RECIPE: CHEESY SPINACH BITES
Makes approximately 25 (1.5-inch) balls
• 1 lb frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
• 4 eggs, beaten
• 1 small onion, diced
• 1.5 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
• 1/2 cup grated parmesan
• 1 cup diced mozzarella
• 1/4 cup melted butter
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together until evenly distributed.
3. Scoop roughly 1-2 tablespoons of mixture and roll into a ball between your hands like you would a large meatball.
4. Continue making balls with the remaining mixture, and set them on a greased sheet pan.
5. Bake balls for 15-20 minutes until slightly browned on the outside and the cheese looks deliciously oozy.

My 3.5 year old son appears to love this video even more than your cranberry one! (Which has been on repeat since he saw it!) The best news? He just requested spinach for tomorrow's dinner! Thanks so much!
+ACriticalThought This is the best note ever! Sending big hugs to your son -- and to you for teaching him well!
ask for videos on "how to mow the lawn" "Where do clean clothes come from?" "How to do the dishes"
Your son is a SIMPLE MAN.
Aww smart kid
@@littlegoobie OMG 🤣🤣🤣

"Extra special super delicious cheesy bites" - so worth hanging around for - that man needs more airtime too! - and Nicole - you're amazing on camera as always - compelling and lucid. Hugely educational - thank-you. Hopefully there are some key potential sponsors discovering this too - they should be - So much potential for helping to create awareness, represent and communicate such positive and enlightening information about everyday food to such a huge and hungry audience. Another beautifully shot 'How does it grow?' production x
+Andy Peck, you're the best. Thank you for such generous words and support. ps I think we're going to have to do a spin-off series starring "my producer." He's got talent! ;)
+Andy Peck I'm angling for more cameos but the audition process is grueling!
Great video. I'm glad to see you're still doing these.
+juandiegosapotec Thank you!

Oh my. I lost it when she winked at the very end.
This is a really great series, and those spinach bites look pretty damn tasty to boot. I'd like to know the oven time and temperature for those Cheesy Spinach Bites, if at all possible.
Consider me subscribed. This is good content, presented in an easily digestible form. I think there's an opportunity to market this information to schools; I'll be passing your site along to the gardening club at my daughter's elementary school.
That's terrific, thanks Brad! Here's a link to the full recipe: www.howgrow.org/blog/2016/3/31/cheesy-spinach-bites

Some people will always click thumbs down.
Spinach haters...
Because she used eggs and that's supporting cruelty of Chicken.
@@loveanimals-0197 Sarcasm or Serious?
I legit was blown away at this awesome project… want to grow some food now
My Mom and i were the only ones who would eat spinach. Still love it today.
Wow! This is really informative and greatly produced video as well, esp. for me who have never seen spinach in person as well as eat/tasted it. Cause from where I live (in the Philippines) we only rely in our local markets for vegetable supplies, in which do not produce or made spinach available maybe because we actually don't grow it here. So, this video for me is really interesting and would like to try spinach in the future.
+Pixi wolfe Thanks! And great to hear spinach is now on your eat list!
I love how after all the wonderful info you gave us a recipe!
I'm so glad! I should really bring the end recipe back to these episodes. Thanks for the inspiration!
This is a great channel. One of the very best for certain. Entertaining, informative, excellent.

Thank God i've found your videos. What a best way to use my free time. :)
Just discovered your vids...great video and informative!
Thank you!! So happy to have you watching.
Thank you film crew, investigater/Narrator and Farmers and Employees!! This show is informative, well done and a great reprieve from typical or conventional RUclips videos. I greatly appreciate your quick and knowledgeable episodes as well as the History behind such food. This is a great example for my Boys so when we travel (or even within the Grocery store) they can now relate better to the crops for which we pass or grow or otherwise have asked questions about.
You have such a great vibrant personality, love it !
feeling in love every episode.
Very nice! :) hope to see more of your how does it grow videos,

Thank you for such lovely feedback. That's fantastic that you're teaching your niece -- she'll remember these times forever, and hopefully become more interested in learning about her food!
