Each summer, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute brings together the brightest young players from across the country to form the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). Following a comprehensive audition process and a three-week training residency with leading professional orchestra musicians, these remarkable teenagers embark on a tour to some of the great music capitals of the world while serving as dynamic music ambassadors. In 2018, the orchestra traveled to Asia with conductor Michael Tilson Thomas and pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, performing a new Carnegie Hall-commissioned work by Ted Hearne alongside works by Sibelius and Gershwin. The tour kicked off with the orchestra’s annual concert at Carnegie Hall, continuing with stops in Taipei, Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul, and Daejeon. In 2019, NYO-USA returns to Europe with conductor Sir Antonio Pappano and mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato.

I’m playing this piece at school and let me just say...this piece is like super hard so I give many props to all of those musicians 👏🏾👏🏾
I’m doing this piece for an audition and I never expected this song to be so amazing when played altogether!!! Amazing playing!!!
A wonderful piece of music played by talented young musicians at a SENSIBLE tempo
Yah I agree about the sensible tempo😂👍
How can celebrities get so many likes and subscribers and these realy talented people can’t like wtf
Amy Robichaud the tv show is the reason I’m tuning here
Well done, you just described exactly how populism is bad
it's because most people do not find this entertaining. Like how I find golf and basketball kinda boring. This kind of stuff is a niche discourse community compared to celebrities that advertise in movies and sell their own brands and stuff. Just think about it.. it makes perfect sense right? So it's not really a problem after all once you break it down and try to understand

@@gcg8187 It’s not a problem? You’re such a bootlicking swine
For those of us who are very concerned with the future of classical music in this country, this gives us all hope. Of course there should be dozens of these orchestras in this country.
Very nice. The camera should have at least showed the tympanist a couple of times.
Corsica Agree
I thought I'm the only one who thinks about the camera man's shooting techniques. But the orchestra is great indeed.
They also kept focusing on the oboes when it was the clarinets playing. Never showed the clarinets up close.
or the horns
Absolutely first class... played at th right pace, by such wonderfully talented young people.
This made me cry. Thank you so much for this video!
In 8th grade, I had to play this piece and it was so hard. We played it slower and it was still difficult! I have so much respect for these players! They are so good!
I really like their sound
Bravo! I´ve heard this peace a lot over the years....splendid performance!!!
How can celebrities get all these lakes and fame but these freaking awesome musicians can’t
I respect these guys
Terrific! And by such young (talented) players.
Nice to see a new generation of classical musicians rise.
An extremely good rendition of this well known 'piece'. Especially from such a young orchestra membership.
