like he's touched a nerve. Probably the one that runs through their ideology.
As a female listening to Jordan Peterson for years, I can't recall disagreeing with him nor being upset with anything he says. We are lucky to have him. He is a treasure.
But according to the political identitarians on the far left you should hate him because he's somehow oppressing you by stating verifiable facts. People who seek wisdom are few these days, and it's nice to see that people such as this are coming out and aren't afraid to state how they feel and stand against the absolute madness that's taken a foothold in the West bt a loud minority.
If you didn't find a single thing you disagree with, that means you adopt his opinions instead of making them your own. Listen to Peterson's stuff on ideology, integration of ideas and making them your own as well as growing in and out of personas. You're accepting a persona as your identity if what you're saying is true. It's not healthy. Ideas have people
If you are listening anyone who express opinions and thoughts for years and you never had a single disagreement, you are probably taking him as a cult leader not as a thinker.
I am a woman and have found JP to be extremely enlightening! I love how honest he is, and that he doesn't let journalists/interviewers push him around! Also he has a great handle on the Bible, the interviewer clearly doesn't understand it, but Jordan is bang on as usual.
Woman here as well and I think we're more than JP thinks. I hear about the percentages of men vs. women watching his YT lectures but I have no idea how they'd know. I never had to check a "male/female" box anywhere, when I made my account. Original YT-only account or since it was migrated into Google+ (now just Google). My account appears male. Yours as well, so we'd probably be sorted into "males". Basically, unless the name is specifically female or the DP is of a girl/woman, flowers, a kitten/cat or the colour pink, people tend to assume it's a male account, lol.

So get I that you might think that its a victim mentality but to me its looking for a reason why she chose to write some letters capital and others small, cause whenever we write, we tend to write what we think and feel or what we’ve gone through generally speaking, whenever we read we absorb the thoughts and feelings and/or experience(s), then we sort of feel and know why the writer has written and how they do feel and think when they wrote. We can only experience all this when because of the format of the text we have read, eg: since you cant shout via text to emphasise your point you have to write your text is capital or bold! You would not find it ridiculous cause people like you would see the trunk, branches and leaves of a tree but surely forget that what makes it blossom is the roots so I cant blame both of you
Interviewer: *makes a completely nonsensical and innacurate claim* Jordan: *explains how proposition is untrue with many reasons and examples* Interviewer: I don't want to talk about this
When she says they don't have time for her to argue all the points he uses as evidence she means she can't think of anything. He's informed by research, experience and intelligence and she's informed by a script and ideology.
The woman interviewing him on the British GQ was a champion of that sort of dodging. Especially when he asks her why she's "comfortable having her job if it's a product of a tyrannical patriarchy," and points out that she's a part of the most well-off class of people in history. Her response? "I don't think it will help the neanderthals for me to give up my job!" Right. Because that was the point of the line of discussion. Dr. Peterson consistently shows great class in not attacking those who dodge the issues like that, and it's really not even necessary for him to do so, as the hypocrisy is self-evident to anyone watching.
I'm a woman who grew up with 3 older brothers (so I was the young "precious" one) and my father died when I was very young. By all accounts I should have a victim mentality. Growing up with boys helped me to avoid seeing myself as the victim, but late adolescence/college taught me to be the victim. It was due to me discovering Jordan Peterson at 20 years old that I realized the popular narrative was false. He helped me re-contextualize my upbringing as massively useful since I was pushed & challenged by my older brothers and I realized how much they helped me develop into a harder-skinned individual despite not having a father. JP's message is very important for women just as it is for men.
I really appreciate how you put that and thank you for sharing it. I firmly believe what you say about college. Academia has a weird way of adultering your perspective.
@@robertwesley5639 I studied Economics so it wasn't really academia that taught me the victim mentality, more so just the general environment and my peers. But I do think it is blatantly taught within disciplines like "Gender Studies".

