Wow this really hard to listen to, it's pretty obvious that she is attempting to trap him into some clickbait statement to add to her bias cause. I'm amazed at the temperament and patience of this man.
I think she did a good job of research, and had decent questions. The issue is her demeanor when she gets knocked off topic was slightly antagonistic and came from her political bias.
He is truly cool. When I was a boy I looked up to guys who had the confidence to walk up to girls in the street, as a man I look up to men who can engage them, challenge them, and make them laugh with intelligence, and charisma. Russell Brand and JP exemplify "cool" to me.
The most frustrating thing about these types of interviews is that the interviewer has no genuine interest in understanding JBP and his views. That’s why I prefer people like Joe Rogan or Dave Rubin who have a genuine curiosity about the people they interview.
I feel you dude but personally I'm unsure about Joe Rogan from what I've seen. I’ve noticed multiple instances of him not even trying to understand where his guests are coming from. He also didn’t seem to understand that people aren’t, on the spot, always able to say things in the exact spirit of what they mean. That kind of lack of understanding seems, to me, to be the temperament of someone who’s far more dismissive than they are curious. I’ve heard from people that he’s improved over time though so maybe I’ve just coincidentally seen his bad talks amongst an ocean of good ones, I'm open to that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Genuine interests in that Canadian hack!? Peterson is a no one who is out there to make some buck of out gullible impressionable males. And he is succeeding in that money making enterprise.
It's important to not target a person. Rather the ideas their putting forth. Therefore it's positively critical to restate the idea to insure that one is truly arguing the idea. Jordan Peterson has long argued he will build up an opposing idea as strong as he can to pay it respect before taking it on. In this way no one can say he didn't give the devil his due.
@@Hongkongnyc jp uses objective sounding language when most of the time he's expressing an opinion. The fact that none of you seem to understand that speaks for itself 🤩
Jordan: This is not my opinion. These are just the facts. Interviewer: I don't want to hear facts. I want to hear your opinion so that I can accuse you of having a terrible opinion.
It's not just this interview, seems to be loads of media outlets were they send him up against a woman who does not want to listen and then fails to make basic assumptions that would be common place in normal conversation, like thinking that serial harassers are vomit inducing. To be fair though that last point mainly connects to that fact that these women are expecting literal Hitler to come to the interview, not the most mild mannered Canadian dad of the internet. JBP: "Clean your room" Internet: *Sigh* "Fine....."
Scott Ferguson True. Despite not really caring for Russell Brand, he gave EXACTLY what a proper interview consists of; questions that allow the person to dissect and explain what they mean, ask for elaborations, ACTUALLY LISTENING to the elaborations, approach the interview as if the person has something to teach you, don’t project, offer healthy criticism, play devil’s advocate when needed, etc.. She seems to be disagreeing just for the sake of disagreement without offering anything concrete to combat JP’s citations of well-established studies. As an interview, it sucks. But for the 4,000 “JP Destroys....” videos/week, it’s another goldmine.
Marino Mazzei Exactly! I was surprise by Russel actually he did a great job, and I think it mainly comes down to the difference between a discussion of ideas versus what we got here, point scoring.
The discussion with Matt Dilahunty was also a really good one, and I think he actually challenged Peterson's worldview meaningfully and they both offered good justifications for their ideas. They demonstrated different ways to view the universe and truth, while being very entertaining as well.
I actually used to respect her and think she was better than the SJW snowflakes also writing in the London Evening Standard. She comes over very poorly here, as if trying to ape Cathy Newman - but not being able to summon the same level of malevolence.
The trick is to realize and accept a fundamental truth no matter how revolting or unfair: Good people have to play by different rules than bad people. Same rules don't apply to everybody. Evil people will taunt, mock, bully, provoke and all manner of immoral and uncivil behavior, in the attempt to get you to their level, where they can drag you through the mud. NOBODY will condemn them for that behavior, but will crucify you if you accept the challenge. They want to change the subject, no matter the debate, to how inappropriate YOU are, because they don't posses the truth or the facts and they know it. DONT LET THEM! DONT BE TEMPTED TO RETALIATE. No one will care who started it, and they will blame you, ALWAYS. It's hard, but if you keep your cool and stick to the subject, it actually becomes a lot more satisfying and productive, not only because you win the argument, but because this is what pains them the most. They are getting cancer while watching you destroy their rhetoric with facts, while their impotent attacks glance off you like toy arrows off tanks.
@@oldscorp unfortunatley the sort of ppl you are challenging with logic comes in waves! so you can win against a wave or two but when something illogical comes and a cryout is made with only emotional perspective, the loss will be closer and closer! at the end of the day you will just have a war against yourself!

