Great video, Gin. I admire your determination. I thought I'd share what I do when beach hunting. It might prove helpful. First, I notch out bottle caps, iron, and pull tabs when hunting the dry beach sand. I know I might miss something made of gold, but I am willing to chance it. I also pass up pennies (I have loads of wheat and Indian Head pennies) but dig everything else. It increases my treasure to trash ratio. I dig everything when I hunt in the wet sand and water because there are fewer bottle caps and pull tabs. You are also more likely to find jewelry in the water, including gold and silver. This works for me. We all have to metal detect with machine settings and methods we're comfortable using. Keep up the excellent work. Eventually, I think you will find a priceless treasure. By that, I mean something special to you. By the way, I have been metal detecting for ten years and currently use a Garrett AT Pro (for the last 8 years) and just ordered an XP Deus II. I’d never considered that there would be less pull tabs and bottle caps out there, but as soon as I read what you wrote it made sense. They are super light where gold is heavy. great video, i'll try my gold kruzer on the gulf coast beach near me. I always use 0 GB and turn the gain down until it's quiet. i've been using MICRO mode. it looks like you got some very deep targets. but sifting this sand will be easier than what you had to dig thru. great videos and you sure do get around.
It’s got wonderful beaches Jim. Ft. Moultrie is a great beach front historic site to explore if you like history. Sullivan’s island beach is the quietest, and then Folly and Isle of Palm are more touristy.
Hello. I really enjoy your informative videos))) I just purchased a Nokta Makro Gold Kruzer and i have never detected before and im kinda lost on the settings. I live in New Hampshire and there are alot of rivers and streams here where people have found gold. Do you have any recommendations on basic settings? The rocks here have alot of iron in them. Hey Gin… i have hit folly beach many many times myself… almost same results… except for after heavy storms with good wave surge.. I’ve found more jewelry after storms… and of course still the ever so plentiful corona caps! Lol

You're in my neck of the woods now! Kinda slim there huh? We hunt around there and down state more for CW artifacts! We do pretty well there. Love the CW relics.
y'know they dump soooo much sand from offshore there to replenish Folly Beach ... most of what you find is very contemporary... within two to four years of being dropped. But they don't focus on the East/North side so lots there. Folly is popular and LOTs of dropping occurs for sure!
Never been on the East Coast, this is so cool to see the scenery. Want you to find an epic diamond encrusted solid gold and very feminine ring for yourself. (Bonus points for finding platinum). Do it soon! Keep on smiling!

Great show 👏 I have that kind of shovel! Great now a plastic hand sifter. I don't own a pen pointer. The detector does that. Run the sifter over then detector and bingo! I'm open for suggestions too. HAPPY FINDING 😊!
Can’t stand the haters when just a simple, fun, video. I’m kinda new as well, but a good friend offered some help. Once you get tone on your pinpointer, use your hand as to not hit your target. Also, if I may, find your target, then move 45 degrees and find it again. It will help with getting more exact. You are so cute and fun to watch. The red hair will bring you more luck lol. Regarding your comment about technicals, that’s not what my channel is about. I focus on having fun detecting, traveling, and a positive metal detecting community. There are loads of channels that do the highly technical reviews, experiments, etc. They may be more what you need to get started. Good luck! 🍀
You get a lot of recommendations, so I want to turn you on to a channel that not only has a lot of fun metal detecting, but also poking a little fun at some of the more serious “Barry” types. It’s NYC Metal Detecting if you haven’t seen him yet. He’s hilarious.

Last I checked, Folly Beach is in SOUTH Carolina. I remember the dance hall that was on the pier back in the 60’s & 70’s.

I love that little shovel; it’s my size and easy to use. I never thought about that advantage of a plastic sifter. Hmmmm 🤔
Once you use a pin pointer you will never want to go without one...makes a big big difference...
