I would surely hope not! I cant imagine a bigger torture than going deaf! On a more serious note, with that comment, do you mean you can still hear its AI and therefor dislike it? I for sure 100% agree that you can hear this is AI, i've never hidden it or denied it. But it is still fun and interesting to use this tool to express yourself or create something you have in your mind, while sounding somewhat decent (to my ears at least).

That's exactly why i make and post these! Hoping it makes someone feel something as it did for me! Or in your case, feel it less. Music heals!

The video is a combo of Luma, Leonardo, Hedra, Noisee, LTX Studio and Haiper! I pulled the clips through Adobe After Effects and stitched them together in Premiere Pro.

It's just a fun tool to mess around with. I don't think it will ever replace real artists as people will still want a live experience. I see it take a place as a steady tool in the creational/inspirational process of an artist/band. BTW: i also play real instruments!

Yes. My process is in the description 😉 I basicly generate pictures with several AI's and animate them with more AI's and edit/stitch them together to create some abstract music video in Adobe Premiere. This specific one i also used an AI to sing some pieces of the verses.

That's alot of answering for one word! Why create music with AI? Because its addicting, and finally sounding like music instead of a culmination of random sounds. It's another way to express or be creative. Why name it Type-B-Negative? Because i generate mostly Gothic/Doom metal with clean deep vocals. The AI generated voices have this Echo/reverb/chorus effects to their vocals which instantly reminded me of Type-O-Negative. Hence the B-version reference, whenever i get that vibe during creation i gets the Type-B label. Why process it into a music video (with more AI)? Because a listening to a song gets stronger when there is a fitting visual. Why post it on RUclips? Many of these songs have given me goosebumps and chills time and time again. If these can cause any of those feelings for anyone else, it is worth publishing on RUclips!

The vocalist is generated with AI, so it's not any bands singer 😉

It's not because it is created with AI's that people are not allowed to enjoy it. It does not substitute or measure up to the real thing though, i fully agree on that.

Cannot agree more, this is just a hobby AI project. No replacement for Type-O-Negative!

This was my first time playing with the AI's, concept testing. The songs after got a bit better. Do check out some more recent songs! I'm not trying to copy Type-O-Negative though. I'm just generating doom/gothic metal. The AI voices all have this reverb/echo/chorus sound which instantly give me Type-O vibes (one more than the other). It was the first connection my brain made when listening to it, hence the tag B-version.

@@M4rtle I think I (like some others that have commented) have a hard time with the AI generated vocals because Steele had such an iconic voice. The band never even thought about replacing him when he died because he was truly irreplaceable. No matter how hard AI tries I don't think it will ever replicate his voice. What is cool though is you can still hear his influence in some modern bands like Unto Others. Peter Steele and Till Lindemann are two of my favorite metal vocalists - two voices you don't forget once you hear them.

Its not a Peter Steele-copy singing though, you cannot prompt it to copy an exact voice. It just styles it to the same genre. On some of my songs the vocals have a clear UK or AUS accent, no way to be consistent on that front yet. The vocals always have a different subcolour. I have no illusions, anyone listening clearly hears its not Peter (nor do i want to pass them as Peter), the vocals are just, in my opinion, (heavily) influenced! I understand that this can be offensive to people or hard to accept, but do realise this is just a hobby project. I like playing with music in any form. This will never get big nor do i have any plans on monetization. I create music mainly for me, as these are tracks i steered and therefor fit my music taste perfectly. I just share it on RUclips, somebody might appreciate the listen or get some comfort/joy out of it. It's AI generated, but theres still a whole creative process involved and a shitload of hours spent, its not a '1 prompt / press generate / done'-type of thing at all. Generative AI in general is still very hard to accept for some people, but i really believe there's no stopping it anymore. Artists will just incorporate it into their creative processes. Type-O-Negative was Peter Steele, they couldn't continue the same band without him. The best they could've done was create a new band and a new story within the same genre. But again, this would be no Type-O-Negative. He also is one of my favorite voices! (i also really like the vocals and music of oldschool Life Of Agony - River Runs Red era)

Also, thanks for the Unto Others tip, i didn't know that band. Digging their sound though!
