This song began as an innocent heartbreak song and was crafted as such. I got a real catchy chorus and build further upon that.
When i started piecing together the video clip my mind took a turn for the darkest abyss, it resulted in some really dark artwork. Suddenly the song got an entire different meaning, which triggered me to continue the style. The duality of it was fascinating.
Tried to add some realism to some of the style of the shots.
Took a bit longer to release this one, i've been pouring more and more time into this little project. Spent some extra attention to quality, added Adobe After Effects to the workflow to upscale and interpolate. Should improve the overall quality and smooth out the movement.
I got a good gothic metal vibe with some clear predominant synthesizers, ofcourse joined by the very nice deep vocals and some heavy guitars intertwined by a haunting chorus!
Hope you enjoy this track! Another one of those repeat tracks for me!
Process:
- Carefully craft a personal, meaningful lyric (using several Lyric AI's)
- Feed that Lyric to the Music AI's
- Describe my personal mood or creatures of my mind and generate a song piece by piece with music AI's
- Describe what i envision in my head when i hear the song and generate artwork with AI (this can get pretty dark)
- Animate that artwork with AI
- Upscale and Interpolate all the artwork with Adobe After Effects
- Edit it into an abstract music video (with a little help of AI in Adobe Premiere Pro)
To be clear: this is the result of me spending lots of time and playing with several AI's. There is NO substitute for the real Type-O-Negative, you know that and i know that!

I heard this knowing nothing about your content and thought "huh, this must be what AI thinks Type O Negative sounds like." Looked a little further and I guess that's right. Peter is turning in his grave.
Well your thoughts were not far from it! There's more to it though. Theres alot of work and guidance involved as well.
I'm sorry you find this offensive, as this is in no way the intention. I just like to feed lyrics, moods to AI's and see what they come up with. I like playing with music in any form (i also play drums, guitar and piano). As i grew up with alot of Doom metal (and Type-O-Negative being one of the favorites) i tend to end up with alot of tracks that speak to my likings.
I sift through so many generated content based on my prompts and only retain what speaks to me and piece it together block by block.
Some content gives me more of a Type-O-Negative vibe than other content so i tend to release it as Type-B-Negative (if it does) and Artificial Doom (if it doesn't), nowhere hiding how it was created. It is not monetized nor do i have any intention on doing so, i just wish to share the goosebumps it gave (and still is giving) me!
@@M4rtle thanks for the reply. I should be more encouraging to the creative process as a musician myself who also deeply loves Peter Steele and Type O Negative, but it's very difficult to see AI influencing so much art these days. I can't help but feel that Peter would have a scathing commentary. His music was written direct from the soul, the pure expression of his suffering and desire. To hear it reduced to an algorithm, an artificial flavor... It's offensive to what was pure and real about Peter's music (to me).
I will say this though, what's Type O if not offensive? Hats off to you, sir.

I guess more comments were inevitable, my new friend. It matches my writing style, and if the future held a movie, then here I would be seeking haunting requiems for the soundtrack. I also listen to Midnight Darkwave where Alan and I are friends in the night. I feel you may empathise with his vocals.
Truly captures the loss of Peter whose spirit must surely open an eye upon hearing this tribute to loss and the void that follows.
Not a bad sound indeed on that Midnight Darkwave. Lots of keyboards and a deep dark mysterious vocal!

@@M4rtle many exchanges with Alan have led to an understanding of his music. I trust there will be many here now too. One of my go to albums is First and Last and Always by the Sisters. In fact Austin at alternativeguitars has covered Alice very recently and kindly did Mourning Sun by FOTN for me. All by ear too, which is highly impressive.