I think that's the one thing he did wrong in the interview honestly. He needed to stay calm just as he was and drive some points deeper. Staying with his completely relaxed manner, he just needed to say "before we move on from _ _ _ _, I'd like to elucidate it further." I met JP last month in Cincinnati (after an entire year of waiting). I've never been happier in my life. As soon as it was my turn to get a picture with him for the "meet and greet", anxiety hit me hard. It's so weird meeting someone you admire. I've listened to every one of his debates, speeches, and audio books, and he's genuinely changed my life. Anyways, it was my turn to walk up to him for a picture and I got major butterflies. I looked at him and choked up a little. I said "my heart is pounding so hard. You are my personal hero Dr. Peterson." He smiled, looked into my eyes, and asked what my name was. I told him and he shook my hand and said "It's a pleasure to meet you, Peter." His speech that night was incredible, insightful, and downright beautiful. The man radiates warmth, kindness, and compassion. I'm so glad I got a chance to meet the person I admire most in this world. He genuinely makes me want to become my best self.

Indeed. I got annoyed and frustrated just listening to her. Most of her comments were there just to try to look smart. He, held his ground admirably though.
Dr. Peterson is probably the most misunderstood man walking earth. My initial analysis is that it must be exhausting to continually be on the defense; however, after some thought it might not be as strenuous because he doesn’t have to remember to play a character. He simply shows up as himself, and shares information he’s learned over decades of study. People don’t realize he RARELY EVER gives his personal opinion on anything (unless he’s persistently asked to share), his thoughts are based off scientific data and research. I’m always inspired after hearing him speak, God bless you Dr. Peterson!
As a 34 year old professional, it was 2 years ago after having my 3rd child, I am now a stay at home mother. I stand behind Jordan Peterson. A title and a high figure pay does not match bringing up and being a maternal constant for my household. Less emotionally disregulated children and peace than a decade ago. Keep it up Mr. Peterson!!!
Get the book "Two income trap" by Elizabeth Warren ... a lot of families are now wading through 40/50 years of financial hell only to realise that they're kids are not in a good space. Think a man can stay at home as much as a woman can (if that suits the couple) ... but the concept of dual income household as the norm for society is having / and is going to have lots of long term consequences
Well as a society we are pushed in to believing that we need a certain amount of "stuff" to maintain a "normal" life or to give the appearance of success. The idea of success now is almost entirely material in the western world, it's no accident that people's individual happiness has gone down due to this desire to look materially wealthy.
The problem is that the mainstream media are activists, not journalists. she wanted this interview, not to defeat Peterson, not to prove the far left justifiable. she wanted it so she could use him to stand atop her ivory tower and gain power from pushing him aside. not that she did, or could. she is here for woke points plain and simple.
if I may, I'll generalize your sentence: SJWs have to stop trying to win an argument with people who actually know what they are talking about, and instead need to try and learn something from those people.
The problem is that these journalists begin with conclusions about the people they interview and try to get interviewees to confirm the journalists conclusions. The journalists already have their narrative, therefore have no need to really listen, or learn. They already believe that they "know" the facts based on their opinions.

