I have my scan this week waiting for results is the hardest part. There is a physical and an emotional toll to cancer and the emotional lasts longer and is more difficult to deal with in many ways. You really captured that feeling in this video and I didn’t feel as alone, thanks.

Not bored at all! It was a while since I saw a clean with me video and I found it inspiring, I am so impressed you did all that organizing while feeling rubbish. Fingers crossed you get your scan results just as you want them! I hope you have a lovely Saturday evening, I have spent all day in bed (part from making lunch for my family), I have breastcancer for my first time and some days are better than other. Hugs!

I hear you. I’m on hormone and targeted therapy as well. Halfway through the day I always feel like I am tapping out. You are strong. Idk how you do it with kids. You are basically a super hero.

@@kbebens1 I take mine before bed, but I think it’s more the feeling of only getting a certain amount of energy before the body has nothing more to give type of thing. I compare it to the spoon theory of people who manage chronic illnesses.

Wouldn’t be possible during my chemo days haha! I did chemo every 14 days and day 13 I cleaned and batch cooked and then it was back to bed for 2 weeks 😅

Awww this is so nice!! Haha other people’s clutter doesn’t bother me - no judgement here! I take an antiemetic which does help but I drink electrolyte drinks now after someone recommended and they work really well - of course, yesterday I forgot to do that 😅

No fetal position even once? No head buried in bed? I am beyond impressed. Chemo just kicks my hiney. It’s so silly but every time I get scared I’m going to die. That I’ve done this to live and I’m going to die alone in my little 900 sf condo. That’s when I take the clonazapam, gabapentin, cry myself to sleep and then when I can physically manage go to my mom and sisters to not be alone. I’m at there house now, sending you love and strength to endure from Denver, CO USA📿🫶🏾✝️💕🤗
Ahhhhhhh Chloe!! Chemo full on kicked my butt! A lot of fetal position, sitting in the shower crying and curtains closed pillow over the head!!! I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way x
I get very depressed and tired when I get chemo. I suffer alone and don't show this side to other people, so my closest friends think I am doing OK and that I am very positive and strong. I am completely opposite.

I have kidney cancer Mets to lung cancer in liver there wasn't any more to try. I started my last 2 yrs on maintaining just made me sicker. I'm in home hospit they gave me 6 months in june😢 good luck on your battle. ❤

Oh man. I'm taking Verzenio and you were right about the 💩. I hate this drug. I seriously thought after radiation was done, everything was done. But nooooo. 🙄 I've been neutropenic before during taxol. Just felt tired. They should make cancer drugs that make us feel good. For reals. 🤗

have you tried taking your kisqali at bedtime? Works for me...
I haven’t. I do letrozole at night… I don’t know why I was told to do it in the morning! This kind of makes sense haha
@@DeeDoherty I believe the trials have been carried out with morning doses, which explains the directive. But as with any long term cancer medication like kisqali, anything that helps you tolerate it and continue taking it is for the better. In other words, there are no contraindications for taking it at night. No studies seeing a diminished efficacy because they're are none!
In my case, I also had to get my dose lowered from 600mg to 400mg daily after 5 or 6 cycles because my neutrophils were always way below the acceptable threshold. I tried a high dose cycle again this month and felt worse. They just don't know much about the dosage vs effectiveness. And notice dosage is not weight adjusted.
My oncologist keeps telling me it's not a race but a marathon, so I need to spare myself. This in contrast to the all-in approach used after a stage 1 or 2 diagnosis.
One question I have is whether your oncologist is honest about the prognosis? I am aware of the stats online - scary - but it seems to be a taboo subject for them. "New medicine could comes out", "these stats are not considering new meds", etc., is the automatic response to close further discussion.
@@LaserStarletthat makes a lot of sense. Well the median is 5 years, at this stage it’s too early for me to know how long I have. I would say they’re probably not as hopeful as I am, if anything. I’m just trusting the process and hoping for a long time! Not because I’m sticking my head in the sand, but because I WANT to be here for as long as possible with my kids. If I focus on it only being a few years I’ll be so depressed it won’t even be worth having me around! How about you? Have you been given a time frame?
No, impossible to really tell how long I have. I had read that bone mets (my case) initially appear to be the least worrisome but some studies I've read cast doubt on that narrative, not showing much more overall survival. It is incredibly difficult to live in this complete uncertainty. We need to be both hopeful and practical. I also have young children and I need to actually think about the possibility that I could die before they reach adulthood and the implications of this. So I am going back and forth between hope and faith and a call to reality. I'm not more special than those who die so I might only have a few years. It is difficult to wrap my head around that. It is surreal @@DeeDoherty

@@DeeDoherty I know what you mean with the anxiety of waiting for results . I had my ovaries out and they said oh yeah we removed a lesion too and then I heard nothing for a week and stressed about it and it was fine .
