@put...Thank you ,could they be the original lyrics.?,or were they translated from English...I'm collecting old Gaelic songs n music...would appreciate info
I wish I knew how to play an instrument. Just watching Sarah play that harp like that (first time I have seen her actually play it) and the other girl too. Just amazes me. Talent is truly handed down. :) Pamela and Randy should be truly proud and Sarah will DEFINITELY add to 2002 even more in the future.
Really enjoy this thank you. Interestingly though the gaelic song seems to have the opposite circumstances to Yeats poem. She wont bid him take love easy in the original and that is the problem.
Wonderful job! Very lovely. Is the "red" harp a Thormahlen Serenade? I have a Thormahlen Serenade and it looks just like yours! Thanks for this video :)
In English, we call the language simply Irish. The Irish word for the language is Gaeilge. You can find Irish lyrics here: omniglot.com/songs/irish/gortnasailean.php. But remember, even though the poet, William Butler Yeats, was Irish himself, he wrote the lyrics in English.
Brian Dixon on closer inspection the tin whistle is a D tuned tin whistle there are generally two types used in irish music the one with the green Reed is the C tuned tin whistle, I may have them backwards.
The plastic whistle head actually has a fipple, not a reed, which would sound differently. And the color will depend more on the particular brand. Oak makes them all with black end pieces. Tony Dixon does all of theirs in black as well. Generation puts a blue end on all whistles with nickel finish, and a red end on all whistles with brass finish, no matter what key.
I have the goose pimples .I'm 67 from Dublin Ireland living in Karlsruhe Germany since 1976 but I'm still Irish

Since I do not understand Gaelic: Are this words sung? There are not from the original poem by Yeats, right? However a wonderful sentence.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?

Lyrics:
s thíos i nGort na Saileán
sea casadh dom mo rún
Ba luath a cos ar féar ann
is ba luaineach a leagan siúil
Sé dúirt sí liom bheith suaimhneach

@@scruffysean3640 ...hey Sean I heard w.b Yeats had no Irish blood?...but had a great Irish spirit, probably the same thing, lol

What kind of flute is that?
Brian Dixon it is a tin whistle not a flute.
Tadhg Barrett thank you!
