It confounds me why Toho doesn't just allow more merchandise of unused or concept designs. I know some of it is likely rights issues like 1994 Tristar Goji but for most of it? I mean, it'd be so cool to see monsters like Ghost Godzilla and others get fully realized as figures. Especially since the ones we do get like Bagan and this take on the maquette design look so cool.
Yeah I’m not sure why Toho are so tight lipped with things like this. Granted, yes, this likely wouldn’t sell like a grand slam, but there’s still a market for the under repped. Bagan proved that. Easy.
Here’s to hoping they keep this energy going!
@@ShinRobjira I really hope so. I mean between Bagan and what the Studio Series Concept Megatron showed? If fans find the unused thing cool enough, they're gonna give it a shot. Plus we like the unusual. I mean it certainly beats getting the 500th Heisei Ghidorah... which will still be bought.
