Yes, there is. Its time accuracy is not reliable. Not more than a years it’s already delaying for 5 mins and more than a year the delay is from 5 to 30 mins. Under a $100 automatic watch, you get what you paid for.

    Ice. Cold.
The SNK809 was my first Seiko mechanical and really got me hooked. The strap was immediately stored and thanks the abundance of 18 mm straps on the market, it's become quite the chameleon. NATO, Perlon, Leather, and Silicon straps all look great on the '809 and in nearly any color. It's a little tank of a watch with a near-cult following. Worth noting on the '809: Not only does it check the box as a Field Watch, but if you forget the diminutive size for a moment, it also passes as a Flieger Type B, pilot's watch. Granted it's a stretch, but for a guy like me with a 6.75" wrist, I'll never be able to wear a genuine 45+ mm-sized Flieger watch. So this one checks off that 'look' in my watch collection. Another point: The '809 is also a gateway to the watch modding community. Want to really customize your watches? Start here. Its cheaper than trying to get your hands on a Seiko SKX series - that ship has sailed.
Watch enthusiasts should all have at least one 7S26-equipped Seiko. The Seiko 5 Series has many great styles and sizes. They require your interaction by wearing them or giving it a few 'Seiko-Shakes' to get it going. This a great watch to share on your channel, Ben. Great choice.

The SNK809 was also my first mechanical watch. I have tried all sorts of 18mm straps on it but have found that I always end up going back to the stock black strap, I think it suits it better than the rest. With the satin finish on the case I don't like putting natos with the high polish silver buckles on it, and satin buckles are harder to find. I also think natos make it sit a little high on the wrist considering the watch is small. So my preference is a 2 piece strap with satin buckles, but it's so versatile you could put anything on it. I love how the SNK809 aesthetic follows the flieger watches of WWII but also has a nod to Seiko's RAF Gen 1 in its dimensions, and even has a sort of Sinn-esque tough look to it. It's a God-tier watch.

I am so enamored of this watch that I have two of them. The green dial on a distressed leather bund strap (to further the B-Uhr dial motif) and the red dial version on a mesh metal bracelet to give it a bit of flash. As mentioned previously, for such an inexpensive automatic watch, it is remarkably accurate and is able to take quite a beating. Hardlex is satisfactory, but it will scratch, however one cannot expect a sapphire crystal at this price point. The provided strap is rather cheaply made and will wear out quickly, nor is it very comfortable. A quick change of the strap, however, will solve that problem easily! I would say this is definitely "Cool"!

I have the SNK807 variant (blue dial and band) and like it quite a bit. It sits on my winder right next to my Orient Ray Raven II (pumpkin dial) Seiko makes outstanding watches. I even have some vintage Seiko (King Seiko Hi-Beat) watches, and one of these days, I plan to add a Grand Seiko spring drive to the collection.

I really appreciate how you take smaller wrists into perspective. I am a (sometimes -1) first hole on the strap person myself and can't wear many a watch due to its unreasonable size. Seikos 37/38 mm got me hooked on the Seiko5 line.

If the case size fits you well Seiko SNK809 has a great potential to mod it or customize: crystal, hands, movement!

Its a great alternative to crappy, flimsy "women's" watches. Durable but not monstrous.

I have very thin wrists and wanted something that had a casual look so I ordered one of these as my first watch.

I purchased my Seiko field watch in 2008 for £24.00 from a dealer in Singapore. It still keeps good time, I've had no issues and I rate it very highly. The strap is the original one, although the stitching wore through on the small leather re-enfocement. I removed that and it is still serviceable. I do prefer it to my cheap Lorus "Lumibrite" field watch simply because it fits my wrist better and is more comfotable. It goes right up there at the top as far as I am concerned.

I have that exact type and color and it does keep great time. My only negative is no manual wind option, but for the price I think that might be asking too much more.

I had an SNK803 and loved it. It's too small for my 8" wrist but I wore it. I didn't realize the WR was so poor. RIP SNK803.

Love Seikos, and have had many. My favorites are the divers. But I have several Seikos 5s including that one. That one is the only one to have any mechanical issues over the years. To be fair I may have worn it when I had a bike crash, or fell in the woods, or something, I don't remember as both have happened more than once over the years lol. I love the hi contrast dial etc but, for some reason, this watch always ends up "off" in time. Or sometimes stops. It is probably a simple fix but I never got around to taking it to a jeweler. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another though.
Also, Seiko lume is bright as heck. don't know how they do it.

I do watch repair. Love your video. First one I've seen. These are great for the price. Especially if you can get it in the hands of a Watchmaker and dial in the amplitude and beat error. In shipping alone they usually get a bit off. People like to knock these because they don't hack or manual wind. Not really a big deal in my opinion. Plus I love the size. I rate it cool for its bang for the buck ratio, the beautiful dial and color choices.

I wear this on a black silicone strap. It's my daily work watch. I work in a metal shop. Other than a few blemishes around the case, it's held up better than I thought getting whacked around on random steel objects at my job. I love this watch. I just wish it was hackable.

My biggest issue was the strap. Despite what some on the internet said, I could not get the strap to break in well. Not really an issue though because I swapped it with a NATO after about a month on the wrist. I have had no issues with the waterproofing despite what many say. I have been snorkeling with it (I know its not diving) continuously submerged between 2 and 10 feet for an hour or more with no issues. Plus, if there is water ingress a new movement is like 20 dollars and can be replaced in an afternoon without much effort.
