Cranberry: How Does it Grow? • CRANBERRY | How Does I...
I return to Lee Brothers Cranberry Farm in Chatsworth, New Jersey, to make amends. While the original “Cranberry | How Does it Grow?” episode holds a special place in my heart, we filmed it when I was just a few weeks pregnant with my son, and I wasn’t able to really dig deep into harvest. So this year, I'm back to report on the full, back-breaking experience!

Thanks for acknowledging the fact that yes, agriculture is no easy task, so super respect to the farmers for their hard work.
Yes!! I hope that comes through in all the videos we do!
Your biggest regret
i know I'm kinda off topic but does anyone know a good website to stream new movies online?
@Kingston Mateo flixportal =)
@Myles Edwin Thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it!
Keep on showing the world what it takes for a farmer to produce the things we so conveniently grab off the shelves of a mart. Amazing video , as always !!! super liked it .
Yes, yes, yes!! That's exactly what motivates us to make these. Thank you for watching!
The big!
Because I can hear you
Keep making videos because they are so amazing and show us everything that happens behind the curtains of industry
You got it!
I’m not entirely sure why, but the original cranberry video is one of my favorites on RUclips. I’m sure I’ll love this one as well!
I really enjoy how you not just explain how does it grow but the work behind everything to get it to our groceries stores. What a luxury.
As agriculture student, i admired your cause. Also, could you please also include livestocks and their derivatives ? Thank you.
I can't wait to watch the other 'how does it grow' videos! Please keep uploading them. They were so amazing! Keep up the good work Nicole!
thank you so much! a new HDIG out soon!
I've been watching this channel's contents for years and I've never ever seen a single boring video. All of them are amazing and fun to watch. I wish I could see you one day face to face but unfortunately I'm far away from your country.
Thanks for this amazing channel
I cam here to see you covered in spiders.
Same 😂

I LOVE your videos! It’s amazing to know how our food grows. I always wondered if you could share ‘behind the scenes’ clips and how fun & hilarious the bloopers might be 😂. Thx for sharing this one, it definitely looks like hard work, I bet your muscles were sore the next day. 😁
Nicole I love your series and everything that you do on this channel. Keep up the amazing work!!! 💗💗💗 Also why doesn't this have more views? It was super informative.
This is very cool that you go back to show more. Thanks to you all!
thanks for watching!
Glad I discovered this channel. She's one of the best video hosts I've seen. Great job.
Wow! Now when I see bags of cranberries starting to roll up in grocery stores, I'll definitely remember this video & how hard the process of collecting them were! Thank you for this awesome and informative video!
Awesome! That's exactly what I hope you all do. I know I sure do - whenever I'm in the grocery store, I have so much more respect for the food (and its cost).
Nice plug for the channel, I love this. We need more, you are doing a great job.
thank you so much!
I love your videos so much. I can't wait to start my own farm. You have caused me to have a passion for agriculture. Thank you and keep the videos coming
Best of luck with your work!!

And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
Superb Video eye opener to the complex and industrial scale of cranberry farming , Thank you 🙏☺️
😃I feel like I'm one step ahead and smarter everytime i watch your Show.
Growing up learning from your Episodes and I'll never stop learning.
Keep doing the Incridible Work Nicole 😃
Thanks for sharing this. I love it!
Great video Nicole, proud of what you are doing with this channel!
thank you so very much, keith!
Hi Nicole,
Thanks for sharing this hard working berry .
One thing I don’t see here is the spiders... to keep away the bugs they get a lot of spiders in there, and they climb to the highest point(you) when they are being pushed together and harvested. Was that an issue at all when you were doing this?
By the time the cranberries get collected like you see here, the spiders have already retreated to higher ground.
Zombie.. zombie... zombie..eh... wait wrong cranberries.
I dont get it
@@shervn6940 The Cranberries - Zombie
You literally have to wait a year to make this video. Bless you!
To think that you put in all that labor and still remained so polite and cheerful. Great professionalism!
Aw, thank you. I feel very privileged to be there. The farmers and harvesters give me their time - the least I can do is be polite and cheerful! ;)
Wading...gathering...harvesting.....!!! So much fun!!! Love this Nicole!!! 😘👊👌👍😉😘😇
I love that they have cranberry wars. Thats so funny
I'm pretty sure they even toned it down because I was there! 🙌
Amazing video!! The Fall Season,What a beautiful time of year:-)
Really so good watching ur video..plz do keep making the videos.
Awesome as always 👌👌👌waiting for your episode you are making in india... You are inspirational coz you make people feel proud about their agriculture... Please keep doing this... Love from India☺️
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And YES I hope everyone feels proud of their agriculture -- it's the heart of civilization!
Amazing channel!!! Love the educational videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!
well, time to go rewatch the cranberry episode, even though i've seen it maybe 10 times :D
that's the spirit! ;)
Was eagerly waiting ... love ❤️ from 🇳🇵 Nepal 🇳🇵
So fun! Thanks for giving us an insider look at cranberry harvesting!
you bet! thanks for watching!
I wish I was the drone. Such a nice place! Thnx for doing this with a smile. Smile combined with talent is the best recipe
yet again a great information... :)
This would be my type of work....
But I'm stuck in front of the computer 9 hours a day. I miss manual labor.
Same, I wish for any job that I like and pays that would have me leaving my desk.
We are never happy!
I have a blue collar job and I long to sit in an air-conditioned building, on an upholstered chair, carpet under my feet with a refrigerator and water cooler steps away.
Yeah except for the thousands of spiders that would be crawling all over you
Wish these were longer like 15 to 20 minutes.
Seriously, right? Why have a whole crew go out there, spend so much money on gas, food, and other travel fees, just to release a 5 minute video. Totally wish they were longer too!
Another great video! Love em!
You have a very natural personality infront of the camera! Perfect for TV
I'm craving some cranberries right about now..Thanks for showing us that we shouldn't take for granted what is on our plate. It took a long journey to get there. Great job! :)

