Following a two-week training residency with leading professional orchestra musicians, these remarkable teenagers not only have the opportunity to play on the famed stage of Carnegie Hall but then embark on a tour to some of the great music capitals of the world, while serving as dynamic musical ambassadors. did they just hand saxophones to the clarinetists and ask them to play the sax part

    • @nerdandrew
      @nerdandrew 7 лет назад +5

      that's a good point, but I would expect the NYO clarinetists in general to be 100% focused on clarinet especially being under a lot of competition, so I wouldn't expect those clarinetists to be doublers.

      They gave a clarinetist a sax just for that segment, as this piece has a tenor sax part written in it.

    Noone, literally NO ONE plays dance of knights right, and especially the rythm is always wrong, everyone plays this too fast, Dance of knights is something EPIC you cant just play this soooooo fast that the listener doesnt have enought time to catch the point.

    The kid on desk 4 has too much emotion, shouldn’t be that expressive when he isn’t the leader

    • @theatavist5120
      @theatavist5120 5 лет назад +21

      The audience LOVES it when players move around expressively, and it inspires the other musicians on stage to get more immersed in their playing. As long as they're not deviating _musically_ from the principal, then they should move as much as they want.