7 reasons why I already admire Jordan Peterson and I just discovered him last week Jordan Peterson makes being smart attractive!! 1.A good teacher Jordan Peterson is very intelligent ,he has the ability to take complex subjects and turn them into digestible, easily understandable information not to mention that he uses regular stories, the Bible and movies and different religions as examples 2.A great orator (Articulate/Assertive) He is very articulate , a great story teller in deed! one can listen to him for hours , I don't remember the last time I was excited to listen/watch an interview. He is very assertive, he knows how to get his point across and he alligns his words so well that if you would cut off the interviewer part his answers perfectly follow up ... just as if it was a speech . 3.Great composure/patience Anyone in their right mind would attack the interviewer not Jordan Peterson, I think he has a perfect mind that's how he can stand her, keep calm, even think about his answers ,and to some questions that I thought were pure mischaracterisation and that he shoud decline to answer ... nonetheless he answered ... so much respect to you Mr Peterson ! 4.His compassion his compassion and ability to show empathy and emotions when necessary. He cares about the individual ,his/her progress and that's how you know if he met you he would value you, #you matter # you are important# you don't have to come as a group to get my attention# I can see you True, we may have similar experiences but our copying mechanisms are different ,our challenges are different So it's important to be seen as an individual, to be encouraged to improve ,that's how one can feel valuable and since we are social beings we tend to share, we spread both negativity and positivity so that's how you start a cycle of goodness, hardwork, selfrespect....and more Basically teach me how to catch a fish and I'll do it myself next time. Not deliver fishes to me so I can be codependent and lose self respect because I am incapable of taking care of myself and I can't live without you. And by the way a strong group is usually comprised of strong individuals, a good team is usually comprised of good players there's no other way around it. One cannot aspire to the well being of the group while neglecting the individual. 5.His confidence/courage Jordan Peterson is so confident that he is not afraid to say the truth he stands for what he believes in ,he defends his ideas regardless the discomfort it may cause and that's very courageous 6.His humility Not only does he give examples about his own shortcomings but something else that's very fascinating about him is that regardless everything he knows that the majority if not all of his listeners or even average people don't know he has the humility of saying something most of us are ashamed of saying which is I don't know.. 7.His good looks I think I might be wrong that Jordan Peterson is the kind of handsome man who probably doesn't have a clue he is or who probably is even surprised people mention it but I'm glad to say I'm not the only non-feminist woman who says that ,He is very handsome indeed! and his calmness just takes it to another level So I would say Jordan Peterson is a perfect & imperfect man , listening to him definitely teaches me alot , I am becoming smart overnight! So thank you!

Among the 12 rules for life - IF a cat comes up to on the street, pat it. I do that without have read this book. It's a wonderful feeling, actually. A friendly soul, small and vulterable, comes up and gives you affection, greets, implicitly trusts you etc. It's enough to make my heart melt. One such cat came into my garage. She was emaciated, with long matted gray fur, but with big and alert eyes. I was leaving the garage and she walked with me. I went out by the side door, closed it, and then she stopped. She turned around and slunk into a hole in the siding. Each day after that, I put out a bowl of chicken, and later proper cat food. My little "ghost" came out to greet me every morning outside the garage, and ate her food. Then one morning she came out with three tiny little kittens, and presented them to me. After that, I took mom and her babies into my family. There she and her kittens lived out their lives. We have one of those kittens left. He is now almost 16 years old. It all started with a lost and desperate soul trusting me with her life, and it lead to so much joy. Follow the rule, and pat a strange cat if it comes up to you. If you are able, adopt it.

Its one of the wonderful characteristics of a fool. They expose themselves to the light and thus self destruct and free us all from their mindless, unproductive contributions. Don't worry - Jordan easily handles himself in these situations because of one simple fact: Critical thinking.
I was frustrated early on by Jordan's penchant for interrupting others--saying this as a Peterson fan--but she definitely went from fairly reasonable interlocutor to sleazy social tactician over the course of the interview, until she was absolutely greasy with railroading maneuvers and sidesteps to find a cross upon which he might be crucified.
Peterson is brilliant at patiently explaining to the woke world what we all fundamentally know to be true. What is amazing is that that has become necessary.

Quite an amazing interview. Hats off to both. She hectored as is her job, but was then rebutted, educated, and forced to acknowledge a more evolved and developed intellect and person. Peterson was magnanimous, and patient, with an aggressive ideologue feminist.
Every time he actually starts dismantling her assertions she changes the subject. CLASSIC manipulative practice. She is desperate to remain in absolute control of the interchange. Her goal is not to ask him questions and hear him answer, it is to force him to say what she wants him to say
Most telling when Jordan starts drilling down into the difficult question of how to regulate sexual behaviour at work. You can almost see the interviewer realising she is not going to pin anything on him and may well infact end up in a complex dialogue and wop change of topic.

