    Cranberry: How Does it Grow? • CRANBERRY | How Does I...
    I return to Lee Brothers Cranberry Farm in Chatsworth, New Jersey, to make amends. While the original “Cranberry | How Does it Grow?” episode holds a special place in my heart, we filmed it when I was just a few weeks pregnant with my son, and I wasn’t able to really dig deep into harvest. So this year, I'm back to report on the full, back-breaking experience!

    One thing I don’t see here is the spiders... to keep away the bugs they get a lot of spiders in there, and they climb to the highest point(you) when they are being pushed together and harvested. Was that an issue at all when you were doing this?

    The drone shots on this are amazing, the colors in the trees are incredible. When was this harvest, end of September? Also would be cool to see how they get the yellow perimeter band around the fruit after you've raked them all in. I guess it takes a long time, maybe show it with time-lapse visuals?

    • @TrueFoodTV
      @TrueFoodTV  5 лет назад

      We filmed this just a couple weeks ago actually! The yellow band is being pulled by that little tractor you see behind us while we're raking. Ultimately it's hooked up to a mechanical spool that tightens it as we gather the berries from inside the bog. I should've mentioned that!
