The thing I heard today from this video that I'll apply in the next 24 hours is to be able to ask questions and I don't want to let insecurity hold me back and take a gamble of 50% of succeeding or failing. This is so important in private and professional life. Communication is the key to improving myself.
For sales, the concept that it's not as much about making the sale as it is about asking the customer the right questions. For personal life, be critical of the trends of your thoughts and actions, and either change or continue according to your desired outcome. Amazing and stimulating video that opened another level of awareness in my mind, thank you both!

I am all for living in peace over having money, but it's true that you can't buy anything if you don't chase the money. What is it YOU want? Make clear to them that you want to know as much as you can about their point of view to not do the complete wrong thing by getting a clear view of their perspective, because you "want to help them," for example. Be clear and get clarity from them while telling them why you want their clarity. 2.) Dr. K's line of "Tell me more about this/that?" Don't take the first request as gospel. Reiterate the statement and then inquire further to get the main idea why they mention this request. "I would like a logo" "Okay I'd love to make you a new logo; you want a logo, can you tell me more about why you would like this?" other phrases: "Walk me through how..." "So for clarity's sake what my brain is hearing is... is that what you meant or am I hearing wrong?" "So here's how I understand it, correct me if I'm wrong..." "I know that you [positive percieved comment first] but [negative perceived action]." 3.) What is the intention? The why for your action? Is it worth asking those extra questions, risking discomfort and getting viewed as incapable if I am learning and getting more clear on what the person really wants? Research, asking the right questions leading to a clearer answer, get to what is mutually desired as much as possible, don't assume for the sake of being safe now. Learn the right course of action and risk now for the long term to be right because of your initial thinking and studying. The cost of getting closer to that "right answer" is that potential pain now. Stop trying to justify what may be right by overcompensating. "UNDERSTAND what they need and set those EXPECTATIONS clearly to fall back on." [[personal note- Alex, you don't have to learn ALL of these fundamentals at the same time. You've learned after all these video series to draw characters and graphic design and language learning to TRUST in the process and to start small, one step at a time, simple shapes. From there you decide if it requires more details depending on the project and what was studied.]] 4.) No one taught us how to have a professional relationship/ have a professional conversation with a client/partner. 5.) Said it before but, "TRUST IN THE PROCESS," If you know something works if you do it... then what if you just did the thing? What are your excuses not to? Is it valid, and if so can THAT be solved? If it were solved would you do the thing? What if they can't be then can this be done? If all is clear- why not just do the thing and trust the process? Action over fear. Although a nuance on this is, "DOING nothing is also an action. You are DOING." As long as there is an intention behind it, then it is an action. Meditating, waiting, doing nothing is something. Sometimes it is the action to take, sometimes it is something else. What is your process to the process to taking that action? Cause and Effect. 5.5.)) 46:20 The thinking that got you to do the action in the first place... why did you take this course? Why did you take this action? What guided this decision? Are you happy with the decisions you made, even if it is painful? What is the worst case scenario if you take this action, would you still take that "risk"? What's the best shape in your life? If you're in the best shape of your life because you are taking an action, why stop doing that action? Stay in that pocket of what WORKS. Look up "Loss Aversion Bias." 6.) When you see where its going, you don't like where its going, change it. Who resonates with where you want to be? Do what they tell you to do. Stay humble, let go of ego and embrace what new ideas may be out there. Still keep principle and values, but hear out an answer. Allow it to be heard for that knowledge and potential for growth. 7.) What is my way of doing this? How can I say what I learned in MY VOICE? If nothing changes then nothing changes. Copy who is where you want to be FIRST. Then once you've tried for a significant amount of time their way, find out what actually worked for you. Then modify it for what works for you. 7.5)) You need some meaningful event that reinforces a meaningful work. All this "how to make your life better, mindset improvement, self-help, mind over matter, hustle hustle hustle" talk is not going to get you where you want to be (I was about to say, "will not get you to being a millionaire." but not everyone wants to be that. Or what all these self help gurus call "top 1% of the 1% alpha male etc. etc. This is an exhaustive non-human western way of thinking towards ultimate one mind improvement) Conclusion and reflection: Hustling and burning out suck. Comfort in where you are at in your life, what works for you TRUTHFULLY and growing towards that end goal is endearing to me personally. This was very enlightening. Thank you the both of you.

You really pinpointed my pain points and now I have to really look at my actions and take it into serious consideration. Takeaway from the convo... "Closed Minds Don't Get Fed!" The normal saying is "Closed Mouths Don't Get Fed" but the way I'm seeing it over the past years as I get older. The mind has to be opened at some point or in some fashion to push us or keep us doing something that makes income. If not, we deteriorate just as Chris said and begin to move in reverse. BUT, to truly open our mind, we can morph the thing we do into something robust and lucrative. Awesome Convo as usual. I hate I can't make it to Raleigh to see him later this month. It's interesting how you say, "By recalling the memory, you've changed the memory." I sometimes refer to that as time travel. As we recall the past, we often change things about it, thus altering what really happened. Yes, it's mostly isolated, but ultimately changes the present of that individual.
I have to put this on repeat until It's burned into my brain. What can I do in the next 24 hours? Do a really bang up job on my Futur Accelerator Exit Plan workbook today. I'm tunneling out of the prison that is my jobby job to freedom!

Short so that it is digestible and will take minimal effort to read (respecting people’s time) Add value to stand out and give versus trying to make a sale off of a non-existent relationship.