You're hired.
Ha!! Why thank you!
Lovely... thank you for the great information...
Love to se your episodes!!!
Such an underrated channel. But I do have a concern? If you may? I heard it from somewhere, I honestly don't remember, that cranberry farms harm the water in some way that affect something. I have such bad memory but that's all I can remember. Anyway, keep up the good work! This is one of my most favorite channels!❤
So you went back again like this is a new video? 😶😮😮👍🖤
Love this channel
Yes, completely new! Went back to the bog two weeks ago.
this is my favorite channel. keep them coming..... kudos

Thank you kindly!
I live in Delta BC and there are a few cranberry farms around, and it's always interesting to watch when they've flooded the fields and start collecting!
It's really amazing how much effort they put to cultivate..
We have a place in Ontario that harvest these. Love it
A very nice sequel! I love it. More How Does It Grow vids please?
Next video out will be a HDIG!
@@TrueFoodTV Oh my glob!!! I am super extra hyped!!!!
Looks like it’s the most fun way to harvest...!
Pt2 of the most hit episode.. what more i can wish for .. ❤️
You have absolutely fantastic educational shows. I really enjoy them.
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoy them.
always love your videos
Oh i respect these people for their hard work
Love your channel. So much positivity.
Thank you! I appreciate that.
You deserve more subscribers!
thank you!
Agreed. I think a collab with another RUclipsr is in order. The content on this channel is too good for such few subscribers!
oh wow i never tought u would revist this!
Much respect and appreciation to all cranberry farmers. iI's my number one Berry! Actually, the juice I make quite often. Today, shared it with a close friend. One gallon and a half of delicious cranberry apple cider juice.😋
I absolutely love cranberry juice and I here it’s good for your bladder especially. Here in the UK sugar is often added though so I have to look for the sugar fee version. Lovely video again Nicole that looked like hard work!
yes, same here, Nigel - most cran juice is sweetened. The berries are very tart - so I'm impressed that you enjoy the no-sugar-added stuff!
The drone shots on this are amazing, the colors in the trees are incredible. When was this harvest, end of September? Also would be cool to see how they get the yellow perimeter band around the fruit after you've raked them all in. I guess it takes a long time, maybe show it with time-lapse visuals?
We filmed this just a couple weeks ago actually! The yellow band is being pulled by that little tractor you see behind us while we're raking. Ultimately it's hooked up to a mechanical spool that tightens it as we gather the berries from inside the bog. I should've mentioned that!
Thank you for sharing
Love this channel! :)
I remember harvesting them in snow flurries 1977-79 , Warrens , Wisconsin.
That is so cool. I see you are having fun even if you regret it. LOL
Yes! I was very happy to go back and redeem myself. ;)
Again a nice video.....😊
Keep making videos because i like it 🤣.
Beautiful vid!
You sound as someone who adore books .I can tell by your amazing videos ....can you please share some books that you just fall in love with ???
😊
What a lovely question! If you look back to Dec 2017, I shared some recent cookbooks I loved. But I'd love to share my favorite non-food books in an upcoming livestream or Q/A video. Stay tuned!
Well done girl!
Great video! Keep up the great work!
thank you so much!
a very unique harvesting process
I LOVE CRANBERRIES!!!!!!! THIS IS SO COOOOOOL!!!
What the actual crap! HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE MILLIONS OF SUBSCRIBERS?! These videos are high quality! Amazing. Will try to get the word out.
Closing your eyes while speaking is very cute😍
Nice video :) If you ever visit Lee Bros. again have Herb show you how to operate the picker. Lol! One comment, cranberry vines. Happy Thanksgiving!
awesome video like usual!
and...u look radiant😄
thank you :)
I was waiting for the spider to climb on u
I love your adventure videos.
Wow this second part of the Cranberry is so delayed from the first. Great video! The only bad thing about cranberry is having too much sugar added.
I grow HUGE cranberrys right in my raised bed garden in Washington. I don't use water, just my fingers and pluck them off. They're perfect. I put bark chip around them so if they fall they don't bruise or get dirty.
I had no idea. Now I want to try cranberry sauce while having a little more respect for and understanding of the whole process.
Hoping the juice I am drinking now was from the crop you helped harvest! I love this channel.
Very fun. One thing you never mentioned (or didnt know) is the cranberry fields have hundreds of spiders (mainly wolf spiders) that will attempt to climb up you to avoid the water, as your the only thing out of water, and tall enough to do so.
Some of the farms in South Jersey now do what is called dry harvest. It would be interesting to see what the difference is
I love your videos ❤️ ❤️
Thanks, Nicole.
you bet, brian! thanks for watching
Love it 😍
Things we think easy and simple are always the hardest :D
So true!
This is super cool and thank you for showing the world the hardwork of the farmers. But I'm really confused don't the plants get damaged when they walk on them to harvest the berries??
