So glad you spoke on this because I have a emotional support Stuffie because my 10th grade high school teacher recommended it to me when I was going through a tough time with my mental health. I still carry mine my sophomore year in college and don’t care what anyone have to say. Big respect to you for caring about your students emotional and mental health and being understanding that some days aren’t our days… and that skunk you have there looks to be a webkinz skunk. This came about by accident one day when a student was crying about a relationship issue and I just grabbed the skunk sitting behind my desk and handed it to her. The skunk was originally symbolic of one of my teaching methods related to the Skunkworks concept from business. And yes, it is a Webkinz (I just looked that up to see).
I have a emotional support stuffed animal dog plush, I'm aloud to bring it to school. Sadly I can't bring it in class even after my parents told my teacher it's for reasons like anxiety and stress release but I can have it at lunch and recess!