You're right. He seems more rattled than during the Kathy Newman interview. He's endured dozens if not more such interviews with ideologues and it's not doing him any good. @@MarcosArandia1 I think the reason JBP is so emotional, is because this isn't a purely academic topic for him. This is real life for him. Remember, he is a psychologist who is involved with patients on a personal level. If you're an empathetic person, it's very difficult to not become emotional. Even or me (I am not empathic), just watching these types of interviews, I become emotional - because he shows me what's at stake here. I believe there is really a cultural crisis, and I'm not optimistic. If that doesn't weigh heavy on you, you aren't paying attention. But you are right, Dr. Sowell takes a different approach. He doesn't often engage with the opposition anymore. But I think if you go back in time you'll find he had a different attitude. Remember, JBP was only launched into the limelight 5 years ago. Sowell was already into politics in the 80's and earlier - and back then he would engage (search for his old congressional appearances and on Firing Line). Who is right? He is still with us. A mother will teach you what to do to become a good person. But to become a man you have to learn it your self. But, how do we do? When now a days being a man feels like you are wrong and for that reason we are doomed to become hypothetically the last of a dying breed. A men breed. And here Jordan Bearnt Peterson shows up telling us truer words that ever been told about our existence, and it felt so good so hopeful but now just like the mother bear leaving her cubs to go on their own ways. He is standing right nxt to her (the mother bear) watching us doing the same thing . And as long as we will put his words into practice he won't miss you or anyone willing to do so. How some women manage to construe Jordan Peterson’s philosophies as being against women in any way is absolutely beyond me. I find them and him as a person more respectful, genuinely appreciative and affirming than anyone else I can think of right now.
Agree. I used to think that based on what people said but then came and listened to him and I'm like "wait, how did you get *that* from *him*?" I think people hear one clip and go with what the group thinks without really listening. I see the same thing happen with Joe Rogan and Mark Rippetoe.
I was trying to put this thought here into words! Everything he's saying is completely clear and not offensive at all. I see a smart, good fellow. It was irritating the way he was interrupted to speak about more crap and then profound things (or what should have been to the lady if she was listening) were totally ignored or picked apart and shittily argued by this negative point of view.
He is a spokesperson for PragerU, for christs sake. " wifes should give husbands sex when they want it, its their duty", " women dont know what they need, they need a strong man to look up to".....they got kicked off spotify for these cavemen messages.

People who can do well by themselves have no reason to take offense from reasonable, grounded discourse. For some reason, it's always the people looking to blame their mediocrity on external factors rather than themselves that get rabid when someone with a little bit of common sense pitches in on the conversation... And as Peterson says, I'm not denying that external factors play a big role in many cases - but never in history has it played less role on everyone's cases, generally speaking, so to have a rise of victimhood culture in the most educated institutions of the richest countries in the world is as much a self-evident joke as are the people who push the agenda.
@ididaflip Jordan Peterson has stated several times that according to the results of the Big Five personality test worldwide, there is very little difference overall in men and women's personalities. There is no such a thing as a "manly personality". People who play victim and blame others for their problems are just that - people. It has nothing to do with their sex or gender.
@@kleptokratija I suspect the one exception is that transgenders may be "offended" by the idea that you can choose not to address them by their preferred pronouns - in the same sense that Peterson (and myself) would be offended at the thought that someone else can dictate (legally or otherwise) what words I get to choose or not choose to use as a sovereign human being. Other than that, nothing else comes to mind that could be reasonably construed as "offensive" but in these days of outrage culture, almost everything he says has been, is or will be deemed "politically offensive" for the sake of an agenda.
If you are close to his RUclips channel you can understand that... Not only his wife was with cancer but he, himself, had problems with anti-depressives and other things... I hope he can recuperate well and soon.
@Traubad he's stated before that it does have an effect on him multiple times. I think most popular one is him talking to Joe Rogan. They were talking about Twitter mostly and how they have to stay off it because no matter how "strong" you are... these "little punches" add up. He doesn't like the idea that he's been labeled all these negative things because he truly wants to help people and the people who have been brainwashed don't care to listen to his side and it's sad. Now I will say he's more strong willed than most but it all adds up so it's definitely has had an effect on his well-being.
When Jordan gets emotional about the people that come to him and tell him how much he has helped them, I get emotional. Because I am one of them. Jordan Peterson gave me to tools to save myself. My life was so bad; addicted to opiate pain pills, I had chased away family and friends and was truly alone. I discovered him on Joe Rogan's show and began watching his lectures, and reading 12 Rules for Life. That was a couple years ago. Now my life is very different; I am healthier than I have ever been, moving forward in my job, starting a family, and have SEVEN books planned and am writing the first. This man gave me the insight to pull myself off the floor, and fight for my future. And it's working. I can't thank this man enough for what he has given me.
Enlightenment is the end of Knowledge. Of transcending the mind altogether to peace and unconditional happiness. Peterson is a genius thinker but nowhere close to enlightenment.

