    Beautiful!! Between parts 1 and 2, you skipped over how you did the whites of the eyes and waterline. Can you explain how you did that? That’s the part I was really anxious to see.

    • @RixCanDoit
      @RixCanDoit  5 лет назад +4

      As you know, the whites of the eyes aren't really white. So I simply used a light graphite pencil and paper blender.

    Hi Rix! The materials I asked u for are ,what paper do u use? What grades of Charcoal Pencil d u use? What grades of graphite Pencils do u use? Any info would be appreciated! Keep the video’s coming! Awesome work!👍

    • @RixCanDoit

      I use Bristol smooth paper usually. Occasionally, Arche's Hotpress watercolor paper (smooth side). All grades of charcoal pencils, 4h to 12b in graphite pencils. I'm not fixated on just certain grades. I pick up what I think I need, test, and use if works.

      Use one that provides a decent photo printout with all the tonal levels. Lots of inexpensive inkjets out there.

    Nice video. I love watching your long videos they seem to be the most helpful for teaching us how to do certain stuff. What kind of pencil do you use to shade the bottom inner eyelid? I have problems with shading that area in my pictures

    • @RixCanDoit
      @RixCanDoit  6 лет назад

      I would use a very light graphite pencil or in this case just use a paper blending stub that has only a little charcoal or graphite left on it.

    Do you know because you use graphite and charcoal, I’ve recently done a leopard in graphite and charcoal unintentionally, I accidentally started off using graphite and now there’s a shiny part on my drawing, does yours do that in lighting and are you bothered ? x

    • @RixCanDoit
      @RixCanDoit  4 года назад +1

      No, if you apply the graphite with a light hand and only darken by adding layers and moving up the shade value. You can avoid shine by not pressing too hard. And if you still end up with shine you can spray with workable fixativ when done or just place drawing under glass (framed).

    • @myaxox4737
