As an autistic person, I relate to this so much. The idea of "working up" to wearing something new in certain situations is wonderful!

Same here! This was a keyword for me when I got typed by Rita, and I’m also autistic!

@@theetherealshaye That’s so interesting! Out of curiosity, did she type you in a down quadrant?

@@hazbort yeah she did! I’m a Ruby, and The Wildflower archetype.

@@theetherealshaye Cool! I’m quite sure I’m a ruby, but idk what archetype I would be.

OMG Rita that was spot on! After spending years studying everything about style and building my style concept, I was sooo disappointed in myself for buying the "wrong things" again. Also I love shopping, but I get overwhelmed very quickly. Lately I have been trying the Ruby key approach and I am so happy with my intuitive outfits that "do not make sense in theory", but feel good on my body! LOVE your work and ability to put the concept into such loving and encouraging words! ❤🙏 Kamila

Oh Rita, How do you always know exactly how I am feeling? You are such a treasure to me!

When I buy something outside of my Norm, I feel bad for the item. I feel that I am rejecting it and somehow give it feelings. Is that weird? I know it is just an "X" but it makes me sad....

This was so eloquent and beautiful! I figured out while very young that I need to "make them mine" before I wear clothes, just like you outlined with the warming up to the clothes, but I never really had a way to verbalize this for myself. Thank you!

Just found your channel through Gabrielle Aruda! This video makes so much sense to me! I've had to really work through what you're talking about - what is newness and what is actual "ick". Once I know my definite icks, it's easier to find new things to try, it helps to know what to avoid.😊

This describes me so well and was very validating. Thank you. My skin is really sensitive and I can't wear wool, cashmere, linen, polyester or rough fabrics. I love to shop at thrift stores because I can try new styles for a few dollars. I have learned a lot about silhouette and the right styles to buy for my body by trying things on. It is always a treasure hunt.

I got my dream sandals. They are gold and as soon as I tried them on I wasn't so sure since the sandals made my toes look a bit red and my feet a bit big. Also they are so versatile theoretically, but for me I am not used to something so nice and feminine. So I just put them away and thought I will wear them someday. At first was disappointed. But this video has inspired me to try wearing them around the house and go from there :) Thanks
I feel so validated thanks to this video. As a left down, I've bought so many things in person and online that just didn't work out for me. And it made me really hard on myself. But there was also that thing that I would put something on and immediately take it off and decide it wasn't for me. I think that this is great advice that once I get something new, I should really try to wear it out and about and then decide if it is for me or not. Thank you!!

You have really thought deeply about all of this! I’m incredibly lucky that you share what you know, because deep reflection is really hard for me, but boy do I recognize myself in this delicate essence framework! I’ve got your Foundations course, and I’ll be working on the first activity tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to it, I can tell you. But now I’m going to go watch the style rut video you recommended🥰

Hi Rita. I think I'm a Ruby, wanting to be a Moonstone, but I'm also delicate of sensibilities, so this speaks to me, too. I've been trying to approach style from the inside out to figure out what makes me tick, why I'm so bored in things I love the most, how to expand my choices without being overwhelmed. I was looking for pendants recently that relate to the story of my life, and had a thought to make a story necklace with all the little pendants attached. And then I realized that it would quickly drive me crazy, because I would also want it to be a favorite for everyday. So instead of wearing all my stories at once, I decided just to keep the basic chain and switch out pendants as my mood changes. I just won't tell my whole story all at once. That made me feel really validated.

Hi Rita, that was so helpful, I’m definitely a ruby, comfort is the key for me. I have struggled to find clothes that feel comfortable physically and emotionally. I was aware at an early age that my appearance attracted unwanted attention so I suppose I felt like I needed to become unnoticeable. Being a Theatrical Romantic, soft summer with Ethereal essence I fully embody the delicate essence. Now I understand myself better and have more confidence the romantic part of my nature is starting to shine through and I finally feel like I’m able to express the Femme Fatale in me. Thank you for all your content Xx

❤️❤️❤️thank you. I just thought I was a failure at style. I relate to every word of this video. Just recently I made a commitment to myself to make myself go thrifting once or twice a month and try new things in a low pressure way. So this was just the video I needed right now.

I could actually cry. This is the first keyword I can actually say yes this is me!
    1. I live in jeans and 3/4 length trousers. Like thats it for my bottom half. I have a pair of jeggings but they are like "special occasions" almost. I never ever wear skirts because they stress me out trying to find the right length and the right degree of flair. Hate them too tight, hate them too flairy, too short and I just look at myself in a skirt and can't see it looks good on me at all. The same with dresses. I can't get the cut right and just end up feeling so uncomfortable. Overall things have to be just right. Not too tight, loose etc otherwise I feel so off

I don't know if this fits the theme of this video. But I cant really judge if a piece of clothing is for me only by seeing it in the store or wearing it at home. I need to test it 'in the real world'. Sometimes I will feel uncomfortable all the time by minor issues and fidget all the time. Or just don't feel good in objectively perfectly nice clothes.