@@stabilast Good for you Bro. I’ll never understand how a father can be absent from their child’s upbringing. I can’t imagine missing all that joy I’ve had over the years. Never before has a single individual had a more positive influence on so many people who have lost their way in the world. I was one. By simply listening to his lectures which by me were found by searching for remedies to depression down the rabbit hole of You Tube, I was pulled out of a 9 month darkness in which I intentionally let myself fall so deeply and completely that I thought there was no escape. The role of siblings really hit home for me....I was a single child also with no father figure, and rather than becoming self centred and narcissistic, I was instead terribly self-conscious with a real lack of confidence, and found mingling / playing with other kids painful and more of a stress than a pleasure... Easy pickings for bullies. Anyway, I now have 3 kids, because I realise as Peterson emphatically says, siblings keep each other in check, this in turn leads to more natural confidence, responsibility, and social awareness at school, and by consequence into adulthood. It took me into my mid-late 20s to really grow as a person and I really had to strive to break through fear barriers. I am so glad my kids have their siblings to reflect off of and that I managed not to run from my marriage, and to stick it out. To me this has been a lived experience and a tenet that I think should be obvious to humanity...why it isn't is really quite concerning. Peterson is a great man for raising awareness of the cause and effect in what seems like our cultural demise, among his many other valuable teachings.
The unfettered genius and empathy within this man is astounding. And just think, the chances of society being aware of such a person would be close to zero without the internet.
Very well said. There are people throughout history that Define the times. People throughout history that leave an indelible impression. Jordan Peterson is that man. For anyone who argues otherwise, well, they certainly would not be able to hold grounds in a debate against him. I haven't seen it yet
@@primalcritters I don't disagree with your opinion of the man's brilliance. But that doesn't make him correct 100% of the time. He is as provably fallible as any other brilliant person that speaks long enough. And he has been successfully debated by several people, also brilliant people, that I have seen here on youtube. He debated Slavoj Zizek on social policies, and irregardless of your opinions of either man or their ideologies...they both made phenomenal cases for their side, and they both most certainly held their ground. As far as him being a person that defines the time, that is too subjective for me to contend with...that will always be different people for different reasons. Someone might say Napoleon defined the period for the fifty or so years that he lived, but another might say it was Beethoven. They lived almost the same life span during the exact same time period...but you can see how subjective these "definitions" are.
@@Wysewolf I understand what you are saying and Jordan Peterson has not managed to transcend mortality. I will watch the interview you speak of. I have seen him debate multiple times and While he has debated some very intelligent people that presented their case well, his argument supersedes all others because his is based in the very simple principle of common sense. Moreover, I feel that Jordan Peterson is quite moderate on many things but has gained prominence for speaking to issues that have risen to the level of media discourse, issues that fall on the extreme ends of the spectrum, and that most average people do not support. I would love to know what exactly in the interview you mentioned that you agreed with, with reference to the person that you mentioned?
I’m 24, a woman, en route to become a surgeon. I have watched all of his videos and many of his interviews and never once have I felt like he was against woman. It frustrates me that some people think that. He has helped me so much. I am so thankful.
the people that don't like him are the people that don't take responsibility for them selves, you know the ones that blame every one else for their failures and bad feelings.
Thanks for reaching to that conclusion and sharing it. I'm so happy that this ideology is not taking every person to antagonizing men against women. He's always talking about being responsible for yourself and realizing that you're also responsible of your happiness and following this neo Marxist feminism won't help anyone to reach happiness.
It's not women who are offended by his message. It's Lefties. It's Progressives. It's ideologies that think wealth isn't created, it's taken. They confuse rights with privilege. They want to institute policies focused on equality of outcome. Don't worry, people like me who believe in freedom know there are plenty of you out there. Women who think for themselves.
And that indeed is a breath of fresh air. When I speak of Jordan Peterson and recommend him to leftist extremists then they insult me instantly, I then ask them to present examples of their arguments, for which they generally are never are able to produce anything except further insults, and then I state that if you can't have a decent conversation where we can share a dialog then how can we become more aware of the actual facts and what is actually the truth.