But these are the ones in which he particularly shines in his answers. I don't really want to watch someone agree with him for an hour, I want to watch him methodically dismantle someone's entire rationale from a psychological frame of reference. THAT'S the good stuff.
Just to be clear, I don't mind confrontation and hard questions, and I think I saw that with the maajid Nawaz interview. Granted I haven't seen all interviews with Peterson and others, and yes, it is a generalization that all his interviews with women have been with shrews. Also I do think he has brilliant answers. But I wrote my comment more out of frustration that so far all the female hosts that I've seen interview him so far seem to come into the interview not to engage him, but rather it seems like they want to gotcha him or destroy him instead. Plenty of male hosts (cough, vice) have tried to do that too, but from my limited view, I've at least seen more male hosts try to give him a chance, less see from female hosts. It probably doesn't need saying, this is not a reflection on women being "b*tches" -- rather I think it's more of a reflection of the women (and men too, to be fair) who are in media and what kind of ideology they subscribe to.
Phil Shen To be fair I thought this was a good interview, she gave him space to explain his views. She asked intelligent Qs as very far as the postmodern left can be expected to pose. I’ve seen almost as many Male interviewers being insufferably thick towards JP as female ones. I don’t think this woman qualified herself to be categorised in the same universe as e.g. Cathy Newman.
Wow she got absolutely schooled. Very intelligent interviewer but her loaded questions, disparaging remarks, and scoffs got her a profoundly well balanced and thoughtful response that she seemed to be bemused by. I wish her all the best and hope she can release some of her ideological resentment.
@@regalsylvester no, I don’t think so. I think she just blabbed the first thing that came to her mind out of desperation. Peterson was poking holes in her way of thinking so naturally she felt threatened and responded, as shameful as it was.
He's a psychologist not a psychiatrist. Those are two different professions. One requires more science while the other one which Peterson is requires none at all!
@Patrick J Mims That's just an expression of witnessing unbelievable intelligence, at least to his mind, if not for everyone. Although, I think too, that he's got very good categorizing ability on whatever questions they ask him, and he deals with them, subdivided which I think is a sign of good understanding in that subject and general intelligence to categorize them at all. To what extent, he does this, since better than average people can also do it, he does it almost all the time; which is a very well-practiced, methodical and obtains the end goal, without too much obstacles in the path of infusion of two or more separated ideas, under the same question. Also, his verbal intelligence is higher than you see in many people in our daily lives, which is not something to scoff at, and also indicates at his intelligence under one class.
@@casualamer8543 Yes, but the Left has a way of twisting what is inherently obvious to people. I think we've been "gaslighted" by them for far too long.
I absolutely adore Jordan Peterson and I'm a woman. ❤👏👏👏👏 I'd LOVE to have a conversation with him, especially about how amazing it is being a housewife and mother. How it's empowering for me and how much my family depends on me and what a benefit my role has been on my child and husband. I think we have a pretty beautiful and healthy life, tbh. I'm very happy about what I've accomplished even though our society doesn't see it as such. We have treasures money can't buy.
sigh , here we go again "i'm a woman" as if your vagina gave you personal insight on something....i'm so sick of hearing "and i am a woman!" as if being one is so special its amazing you actually listened at all? huh?!
Every interview he's had where resentful women have tried to ambush him have gone like this one. It's also absurd for interviewers like this one to say "you seem angry" after all these continual attempts to derail his career, smear him. Like all the leftist, feminist takes when Brett Kavanaugh was accused of rape, how his anger showed that he was guilty and evil. No. He was angry because the attacks and narratives slanted against him were absurd and callous.
Guessing the rhetoric question and all the rhetoric answers are all coming from guys who consider themselves to be" average" men. Average misogynists, yeah :-)

Listen to him!! He is nuanced, which IS IMPORTANT. I have never heard this man before, but I will go and listen to more of him so I can finally HEAR his point of view without her trying to shove her point of view on him.
i dont get why people think this. she is trying to conduct an interesting interview and how is she doing that? by challenging his ideas. i think you guys overestimate the adversarial position you believe the interviewer is trying to take. if she asked all fluff questions, how interesting would the interview be? the top rated comments for jordan peterson always seem to criticize female interviewers for their "lack of intellect" or "bad motives" which brings credence to the people who criticize jordan peterson. i dont think i have an issue with peterson, but i do have an issue with the conclusions a lot of his fans come to as a result of listening to peterson.

