I'm trying to prepare for her coming to school with me. If you could that would be great. But if it's to much of a problem it's fine.

We have a doggo at my school (well there's 2 but like Lacrosse for sure can be pet) He's a good boi and makes me feel less sad.

at a pep rally, my principal came over the speakers of the football field and told everyone that there would be a service dog at the football game that night and to not distract them or pet them. it really made me happy because service animals aren’t treated the best all the time, but my school helps this dog and their handler a lot. it’s very heartwarming to see.

@@cookiefan1809 they really don’t. that’s just one example of what they do. she’s the only person with a service dog in the 2000 student body, and they make sure they educate people on proper service dog etiquette. they get people in trouble if they mess with the dog or the handler.

I have had a teacher try to tell me once, when I tried to leave class because I was having a panic attack, that there was no such thing as a mental illness and I needed to stop. (I have PTSD)
I feel you are leaving out a lot of information intentionally here....everyone KNOWS about mental disorders. So what really happened??
@@Beau-wp9yi Not everyone knows about mental disorders and in this case the teacher tried to tell me I couldn't have PTSD since I was not in the military. I am sorry that what I typed was confusing.
@Kaylie Babocsi The teacher was called by my therapist and was told that they should let me leave the room when need be. The teacher was just given a warning after that. Thank you for your concern
@@Beau-wp9yi just because you never had to deal with ignorant people doesn't mean they're not there. My old Maths teacher genuinely believes that mental illnesses are not a thing, that they were all made up in the past few years. My dad has the same believe. That Maths teacher refused to let a girl leave class during a panic attack and the girl ended up fainting and there were no results for the teacher. She later told that girl, diagnosed with anxiety, that she must have asthma, because panic attacks aren't a real thing and neither is anxiety. You being lucky enough to not experience this kind of ignorance doesn't mean it's not there, and you're pretty ignorant yourself if you believe that.

Imagine if you went to a school and someone didn't care about the word "Service" and only cared about the word "Animal". They kept on petting the dog or trying to distract it from its owner. What would you do? I would push them away from the animal and tell that that's *NOT* okay and tell them to leave, as well as telling the principle.
I don’t have a service animal but I have a pup and whenever I’m trying to do a quick training exercise or whatever around friends and they distract my pup i get irritated. I can’t imagine what it would be like with a service animal.

I wish that I was able to get a service dog. My panic attacks got so bad that they were coming multiple times a day :/ I also have had had depression and anxiety since third grade so that’s fun. I just love having bad mental health it’s my favorite! My depression also gets so bad that I can’t feel emotions. I also had an eating disorder last year and I wanted to die last year (we good though now as I told the school counselor and we talked and my family and I talked about it and I am not suicidal anymore)
It good that everyone doesn’t try and mess with her and get her out of focus 😌🙏

Its best to just pretend they arent there but maybe talk to the owner to see if its okay to acknowledge the dog ig

I really needed this, I become a high schooler in 2021 and I’m getting a service dog soon and I really needed to know what it’s like. This helps me a lot to know what’s it like to be in highschool with your service dog :).
Good luck friend! I'm starting high school this September, and I'm starting to realize that a service dog might be a good investment. We will see what happens, but once I get away from my horrible parents, I'll most likely get one. It will truly change my life. I hope a service doggo changes yours for the better!

It was very easy to train my Siberian husky and once they’re past the puppy age they turn lazy. My 8 year old Siberian husky is turning back to a puppy. I don’t know if all huskies become lazy when they get older or it’s because my dog has a leg problem and is finally healing mentally after 1+ year.

Cloud is an amazing service dog. She's been trained very well from what I see. I know how you feel to a small extent with how terrible mental illnesses are. I hope things get better for you in the future. Until then, you have one of the best service dogs watching over you, making sure nothing happens. It's really nice to see the perspective of someone in high school with a service dog. Most videos I've seen, the owners have been adults. I'd love to see more videos like this.
To all the people who constantly comment "Why does she have a service dog?" and if you were just about to comment that, I suffer from a handful of disabilities that requires me to have an aide from a service dog. Anyway thank you so much for all the views on this post its amazing! I really enjoy all the support

I can kind of relate to you cause I have severe anxiety where it’s considered a mental illness now so I can kind of feel what your going threw

My science teacher trains service dogs. She is a German Shepherd and she bring her to school about 3 days every week. Her name is Farrah. Every once in a while we train her too. Bring her out and do some trainings with her. Whenever we do science she cuddles with my classmates but for some reason she only licks my face! She first came to my school when she was a month old. My teacher also trained a black Labrador, she now is in Illinois helping a blind person in need! I believe this year was the last year for Farrah. She was absolutely a great dog. ❤️

Aw, your service dog is so sweet and loyal! Cloud is just adorable, I love huskies. I do not have/need a service dog, but I do find these types of videos very interesting. I also like the music in the video. It’s very upbeat and I always find myself bobbing my head to the beat. Service dogs can be very beneficial and can even save someone’s life. Cloud really cares about you and I can tell you two have a strong friendship.

They have some sort of ability they are born with that makes them the ideal training pup for whatever they need to do. But I was still commenting that your husky can be almost just as amazing or more amazing than this husky with training.
