I love this bike! I got the 2022 expert version and added a fox 38 180 mm fork, a DHX2 in back and TRP brakes and this thing is hands down the best ride I’ve ever had bar none. That battery lasts forever and that motor has more than enough if you’re in good shape. If you don’t get it don’t buy it as you won’t enjoy yourself.
Why not just buy the comp if you’re going to upgrade everything. I’m actually curious if there’s a difference because I’m trying to decided between comp and expert. I’m going to upgrade the same
Great video mate. I have a lot of love for the SL family of bikes. Can’t wait to get my mitts on a Kenevo for a thrash when the supply here in NZ allows.
That hole under the rock guard might have something to do with cooling .......why would anyone spend that kind of money on an under powered ebike ? ....can’t really get me head round the Sl range ....lovely looking ....weight is ok ....but the price and the power ...I will def be sticking with me full fat Kenevo 👍........nice camera work mate...bloody good vid 👍🇬🇧
Yeah, but Specialized marketing BS is strong as usual… you can ride 160km with one charge. 😂 I think it’s good if you are riding with a group of regular bikes but not fun if you mix with full power ebikes.
Thanks for the props mate 🤘🏻 appreciate ya. The hole under the rock guard is for battery installation, what interested me was why the rock guard has tool-less removal? I was the same as you! Couldn't imagine a 35nm Ebike could ever replace my Kenevo Expert - gotta tell you dude - I was wrong, I'm genuinely blown away by the performance of the Kenevo SL. It's not quite as fast up steep climbs, it has more motor noise, and its less travel - but - that's where the negatives end and the positives take over. I've never enjoyed riding a bike as much as I've enjoyed riding the Kenevo SL - I would recommend getting your hands on one for a ride if possible before you totally make your mind up 👊🏻
@@tamasvarga67 The crew I ride with are on Kenevo's or Levo's and the Kenevo SL has zero problems keeping up on the flats and the climbs! The climbs are pretty technical where I live and most of the crew climb in Trail mode on the full power bikes, I'm in turbo on the SL and I'm spinning quicker but I keep up without any dramas 🤘🏻 Thanks for watching mate 👊🏻
@@AdamNicholsonMTNDVL Good for you. Not my experience with the Levo SL on ‘proper’ ebike rides especially when the riders’ strength is somewhat even. But I can imagine a light powerful rider with the SL matching slower big dudes on full power ebikes.
Exactly. I was going to convert to this, from my app adjusted 2019 Kenevo, that wheelies out of corners, in woods riding. But this thing is a dog, compared to mine. And my motor is one of the rare trouble free, 1 outta 4. And, I like my 27.5, 3 inch Purgatory tires better, as well. Set to 20-22 pounds pressure.
160 km with the range extender included? Also, did you ride High or Low position, and did you experience frequent pedal strikes? Any experience with the Levo gen 3 yet? Anyways the bike is a looker !!! Good job!
Hi Ιωαννης Παρασκευοπουλος I ride in the low BB setting, I've had 2 pedal strikes over the 4 weeks of riding but in an area with more rocks i could see me striking more often. The range extender comes with the Sworks Kenevo SL 👍 Thanks for watching mate
@@Mcfc2Rich the expert and SWORKS come out of the box in the high bb position in my experience, it only seems the be the comp that comes factory set in low bb. Raise that bb! It’s a much better ride as far a clearance goes 🤟🏻
Have test-ridden this bike. In rolling terrain. The SL as configured on the Kenevo does not have the torque to maintain momentum. If yer gonna use it to make.a long climb back up to a jump run, it's fine, punching along at what my full power Kenevo does in Eco mode.
Hi, this is cool. I'm riding Kenevo Expert, and I'm going to be interested in Kenevo SL. Do you know how long distance can Kenevo SL run? Including Extra battery
Correct, Specialized have incorporated a Duration or Distance feature into the Mission Control app that allows you to dial in how far you'd like to ride on 1 charge. The bike then manages the power delivery to ensure you reach your destination. Thanks for watching
@@AdamNicholsonMTNDVL 160km range assuming you live in some phantasy mtb world..... 160km is total bullsh😂t!!! .......if you turn the motor off you could do 1600km 😂😂😂😂
Pretty cool but... this is a bike just for a few who can afford it... There is no way to visit my local store and say "oh yeah, I have 15000 usd left in my pocket, give me a kenevo SL"... And the bike is not so light... this is because is full carbon (frame and wheel set)... I know is the future, but not yet... I think everybody is talking wonderful about the bike because is like drive a Porsche or a Ferrari, but not for everyone or every mountain biker.

That’s a good feature but if in turbo and ride your average trails how long will it last ?
