I've spent a few hundred dollars on makeshift hutches and materials, trying to get a setup that I'd be happy with and would be functional. Yours is exactly what I wanted but didn't find your video in the beginning. Now I'll be getting the materials that you've linked and building a setup like yours. Thank you for these videos, they are full of info and very easy to understand and follow! A lot of videos ramble on and veer off from the how to the why but yours stay on topic and you simplify everything so that I can follow along without losing focus on what you're doing. I will be checking out your other videos because you explain things so well and I get all the info I need from them. Keep up the good work and thank you again for posting this video!
This is sooo good guys... I love these cages we made 2 singles like this but it's hard in the winter but can be in a barn out building etc.. We used some thing under them in our porch to catch the mess.. But we also have pens... Pens can be harder to clean these cages makes cleaning up easy... Pens or cages you need shavings or a carbon with hay.... These cages make every thing easier... You guys did them right great job showing us how to
Wild Edibles yes, that’s exactly why we went with this method. They are much easier to lift (because they are so light) and clean. Those wooden hutches, which we have a couple, are so much harder to clean and poo and urine build up in the corners and on the walls so easy. Once we get our rabbitry finished, we will only have these style of cages.
This is great info. Wish I knew this back 40 years ago when I was trying to homestead. Had started out small with rabbits and some chickens. Only had 4 does to start with as I was just learning & didn't want to have kits right away. But this seems to be the perfect way to house the rabbits
Roberta Driver it really is the best way that we’ve ever come across. And once we get our setup complete, it’s going to be so easy to clean the cages and take care of the rabbits, even though we have 16 does and 3 bucks right now. We like to simplify everything, so once we get this done, rabbit chores will be a breeze! Thanks for watching! 👍
I just finished my first rabbit cage and i followed your videos step by step and it turned out just the way you said it would. I am very happy with the results and the knowledge that you and your wife have chosen to share with the world. I am looking for quality breeding stock this week. Wish me luck.
I appreciate you posting this video. I started making mine today. I was to this point, 14:14, and I remembered you saying something about an easier way to make the fit. I'm so glad I watched your video before starting. I came back and watched for this tip tonight.
Just got our buns this week. Had a wooden hutch. Five days in, and im already over it lol. Love this set up, thank you for sharing with us! This will be on our project list for the upcoming month. Feeling more confident now that we've seen it put together. Thank you!
@@SawyerRidgeFarm Very much so :) Forgot to ask the other day, might have missed it in video....but how many cages are you able to get out of the 15' sections?