Did you hear him say that you are doing it wrong? 😅 A surgeon has no time for dating and definitely no time for children. And you need children to not lose your mind at 40.. You should become a nurse and find a husband who is a surgeon..
@Solara Solara no he almost died from meditation complications. After his wife developed cancer he became depressed and then antidepressants completely messed him up.
@@The_Quota_Official Beyond dictionary, I think of lucidity as akin to sensory deprivation. A lucid person removes considerations that aren't germane to the topic of study. Simple as that sounds it's difficult to achieve as in order to do so you must deeply understand your own nature, your own predilections, your own darkness.
I am Clyde and you probably aren't Sounds like you’re discussing phenomenology, which is the ability to see the conditions of possibility for the world to appear, which is essentially getting down to the “essential” discourse, or reducing, or putting out of play, unnecessary salience- more so its like Jordan is witnessing the ontological grounds for the birthplace of his epistemological foundations.
Heavy is the Head, JP. You will be a very notable character when our history is taught. You are suffering for your greatness, no doubt, but you have taken up your burden as a leader with honor and resolve and most uniquely- gratitude. It's a bewildering combination these days and exactly what the world needed. You are a great thinker of our times.. one day college students will be reading and discussing you in much the same way you yourself studied your own philosophical idols.
Dr. Peterson suffers from the pain of human reality. He has integrated his heart and head and hands into a life of responsible compassion. I’m grateful to be alive at the same time. History will know him as one of the game changers and as a great philosopher.
It's really nice to see women supporting sane views. I don't agree with Peterson all the time, but for the most part I think he is bang on, with all the hate thrown around nowadays you forget the majority of people are actually sane. More power to you.
History has shown bill c16 was passed and that JP's "compelled speech" argument was deemed a gross mischaracterisation. History has also shown he would go on to make millions of dollars from 12 rules for life and subsequent tours before going into rehab after developing a dependency on strong prescription drugs which helped him through his wife's terminal cancer treatment. Ironically his rules for life almost UNNECESSARILY killed him...
@@owenarnold7611 No, his rules didn't but the medical system kills hundreds of thousands of people every year. And that's just pharmacy and surgery mistakes, let alone doctors prescribing things they shouldn't or failing to supervise after they prescribe. It can happen to anyone. I was told I needed an antibiotic that ended up crippling me and I still am trying to recover 6 years later, and it turned out my test for infection was negative and no one bothered to tell me to not finish the prescription. Jordan should never have been prescribed benzos, especially for the length of time that he was.
@@possumfriend2335 Rule 7. Pursue what is meaningful, not what is expedient. JP had been taking benzos since 2016 after he had some severe sulphite reaction to food. His family physician prescribed it along with zopiclone. Up until Tammy got the terminal diagnosis last year he developed a weakness on his left side, detachment and loss of joy. As his anxiety went up following his wifes devastating news in 2019 he asked his doctor to INCREASE his benzo dosage. At this point he became a lost cause and dependent. And now go back to his rule 7. Was his pursuit of benzos (and request for increase dosage) meaningful or expedient? Keeping in mind he is a trained medical professional? Also keep in mind his infamous "beef diet" very likely played a significant role in his sulphite reaction that kick started his dependency on benzos..... He played a substantial role in his own demise....utilising one of his own rules....... You've not convinced me the medical system....which he is part of.....Was SOLELY to blame. He did his bit.....
@@zeroz88 He is majorly responsible for his own mental downfall......and his request for MORE benzos from his family physician is arguably the "slave to the instant gratification" angle that you accuse me of failing to understand. Plus that specific chapter was more about the meaning of life and the necessity for "struggle" and how that brings about "meaning". He unnecessarily brought the struggle onto his family when he should have been the rock in a time of genuine crisis. "What can I not doubt? The reality of suffering. It brooks no arguments. Nihilists cannot undermine it with skepticism. Totalitarians cannot banish it. Cynics cannot escape from its reality. Suffering is real, and the artful infliction of suffering on another, for its own sake, is wrong. That became the cornerstone of my belief. And he continues a bit later with: If the worst sin is the torment of others, merely for the sake of the suffering produced-then the good is whatever is diametrically opposed to that. The good is whatever stops such things from happening."

