great riding!! Can you please give some information about your hight, your inseam and the bike size cause I´m really undecided about which size I should get...
Thanks mate, you're too kind😁....i"m 6ft/183cm and 34 inseam,i went for the S4 which has 480mm reach which suits me nicely.I have mulleted it since this video and it feels more agile on the tight twisty stuff and equally good on the jumpy stuuf too.it has a 170mm dropper which does stick out a bit due to the frame design even when fully inserted, ideally i would like a 210mm slammed but this isn't possible....it's not a deal breaker for me but could be for other riders👍
Hey mate, got one of these coming in a week. Did you set up this ride in the smart control part of the app before hand? Or do you typically just ride in eco for normally every ride. Just wondering what range and elevation you would get without the extender on purely eco mode with decent fitness, cheers!
I changed Eco to 35% assistance in the app,and trail to 75%.i try to ride in eco for most of the day and maybe treat myself to a bit of trail for the final climb. If you have decent fitness and don't mind keeping your cadence up at 70-80 rpm you won't be disappointed,6k feet is easily acheivable without the extender. Enjoy your new bike!😁🤟
Cheers fella!!.....it feels so much better than full fat, the one i rode was a nukeproof megawatt which was an awesome bike, but felt a bit blunt sometimes...sure,it was good at ploughing through rooty & rocky sections but it didn't feel very rewarding,it was more comical how it squashed things!!.....The kenevo feels playful and chuckable in comparison,i think it's defo the right choice for me😀👍
I finally got to ride one today but in comp spec and really didn't like it at first compared to my old full fat 2019 Kenevo (Gen 1) however as the day went on and I made sure I stayed over a cadence of 60 it grew on me. Eco mode on the default Specialized settings felt very draggy to me though even on the flat so i stuck to trail most the time 🤔
Aww man, not good if you've been disappointed!...i found that mine feels best with the head angle in the slack position and running mullet setup.i also changed the output in eco mode to 40% in the app, this works well at high cadence,if you dip into trail mode for too long there's no going back tho,it does feel draggy after trail!😅 I have climbed to the top of the golfie with motor off(on fresh legs obviously!) and it wasn't really any harder than a normal bike👍
@@s1msn haha why would you do that climb up The Golfie with it switched off completely 😂 What is your average cadence when riding it then do you think as anything below 70 really seemed to be hard work for it and battery usage?
@@nomadic_dad haha,it was just to prove to myself that i could do it for when the motor breaks!😂.....my avg cadence is 70 which is great for battery efficiency. If i'm riding with analog guys it's more like 45 which does use a little more battery but leaves you feeling like you've hardly worked at all. One things for sure tho,i have never flattened the battery no matter what i've done👍
@@s1msn you have the extender as well though yeah? I'm going to leave you in peace now as otherwise I might talk myself into one 😁 Cheers again for the help and have subscribed 👍
@@nomadic_dad i don't always use the extender,it's only for riding with the full fat boys or extra long days. Sounds like you're half way there tho, just go for it,your only young once!! 😃 cheers!
Did you replace the Code RS brakes with TRP DHR-EVO’s? If so, how do you like them? Just picked up a Kenevo SL expert and was considering swapping to the same brake set. Cheers!
The TRP’s were already on it so I can’t really compare.I do have shimano saints on my other bike and thought they were powerful till I tried the these, modulation is decent as is the feel too. Currently running the bike mulleted which feels like the ideal setup😁👍
@@s1msn was considering converting mine to mullet as well given I have a mixed wheelset ready to go. Great to hear it works well! Any issues with pedal strikes?
@@MTBHaste It would be rude not to try it😜it makes the rear so much more lively.... I have the chainstays set in the high postion but have had a few pedal strikes! a set of 160mm cranks shouild help things a bit but Praxis are the only crank suppliers for the SL M30 fitment motor and all they have available currently are carbon.
The Kenevo feels pretty much like a normal bike compared to the megawatt. The megawatt was a great bike but the weight was noticable for sure,it had it's advantages when it came to ploughing through rough stuff and leaning into corners, and it had a lot more torque when climbing. If you have decent fitness and aren't riding with guys on full fat eebs too often it won't disappoint, plus the range with the battery extender connected would easily double what the NP can manage! Also, the plushness & traction on the rear suspension is amazing, steep rocky & rooty climbs are a breeze in & out of the saddle!....Hope this helps you decide😁🤟
Yeah range extender was fitted and rode in Eco mode the whole time. 56% battery was showing when i finished, which is 56% of 150% starting figure with the extender.....i put 32% in the description as it relates to 1/3rd to avoid confusion👍
Mine arrives on friday! Cant wait.
Mad handling skills bro🔥🔥🔥