I have seldomly watched an interview that made me this angry. Mostly because she was not really engaging in a conversation but was just only aiming at trying to get dr. Peterson to say something reprehensible. The amount of patience and calmness that this man has is an example to everyone. I hope Anne can find the ability to listen a bit more to her guests instead of trying to score points all the time.
Like when she physically pushes herself back into her seat after she thinks she has him, just to be reeled back in by his logic in cutting the net from around him.
i think it was one of the best interviewer for peterson. she did her job as an interviewer, pushing him to to elaborate. Much more subtle and sophisticated interview than most. She has her agenda, of course, who is perfectly objective? No one.
@@benledolmen this is the important thing. an interviewer is there to get to the root of what the interviewee is talking about, she did this greatly. this isnt in the same line as the channel 4 interview in which it was all combative to the point that no one learened anything. the interviewer obviously dissagreed but she was willing to agree where she had to but also challange where petterson wasnt clear on his point to make sure the viewer understood where he was coming from. great interview all in all.
What you need to realise about passive aggressive people is that your anger/frustration gives them pleasure, don't let them see that they're getting to you and that will screw with them more than anything
I love how she got outraged when he mentioned females tend to use verbal motions to attack someone's character rather than physical violence. And then as a woman tries to paint him as a provokator, a greedy money grabber, and some type of Male dictator. Oh the irony.
Agree that her outrage at his observation was stupid, but there's no irony in her then trying to discredit him in various ways "as a woman". She's just a weak interviewer with a bias trying to catch him out all the time instead of exploring the points more deeply. Peterson's point was that women on average in the wider world tend to attack reputation because physical aggression is not an option to them. In the context of an interview with clear boundaries on physical aggression the playing field is obviously levelled and male interviewers pull the same kind of shit all the time. Surely you've seen it over and over?
greyztone It is ironic that she laughs at the idea that women do something more often while she’s doing it... I don’t see your point in saying this is not ironic...
I love civil discourse but I wonder what she thought of the interview after viewing herself. It’s not so much about him winning or losing, but he had an articulate, well-thought response to every topic she raised. Appreciate the calmness he exhibited throughout. It kept the focus on the discussion/topics.
I think it’s more a matter of shitty format and time constraints. She has all these topics the producers probably want her to hit. Just look at those papers. But yeah, it was by far the most annoying aspect of the interview.
Whenever she realized she couldn't get anything out of him in one subject, she'd instantly jump to the next. And then people will defend her saying "well, she had time constraints". How convenient
She is senior editor for the Economist for gods sake, do they not monetize? And since they do, obviously, does their money only go to virginally pure neutral ventures?
And this is why I uncategorically use adblocks. I don't want to give anyone any revenue that I don't feel they deserved. I've benefited from Peterson's work and I've consequently bought 2 copies of his book.
I am a woman, and I respect Jordan Petersons' educated opinions and knowledge. I am having difficulties with the attitudes of women these days to the point I don't like them. Female interviewers of Dr. Petersen appear to just want to win and prove him wrong. Silly women , I understand what he says and feel his way of looking at life, men and women, to be something that is missing in our modern belief systems. The women usually end up embarrassing themselves.
JBP looks sad and tired of casting pearls before swine. I think he learned something from that Munk debate and it wasn't good. Like maybe this isnt as productive as he thought. These people are possessed by their ideas. He could probably smell it off this woman just by some neurotic mannerism early on. Nonetheless he carries on. Putting his best foot forward every time. Truly living what he preaches. Absolutely admirable.
SkepticalMillenial she's the stereotypical middle class middle aged lisping female I've met so many times in my life. They're all the same. It's uncanny.
He knows he's not going to change her mind (or Dyson's mind during the Munk debate). He does it for us the viewers. If it wasn't going on youtube theres no way JP would suffer these people like he does
As I often do, I found the interview irritating because the width and depth of Jordan's responses were as always not being allowed to fully form therefore no question was fully answered before the next was presented. I am convinced he is very often frustrated by the interviewer's inability or lack of desire to grasp the logical discourse he presents.
Peterson suffers foolishness but he expects it and sees it coming. Part of the yoke he has taken on. No dedicated scholar gets to land in a perfectly logically coherent world. Chomsky answers personal emails to ordinary people every day, this is the burden of those who care.
She did very well. It is the job of an interviewer to be the medium between the interviewee and the audience. The interviewer needs to package what is said. To create some order. Jordan is therfor the most difficult man to interview because what he says is complex and there is a lot of it. In this case, it is not inability or unwillingness, or, like in cathy newman's case: maliciousness.
Very well observed.Time is always limited in these interviews but McElvoy listens....not always the case in the prepared interview.....and is very bright which makes the back and fore good at bringing out in Peterson difficult concepts.
If he is so smart why did he back out of the Richard Wolff debate on Marxism, even going so far as to pretend not to know who Professor Wolff was? "There was this professor... Richard Wolff, I believe? He responded to my comments on Marxism..." LMFAO
Absolutely anhinatlsted. She tried to disms tled his arguments with passive aggressive jibes and switching topics. Solid performance for JP and why we love him. The antidote we all need. The journalist is a mouth piece drone for the mainstream.
"im not interviewing the clinical literature, im interviewing you" thats perhaps the best example of the lack of intelligence and moral standards in the interviewer's questions. If you dont want an informed accurate and educated answer, then why are you asking the question?
I wish these women would stop saying that only men follow Dr. Peterson's work.I am a forty-seven year old grandmother. I do not agree with him 100% of the time but I definitely support his work. When Jordan talks her eyes just glaze over thinking about what she’s going to say next. Why don’t these people try LISTENING rather than trying to score points. It makes them look really bad and they don’t even realise.
That's exactly what I noticed too! It's like cathy newman all over again. She's trying on purpose to take every statement in the wrong way and it's so frustrating after the first 5 minutes. She doesn’t even let the man complete most of his responses. She wasn’t there to find out his views at all, it was more so to “catch” him in something that would connect her negative views of him as truth. She’s sickening
Agreed, she was fishing and at the end, all she got was a big load of nothing. People like her is not interested in gaining knowledge. She's just trying to be the white knight of effenism and failing miserably. She however outed herself as an effenist ideologues and nothing more.
For all those who think anne was trying to trap him, she was not. She was very very professional and she asked him all the questions the radical left want to trap him with BUT she gave him ample opportunity to defend himself. This never happens in his debates. You get guys like Michael Erik Dyson having to interrupt and straw man him the entire time. She did very well in interviewing him and she asked the questions that we want to hear him defend. He aced the test and she made it difficult. But she respected his answers. Well done and I would love to see her interview more people rather than say Don Lemon or anyone from the BBC.