Jordan B. Peterson : "my message to the Hungarians: Do not rebel. What your leader is trying to do is to restore the metaphysical foundation of the Hungarian culture."
It seems that everyone understands Jordan's beliefs as he explains them. But for some reason every female journalist who interviews him can't help hearing some cryptic message about woman belonging in the kitchen. .
But he's CONSTANTLY angry. Agressive. It's counterproductive in his views. Oh and cursing multiple times in the name of God or Jesus is OK? Or this isn't cursing merely because you don't hear it as a curse or vulgar? Anyone who chooses vocabulary of offense is choosing a crutch to communicate. It's a lack of vocabulary. And his attacking of her is way out of line. He's offline, and unprofessional, much less abusive. He has another recent audio only interview that is with a NY-UK interviewer who was trying her best to be decent until the end, when she tried to get something controversial about Trump. It is shown throughout the entire interview -- but particularly crystal clear in the last few moments (when discussing his book), how incredibly and woefully uninformed the people who interview him are about what he truly is and what he truly espouses in his lectures, podcasts, etc. He shreds them to pieces. Politely, respectfully, and intellectually. But he shreds his interviewers to pieces. No matter their academic credentials, they are no match for his experience, intellect, and breadth of competence.
This interview keeps coming up on RUclips auto play. I keep watching it over and over. I am a Theoretical Physics man. I am also a lover of Mathematics. And a professional systems programmer and analyst. I have developed, by education and work , a very acute detection system against BS. Dr. Peterson draws perfectly logical, intellectually honest conclusions based on the data available to him. There is no BS on his mind. He seeks understanding, knowledge and pure honesty. That is what attracts so many men AND women to him. It baffles me that his interviewers (usually women) cannot understand him. He is absolutely transparent and direct, and yet these interviewers do not understand him. Why? Simple: they choose not to. And if they choose not to understand him, if they choose to catch him in contradictions and ideological holes, they're fully immersed in an ideology that views Dr. Peterson's ideas as a... threat. I am somewhat divided between finding the approach followed by this interviewer (and all others, from Newman to the other petulant one) as simply sad or utterly despicable.
It's not just that. By then his wife was being (mis)diagnosed with a deadly cancer, and that, alongside all the traveling, the pressure, and the use of benzodiazepines for his increasing anxiety, nearly killed him. He's only began to recover recently. He was going through a lot when this was recorded. There's more info in his official page and his daughter's, Mikhaila, if you're interested.
Yeah, when you are about 50 times smarter and more educated than everyone around you, it must be frustrating to try to explain why socialism is a bad idea.
Truly, someone should nominate him to run for Prime Minister of Canada, if his health holds up. Now all you Canadian fans need to speak up and convince him to do so, aye?
Thanks. Don't be afraid to struggle forward stupidly. Never, ever belittle small steps in the right direction taken by you or others. Keep your ego in check. What you do matters, so get after it.
One of the things that's absolutely staggering about Dr. Peterson is his capacity to explain complex problems in a simple way and his willingness to do so. How he stayed there to the end is beyond me.
@UCx0fDXBMJyJtzGIVD8j8FtA 1. The word you are looking for is "hypocrite", 2. No. Benzos+no self control=addiction. 3. Blaming his wife for his own failings is possibly the lowest thing a man can do.
He's such an incredibly, honest, intelligent man ; I would love to see some of these people literally engage him in conversation, rather than just trying to refute where he stands. This particular interview, I felt like the interviewer never engaged.
Every young man and woman needs to watch this early on in life and then watch it once a month. JP is a National Treasure. Nobel prize for academics is in order. 🏆✅🙏🏾
I would absolutely agree IF the Nobel was actually worth anything anymore but, they have bestowed it upon so many undeserving and halfwits as to make it less than.
What age would you suggest would be good to have a youngster start? Would love to know your thoughts. I want to have my kids have knowledge but never know exactly would be a good time for certain things so thought I would get your opinion. Thank you for your time.
Dr Jordan Peterson is so elegant and insightful in giving his answers and explaining his views, under what I see as foolish and uninformed attacks that are an attempt to discredit him, he is a master of his own truth, there is no intellectual in our time that I admire more. His truth and intellect is what the world needs today. God's speed Dr Peterson.
I'm a woman and I have to say I have never felt disrespected by the words of dr Peterson, quite the contrary. I have to say I was listening to him a lot during very hard months in my life. I understood much more about people and myself and life in general. Now, I even think it may have saved my life in a way. It surely had a very positive impact and changed my perspective a lot. Regarding the opinion that statements like "chaos is feminine" and "Bible oppresses women", I totally disagree with both. I regard chaos as potential, creativity the unknown to explore and for me it's fascinating and beautiful. (like women are ;)) I also liked that dr Peterson showed the dark side if we we need to be also aware it it's dark side. I did experience that and I'm grateful for naming it. The other thing which was said in the book about women which I liked was sth like that we are Nature and we have impact on reproduction as this is us who decide who whose gens will be passed to the next generation. I hope I remembered that well. I see that rather as putting us on a very good position if we really have to do this whole positioning at all. In the Bible as far as I can remember next to the fragment about obeying there is a fragment that men should take a very good care of women. I don't mind if sb is taking care of me, I feel loved and safe and I don't mind listening to sb who loves me. There's plenty of other positive fragments also. I guess you cannot take one sentence out of a book and make an opinion based only on that. We all know it, yet we all do it, maybe more and more often. The time when this interview was taken was very hard for dr Peterson, as we know now. Big regards for that (among other things), dr Peterson.
Jake as a woman I wish more men would listen intently and deeply to Prof Jordan Peterson and apply their findings. I think it would greatly improve relationships between men and women.
@@Croco_XX "it would greatle improve relationships between men and women". As a Catholic, I find this quote from you especially meaningful. Pope Francis said that God's greatest masterpiece is a man and woman who love each other. This, of course, is in the context of marriage, but it underlines that it's HARD. Masterpieces don't just happen overnight. There's real effort, suffering, deaths to self, etc. When women see men dying to themselves more and men see women doing the same for the sake of each other and the family, there will be more love and admiration for one another as men and women.
Jake I echo your argument. I think both men and women would need to contribute in their own way and capacity the best they possibly can to make a relationship work, as well as sacrifice part of their egos and self centred superficial motivations to achieve a strong and loving relationship. Is it easy to achieve? certainly not, hence we have lots of challenges, divorces, separations and heart breaks in our society. But... if there is a will there is a way.... I believe.
I am a woman and she misrepresented Dr Peterson, his writings, AND the Bible. She takes verses from the Bible, takes them out of context, etc. in order to fit her worldview and when he factually shows she is incorrect, she responds with “can you understand why they would FEEL…??” Who cares what they feel if it isn’t based on what is actually stated??
That’s the right way to counteract someone’s opinion. Tell them they’re dumb. Tell someone that enjoys listening to them speak that they have a small brain. He’s actually having an impact on peoples lives. And here you are, shitting on him and anyone that agrees with him in the comments. You’re doing a fantastic job at it too. Keep changing those lives from the comments section. Keep on keeping on. You do you, I’ll do me….dopey small brain and all.
“I don’t like ideologues, because they don’t like to think - they just like to think that they’re right.” When the hairs on your arms stand up because you’ve heard something that speaks your mind - and speaks to your soul - so deeply, it is nothing short of a miracle.
JP speaks fair with the utmost compassion for all of life on this earth. He speaks with the highest integrity, deep knowledge that is backed by longstanding studies by the most brilliant minds of our time. He bases his speeches, debates and teachings from solid provable history of proof of outcome. He is a gift to all people and societies that still have the ability to think independently and individually. I do not even acknowledge , in fact, I dismiss anyone that states he is against women because I personally cannot engage with someone that mentally bankrupt and brainwashed. It’s a waste of time and it is extremely irritating. Anyone that has the ability to comprehend that believes he hates women is against women or is a dangerous individual, are to far gone to consider. I say let them self destruct in their own (and their group) ignorance.
And it's crazy cause almost everyone today are ideologues they don't think they just follow the crowd because they don't want to be the odd one out but look at men like this he speaks the truth or at least what he believe it is not because he wants to be offensive but because it's right

