There's something incredibly stylish about the way you handle this car. The proper hand placement on the wheel, the smoothness of the drive-it's like a masterclass in elegance behind the wheel. This is how a car should be driven.

The lighting, the landscape, the car, the sounds... it felt like watching one of those old movies you can watch lots of times.
I own a small car with a diesel. It's more modern, faster and quieter, but still the 190D is in another league.

I had a 5-speed manual 2.0 190D for five years. Yes, it was unbreakable, but the lack of power was exhausting in the end. I used to dream I was driving it while my feet were helping it along like a Fred Flintstone car. That's how traumatised I got !! Had some great adventures in it though, it was incredible with winter tyres in snow. I have a couple of petrol 190s now. No more nightmares.

Yes it is very slow. I lose my patience all the time and it's my daily driver. Still I pass almost every single car in front of me. People just drive too slowly.

Thank you for this unique video. Really blends in all the feeling, sound and visuals of owning a 190D. I also owned a 1988 190D, with the same engine. Drove it for 4 years and afterwards I got something faster. Unfortunately sold it after 6 years of ownership, it started to rust out on every panel and at that particular time I wasn't able to restore it. I miss my 190D for sure. Nice memories!

    Hi everyone from Italy!
This is music for ears and joy for eyes, from an excellent car; meaning a still real Mercedes, with a genuine engine, driven with a "relaxed life philosophy" on a spectacular road!
Furthermore, it's comforting to know that nowadays there is someone who goes against the current trends, taking care of his own vintage car, regardless its money value, shape or power... Love is love.
This is a way to enjoy the essence of life.

the only thing I envy is the German license plate 😂 lol!!! I will never sell my 1990 190E 2.0. I have driven many cars, smaller and even larger than this one, but the 190 gives unsurpassed driving pleasure and the nobility of the Star on the bonnet is priceless. Exceptional car and timeless Italian design: it makes you stand out from the crowd of modern cars, one identical to the other.

Such a beautiful car to own. I have had mine for 23 years now and I had planned never to sell it but I was getting a bit tired of it. This video inspires me to keep it a few more years. The diesels are the most gently driven of them so I think they age lot better.