I believe that's called the Socratic method.
It's important to not target a person. Rather the ideas their putting forth. Therefore it's positively critical to restate the idea to insure that one is truly arguing the idea. JBP: "Clean your room"

Just be ready to not be able to have discourse with someone that already made their mind up on unfounded opinion.
The trick is to realize and accept a fundamental truth no matter how revolting or unfair:
Good people have to play by different rules than bad people.

He's probably drawing a horrible accurate portrait of this woman. This woman is disturbingly disgusting

Haha, I just noticed that. JBP is an amazing man beyond any description that I have the capacity to write. Thank you so much for your dedication and honesty that is so evident to anyone watching.
The more complex one's mind, the more distractions it seeks while not being fully engaged. Fidgeting, drawing, playing with things, tapping fingers and a general restlessness are good signs of that.
Doodling
I met JP last month in Cincinnati (after an entire year of waiting). Peterson."
He smiled, looked into my eyes, and asked what my name was. I told him and he shook my hand and said "It's a pleasure to meet you, Peter."
His speech that night was incredible, insightful, and downright beautiful. The man radiates warmth, kindness, and compassion. I'm so glad I got a chance to meet the person I admire most in this world. He genuinely makes me want to become my best self.

Peterson!
pretty straight forward
I agree and am so happy to read your comment. Enjoy that family- they grow up and leave so quickly, then there's time to pursue other interests.
Well as a society we are pushed in to believing that we need a certain amount of "stuff" to maintain a "normal" life or to give the appearance of success. The idea of success now is almost entirely material in the western world, it's no accident that people's individual happiness has gone down due to this desire to look materially wealthy.
I hope you extend that care and peace to your husband as well.
You discovered what being rich really means! It ain't cash!
People have to stop trying to win an argument with Jordan and instead try to have a conversation with him. Interesting person with a lot to teach.
So true. These journalists can't hope to match wits with people like JP. What makes them think they have a prayer?
if I may, I'll generalize your sentence:
SJWs have to stop trying to win an argument with people who actually know what they are talking about, and instead need to try and learn something from those people.
Yes!
The problem is that these journalists begin with conclusions about the people they interview and try to get interviewees to confirm the journalists conclusions.
The journalists already have their narrative, therefore have no need to really listen, or learn. They already believe that they "know" the facts based on their opinions.