For god sake we need him now more than ever. His wisdom during this pandemic could save lives daily. Quite a few in fact! I miss him so freaking much.......
@H N I don’t know but maybe ..... Maybe for the same reason he sounds angry all the time: He is not well He is exhausted He is answering questions from hostile interviewers who seem to be deliberately obtuse He has been doing it for years and receiving a load of subtle and not so subtle abuse The subjects under discussion are serious He’s wondering why he bothers It takes everything he has to keep his patience He cares
The media's treatment of this man was despicable. His message as far as most people know it is that he's some kind of Nazi. You can see in his eyes how DEEPLY he cares for people. I love him so much. He helped me out of a dark time. God save you, Jordan Peterson.

@@bigthetruth2995 There is no irony. Naturally ppl and societys grow, but also ppl and society conform and have a tendecy towards comfort. There is a polarity if you will. It is a matter of proportion and how many growth or how many stagnation can one percieve at the present moment. You're loosing sight lf the argument. Is not about the ppl he has helped. Is about Peterson's account of the state of society right now and the fact we should all be grateful. I think he overtates that case. Cuz the same society that he protects is the one full of ppl always trying to bring him down, and the society which prescribed benzos for his illness. He had to go to the east, even when all he does is praise the west. No one in the west could save his life. Now that is irony. Even if we have a somewhat functioning society and its the best we have done in history, it is still full of deep holes in our value systems and in many of its facets. But I, for example don't like his chirstian apologism. That has a lot to do with my opinion. Even though I'm no patrirchy leftist, I feel there are ways we have been astray ever since chistrianity and the dark ages. So yeah. I have a grimer picture of society. Cuz what's the point of having certain benefits and comfort, if ppl don't look primarily for meaning and truth in their lives. Which they don't. So yeah. Get it right if you're gonna refute.
@@kennyfernandez2866 you should be grateful. when speaks about this he is talking about the leftist that want to dismantle western society’s yet they hide behind our laws and constitution and weaponize it, the people that want to take him down don’t seem to realize he would not be who he is today without them they called for an adversary and he answered which is why he is not the only intellectual that has taken up the gauntlet so to speak. Sorry about my grammar I am busy conforming and need both hands.
@@bigthetruth2995 I know, but that is one of my critiques of Peterson. Is that his speech cannot be just contestatarian about the leftist. He should have a point of view in terms of the all. And he does, but he won't flesh it out for whatever reason and that feeds into ppl misrepresenting and hating him. If you wanna speak about christianity and outline its virtues, also outline its faults. If you wanna speak about society's virtues, also outline it's fauls. But he doesn't. And to me that signals he leans somewhat to the right and is conservative by disposition. He won't dare critizice to much the status quo, but instead critizice those who are critizicing. And he does have a point, and I admire him. But I wish he was more of an iconoclast and less of a traditionalist.
The part when he says we have men working in on the buildings and under the streets literally to death tears me up a bit. It is nice to have someone so articulate put that into words for me personally, and for the world. Dr. Peterson is a gift, and anyone with some time that skimmed this interview should consider giving a few hours of their lives to his lectures.
That part hits me too. It's so sad that the treacherous works that men have done and do that most women would never want to do that have built our society and keep it running comfortably so that people can sit in their homes and offices and complain about how oppressed they are- is never acknowledged. Our men deserve so much appreciation! Thank you for the work you have done

