    Nice video. When the West Nile Virus came into the USA, I was the “chicken lady “ and I revamped the chicken cages and designed a water system for the chickens because we only went out to the sights twice a week. The chicken watered were little cups with a little yellow thing that they pecked at to get the water. That is a great system. I would put 3 capfuls of bleach to the 5 gallon bucket of water and it would last 6 chickens for a week without them running out. I love your videos.

    Hi guys great video as always . I don't have animals to use this for but I have a suggestion 🤔 instead of using black plastic for the bucket ---> Because it may cause it to heat up. Use an insulation material such as reflectix . Just my 2 cents worth . Its your plan your way . Thanks for sharing 👍 stay safe happy and smiling 😀 !!🇨🇦 Craig

      @@sammijay1072 Hi I think cover the outside of the bucket and get a space blanket a cut in stripes and cover the tubing as far as you can ( if the tubing runs along wood just staple over them for cover ) I have used these two things to keep heat in and out of my off road Tent trailer and it worked awesome. I hope it will do the same for you 😉 Craig

    Jason Crocker sent me over. I am glad you are helping him. You guys are awesome. The first video I watched was on the rabbit watering system. I am very interested in this for maybe doing something like this for my cockatiels. Doing the water sometimes takes us over an hour. I hand wash every water dish and when you have 32 cages to do it is a lot. I don’t know if this is even possible for birds but at least it is making me think a little different, out of the box so to speak. So thank you for being a good friend to Jason and thanks for helping me think out side the box, or in my case, thinking outside the cage... Sandy from Weeki Wachee Florida. And now I am a new subscriber.

    You could also use an O ring to seal the connector at the bucket

  • @ShaneZettelmier
    @ShaneZettelmier 4 года назад

    At the end where you folded it and put a zip tie him to seal it off instead of buying a TV you can just buy a 90° piece there so you don’t have to worry about the end. If you ever want to expand you just pop that out and throw a T in there. Also using a blue or black bucket would help with the algae growth anytime sun hits water you’re going to have stuff growing in it so if you can keep it dark you’re good but if you build a stand with a box or a cover over it that keeps the sun off the bucket also so it doesn’t get too hot in the summer. Also if you put the lid on the bucket cut out a little hole and put some screen over it that will keep the bugs out

    Well done! Dang that wind for stepping on your toes. 😁
    I remember it was toward the end of fall I think that you took your first system down which was not long after you started YT. Made me a little nostalgic. Time will fly now and you'll be at a year before you know! Congratulations!
    I like the new editing skills by the way! I think the music you selected is the same as what Kevin and Rachel use though. 😉
    One question I have is and I keep forgetting to ask is about their bedding. Do they care to have that or do they seem to prefer open air? I only ask because aren't rabbits traditionally burrowers? Would that like the ability to do so or is it something they do in the wild out of self defense? Just a curiosity thing.

Our does kindled last night and we are graced with 6-7 kits each - we didn't count perfect as it's cool and rainy here...but all are covered in lots of fur and wiggly...We have 5 grow outs that are ready for processing...maybe tomorrow if the weather is better, along with two extra roosters we do not need. Thanks! And that’s awesome! Congrats on the kits! And for the ACV, honestly we just kinda eyeball it. We make our own, so it’s not as strong as the store bought stuff. But if I were guessing, it’s probably around 1/4 cup for a 5 gallon bucket. Give or take.

    I noticed you have the automatic watering system and also a bowl of water under the nipple as well. Is that necessary to add to keep the rabbits hydrated? Or is the watering system sufficient?

    My is getting started in raising rabbits, as of now we have 5 rabbits. I’m looking do a auto mic water system for them, just need to know all what material I need. I have to build cages short like your setup but like a book shelf deal or what type of cage set up do you think I should do for 5 rabbits for now, it may increase. I would like your advice. Cause I’m a OTR trucker (over the road trucker) and my wife and kids teams to the rabbits but I would like the a material list so I can get started on the water system. And if possible on the best design & set up for the cages.
