Moonlight Metal Detecting on the Gulf Coast Beaches

- In this video, I share a couple of fun night hunts by the light of the full moon. First we visit Pensacola beach, and then on to Gulf Shores. Join me to see what all we can find!

Not a bad hunt. All that change could just have easily been pirate booty! Maybe next time it will. And the little ring was a nice find...got you "on the board" as they say and it's a worthy memento of your night on the beach. Even a pull-tab with a little imagination can conjure a momentary high...followed by an abrupt crash, lol. But that just makes the next real treasure all the more fulfilling! I've done a little detecting and come up with far less! But you can still hear the ocean waves, smell the air, and meld with your surroundings. Thanks for bringing us along. We're rootin' for ya!

Here in UK my favourite hunting time is the dark hours. Far less distractions, no people, just me and my hearing; plus a machine, a spade, and my finds pouch and pencil torch around my neck.
You did better than I. I went during the air show and could hardly believe the stack of tent stakes I had when I finally decided to through in the towel.

Lucky me to see another one of your videos i sure would like to go with you some time my buddy and i went to Alaska for gold years ago we did pretty good nothing big a lot of fines but the scenery was so beautiful.

Hi Gin!! Beautiful black & white intro with the moon!! I don't get it with those pull tabs. Modern cans haven't had the type that pop off in many years. maybe you found real old ones. Silver ring was awesome too. Congrats Gin 😃😁😎

Good finds...good night's work. Sometime, you could try an ultraviolet light while detecting , they have some that clip to the bill of your cap, etc...
Some "treasures" will floresce under UV... as will scorpions, florescent minerals, etc... Just a thought.
Probably a LOT cooler, and not as crowded at night, right? Just keep alert of your surroundings (you know).

I have enjoyed these night beach hunts.... In the first hunt, your red pin pointer sounded like an orca or baby dolphin whenever it gave a signal.... I also wondered about you seeing sea turtles🐢 on a full moon-lit night. I heard you mention seeing turtle tracks. So wish I could hunt 👣👣👣👣with you guys someday/ or night. I live in TAMPA BAY FLORIDA ,USA🇺🇸⛏🍀 If you ever venture to the mid FLORIDA west coast, I would love to find you guys beach hunting...there are some restictions though you need to find that out beforehand. Girl, from a fellow Memphis boy, you need help contact me. Whoever shot the video didn't white balance and looks like a comet landed on your chest. Also the high angle at 6:17 makes your knee look like a growth. Otherwise, you are a beauty and a doll!!

A lot safer sun-wise than out in the daytime sun on those beaches. That sun bouncing off the sand will FRY you.
So true, especially if you venture out for water hunting and it washes your sunblock off.😖

The oval pendant is silver for sure. Also if you turn your ISO on your camera down you’ll have a better video under the bright light. Awesome finds.

A nice relaxing Night hunt with no people in the way. Looks like the Deus II is working well for you. Did you do the update? Version 1.1 is working great for me. The little mystery item looks like it could be a button. Hard to tell because it's so crusty.

I knew as soon as the video started you were at Pensacola beach pier. I lived there for 10 years. It’s a nice beach. I never got to detect there though…wish I did. I can tell you a better spot to detect at that is in Pensacola if you want.

Great fun hunt Gin. I wish I could figure out my Nox 800 because I want to get out and hunt but just can't figure out the settings and how to get the noise clutter off so it's discouraging to get out there.
Check the manual, it’s online and gives the basic settings for all the modes. You can do a factory reset to go back to all the original settings by holding the power button 4 or 5 seconds.

You should try one of those LED headlamps by Energizer for night hunts. Keeps the light out of your eyes. Some come with the red night light too. Under $20
Another awesome video. I do not have a metal detector but I plan on walking the Ft. Walton beaches this weekend when I’m there. Maybe I’ll happen to find something washed up by the tides. Keep up with the great content.

Great idea! Its too hot during the day!! What beach were you at? I lived down in santa rosa beach for years. I used to hunt beaches but got tired of all the junk. SO much junk. Im in E Tn now. Going to Lake Watauga today to hunt around a little.

Wonderful hunt. Do you have someone who is your camera person, or is it a solo venture. Sometimes it seems there is someone there, and other times it seems as if it’s just you. Keep building your channel young lady!
Sometimes I have someone with me, but often I’m alone juggling camera equipment and detecting equipment.