Ideas have people
He is so good at his field.
If you are listening anyone who express opinions and thoughts for years and you never had a single disagreement, you are probably taking him as a cult leader not as a thinker.

I do not disagree with whatever you said but I oppose your feminist word play in that statement, I will enlighten you how and why.
Basically you wrote like a feminist writing an article in favour of Jordan, do you get it? What is mostly important in your statement is “ He is an inspiration for ALL rational, conscientious humans. “ So I dont know how many of his videos, books, reviews, articles or even interviews that you have watch read and analysed because whatever you know about Dr Peterson and whatever you know he has actually taught, to me it only seems like a needle in a hay stack.

You would not find it ridiculous cause people like you would see the trunk, branches and leaves of a tree but surely forget that what makes it blossom is the roots so I cant blame both of you
Interviewer: *makes a completely nonsensical and innacurate claim*
Jordan: *explains how proposition is untrue with many reasons and examples*
Interviewer: I don't want to talk about this
When she says they don't have time for her to argue all the points he uses as evidence she means she can't think of anything.
Why would she change the subject or "not want to go into details" whenever her argument gets destroyed. Fucking hypocrites.

Sometimes I wish Dr. Sowell was in the public eye as much as JBP - he could help us just as much. But I don't envy either of them, any Cassandra will be hated more than they are loved (at least until they are gone).

She doesn’t deal in ‘facts’. She deals in ‘feelings’. That’s the problem. I’m a woman and an INDIVIDUAL. Right on, Jordan!
I'm a woman, college graduate, successful business owner & have a rather dominant style personality. Nothing JP says about the differences in men & women offends me ...recognizing the strengths & differences in men doesn't diminish my own strengths. So thankful for his teachings & talks.
@study & observation Great comment in many ways. So proud of you.
That’s obviously because you are a mature intelligent person who isn’t a “victim”.👍

He doesn't like the idea that he's been labeled all these negative things because he truly wants to help people and the people who have been brainwashed don't care to listen to his side and it's sad. Do you know anyone else in the world that holds the same or similar, philosophy, and ideas as Jordan Peterson? Preferably feminine.
I so second this!
Huge congratulations for sticking with your marriage. Rare, noble & admirable.
They lived almost the same life span during the exact same time period...but you can see how subjective these "definitions" are.

the people that don't like him are the people that don't take responsibility for them selves, you know the ones that blame every one else for their failures and bad feelings.

Peterson's ideas as a... threat.