@@thebigstick5540 Body language, bro.
7 reasons why I already admire Jordan Peterson and I just discovered him last week
Jordan Peterson makes being smart attractive!!
1.A good teacher
Jordan Peterson is very intelligent ,he has the ability to take complex subjects and turn them into digestible, easily understandable information not to mention that he uses regular stories, the Bible and movies and different religions as examples
2.A great orator (Articulate/Assertive)
He is very articulate , a great story teller in deed! one can listen to him for hours , I don't remember the last time I was excited to listen/watch an interview.
He is very assertive, he knows how to get his point across and he alligns his words so well that if you would cut off the interviewer part his answers perfectly follow up ... just as if it was a speech .
3.Great composure/patience
Anyone in their right mind would attack the interviewer not Jordan Peterson, I think he has a perfect mind that's how he can stand her, keep calm, even think about his answers ,and to some questions that I thought were pure mischaracterisation and that he shoud decline to answer ... nonetheless he answered ... so much respect to you Mr Peterson !
4.His compassion
his compassion and ability to show empathy and emotions when necessary.
He cares about the individual ,his/her progress and that's how you know if he met you he would value you, #you matter # you are important# you don't have to come as a group to get my attention# I can see you
True, we may have similar experiences but our copying mechanisms are different ,our challenges are different
So it's important to be seen as an individual, to be encouraged to improve ,that's how one can feel valuable and since we are social beings we tend to share, we spread both negativity and positivity so that's how you start a cycle of goodness, hardwork, selfrespect....and more
Basically teach me how to catch a fish and I'll do it myself next time.
5.His confidence/courage
Jordan Peterson is so confident that he is not afraid to say the truth he stands for what he believes in ,he defends his ideas regardless the discomfort it may cause and that's very courageous
6.His humility
Not only does he give examples about his own shortcomings but something else that's very fascinating about him is that regardless everything he knows that the majority if not all of his listeners or even average people don't know he has the humility of saying something most of us are ashamed of saying which is I don't know..
7.His good looks
I think I might be wrong that Jordan Peterson is the kind of handsome man who probably doesn't have a clue he is or who probably is even surprised people mention it but I'm glad to say I'm not the only non-feminist woman who says that ,He is very handsome indeed! and his calmness just takes it to another level
So I would say Jordan Peterson is a perfect & imperfect man , listening to him definitely teaches me alot , I am becoming smart overnight!
So thank you!
my. words.

@@auturgicflosculator2183 I don’t think you’re wrong at all. I also agree that he got visibly frustrated with her remarks. My point is that I think that was absolutely her intention,to get a rise out of him for views, and my praise of him is that though he was visibly becoming more irritated he never went after her like most of us might have.
@@auturgicflosculator2183 Honestly, the whole debate itself is malicious enough. Look at the amount of material she brought and how she ground every word he wrote in his book. This woman prepared for war and if Peterson has slipped even just one, it'd be a public execution.

Phil Shen there is a good one, search Jordan Peterson on ‘12 rules for life’
The channel is Marjin Poels
Phil Shen He did one with camele paglia (wrong spelling but is on jbp's channel) it was good.

It’s not so much about him winning or losing, but he had an articulate, well-thought response to every topic she raised. Appreciate the calmness he exhibited throughout. It kept the focus on the discussion/topics.
I wish this interviewer would have let certain subjects unfold. She seems to jump around every time he starts making a good point.
Neil Kirkpatrick This is what happens when you have an ideologue conducting an interview.
I think it’s more a matter of shitty format and time constraints. She has all these topics the producers probably want her to hit. Just look at those papers.
But yeah, it was by far the most annoying aspect of the interview.
Yep.
Whenever she realized she couldn't get anything out of him in one subject, she'd instantly jump to the next. And then people will defend her saying "well, she had time constraints". How convenient
It was hilarious. She changed the subject every time Peterson won an argument.

Female interviewers of Dr. Petersen appear to just want to win and prove him wrong. Silly women , I understand what he says and feel his way of looking at life, men and women, to be something that is missing in our modern belief systems. The women usually end up embarrassing themselves.

As I often do, I found the interview irritating because the width and depth of Jordan's responses were as always not being allowed to fully form therefore no question was fully answered before the next was presented. I am convinced he is very often frustrated by the interviewer's inability or lack of desire to grasp the logical discourse he presents.