I believe.
Jake PS: beautifully said. Thank you.
This man is a hero. Plain and simple. One of the only public intellectuals with the balls to see what’s going on and speak it.
He is a grifter and clearly you have bought in. He speaks non sense yet your small brain thinks they are great new ideas…you are a dope
And it's crazy cause almost everyone today are ideologues they don't think they just follow the crowd because they don't want to be the odd one out but look at men like this he speaks the truth or at least what he believe it is not because he wants to be offensive but because it's right
Strange guy
I immediately wrote this quote down to share.
✨You're the first male I've read admitting to having a visceral response to Dr. Peterson. Thank you so much for sharing. So many men, young men, especially, are seemingly terrified of voicing their emotions to anyone. Any yet, you did it for all of us strangers. Thank you, my darling. ✨
For god sake we need him now more than ever. His wisdom during this pandemic could save lives daily. Quite a few in fact! I miss him so freaking much.......
@H N this isn’t new
@H N this. interview. is. old. therefore. your. question. is. invalid. do you understand yet?
When a person speaks on things that touch the soul it can move a man or woman to tears.
@H N says the person with the sarcastic response when I kindly informed you this interview is not new
@H N
I don’t know but maybe .....
Maybe for the same reason he sounds angry all the time:
He is not well
He is exhausted
He is answering questions from hostile interviewers who seem to be deliberately obtuse
He has been doing it for years and receiving a load of subtle and not so subtle abuse
The subjects under discussion are serious
He’s wondering why he bothers
It takes everything he has to keep his patience
He cares
As a woman myself, hes opened my eyes to things i never considered and i find myself being a better person for it.
then why must we know about your vagina ? why was that even important to tell us?!
The media's treatment of this man was despicable. His message as far as most people know it is that he's some kind of Nazi.
You can see in his eyes how DEEPLY he cares for people. I love him so much. He helped me out of a dark time. God save you, Jordan Peterson.
God Bless you Jordan Peterson ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
It WASN'T despicable. It IS despicable as they insist on attacking him to this day.
Wtf do you mean "most people"? 🤦 How do you know? Its not most people. Its the LOUDEST people.
I miss him so much. Especially lately.
Because of Peterson’s books, lectures, etc- I am currently working on registering a Non-Profit organization for the community I’ve been apart of since I was 13. (22 now)
Because of this, I am also branching out and starting multiple businesses to generate revenue for programming in my non-profit.
My relationships have been stronger and longer-lasting and more meaningful overall. Thank you for your mentorship Jordan
This is awesome! Good on ya man.. nothing but positive will push you forward
Well done.
Brave of you to discipline and educate yourself on your free time. These days its very hard.
And thanks to Prof P’s influence I am not only making my bed every morning but I’m working out more, and attempting to write my (hopefully) first book. I miss this man, get well soon Prof P. We need you back.
Have you told the women in your family that they in the job market is just an expiriment that has been going on 40yrs and men still havent decided wether its gonna work out? You just gonna keep them in the dark? Have you told them them women in 1950 were much happier than them when they were under the heel of their fathers and husbands? Have you started reading the bible here in 2020 to find the truth in the stories there so you can save western civilisation from becoming like china under communism?
At 59 when I found this local man, Jordon, and I've found him very reinforcing. Now days away from 62, I find myself tuning into Dr J Peterson and can add a twist from my life with multiple sclerosis. Thx Jordon.
Jordon Peterson is virtually the ONLY adult I know of whose speech makes sense to me these days.
Sad truth. The irony that the societies that he defends breed children/adults who never grow.
@@kennyfernandez2866 the actual irony is that you are saying he defends society’s that don’t grow, yet everyone in comments say how much his words helped them grow. self growth is objective anyways what you may see as failure someone else may be completely content with.
I have tried for a very long time to explain to people what a 120 hour work week is like. I have never heard anything but, I would never do that.
@@babytheresalight6699 Thank you times a billion =)
Took a definite hit to my health going like that for 4 months, and i'm in IT.
work out, especially work on your core and lower back.
I would in a heartbeat , this man is brilliant it's amazing his train of thought never wavers . I'm so glad I listened to him today!! His agenda is to be a good human being!
@xerr0n fellow human checking in on you: yes, sedentary work conditions can be horrible for the back and neck. Do stay active, friend.
His pain is palpable. It is not surprising to learn in retrospect that he soon afterwards slipped into illness. The years of being one of few sensible voices that has answered the bell every time the multitude of idiocy has rung it has taken its toll on JP. This is why we need to remind him at every turn that we will both support him and get out in front of him and ease his burden that we are so grateful to him for bearing.
This was when his wife was dying of cancer.
Her chance of surviving was close to 0. Talk about the Lord...
@@Lightnings That's right, not just that, there was a whole host of problems on top of that meaning that he simply wasn't sleeping at all, and you can see that here.
That is so damn true and so great. I agree whole-heartedly.
You are so right. It is so good to see him back.
I believe that everyone who loves and supports JP should create a protection fund! He is much too valuable a human being to walk around unprotected! He is surely a major threat to the evil, criminal, corrupt, mass-murdering Globalist Cabal, who seek to destroy the current system, murder billions of us and control who ever is left!
i love everything he does and also that she doesn’t interrupt him like most interviewers
This man keeps on the verge of tears for the entirety of this video. This speaks volumes towards his character. He says what he means and means what he says.
Those accusations at the end were lacking so much in substance we actually had a Cathy Newman situation again
Dr. P was deep within his addiction to benzos during this time and in poor health. Unfortunately this almost killed him, gladly he fought back and took some much needed time to fully recover. He came back firing on all cylinders, he came back when he was so desperately needed, lord knows he's rich enough that he could have just lived a peaceful long life but he still chose to jump back into the fire.
His vulnerability and sincerity, compassion and empathy exposes that he’s for real.

it's the accuracy that gets me.
