    Great video, Ashby, thank you. Another video idea (or maybe in the future plaster cast video) would be how to glue together/consolidating fossils that have broken. What glue is best, etc. Thanks for all the great ideas!

      Hi Jennifer, thanks so much for watching! Great idea on the fossil repair video. I’ll add it to the list!

    These are all great ideas. I need a better storage for my fossils im finding and taking notes as to where you found is a great idea too!!

      Thanks for watching, Heather! Yes, fossil storage, organization, and labeling are all crucial parts of a well-kept collection. In working with the college museum, I’ve heard all too often about family collections donated with ZERO locality data. As mentioned, these fossils suddenly become worthless to scientific study. 😢

      @@CharlestonFossilAdventures that leads me to a question i have for you! Hopfully you see this. How do you determine what is special enough to send off to the museum?

      Thanks! It’s from Melissa Bee Pottery (on Instagram and Etsy under the same name). This bowl was a custom order, but she has loads of shark tooth related products that are equally amazing! 🤩

    What dollar tree did you go to? Being we have so many in the Lowcountry, looks like the one on Folly road but not sure. Not all the same ones carry the same items sadly. We are starting fossil digs in our homeschooling adventures very soon.

      Hi Candice, thanks for watching! Yes, good eye; you nailed it. 😉 If you’re ever looking for some programming, we offer homeschool classes, too! (School Group Adventures on the website.) 😃

    Would you mind sharing where you got the Glyptodont scute and Mammoth foot illustrations next to you? Thanks!

    • @CharlestonFossilAdventures
      @CharlestonFossilAdventures  2 года назад

      Hi Carl, thanks for watching! The glyptodont osteoderm is a watercolor by Dr. Boessenecker at the Mace Brown Museum of Natural History. Prints can be purchased through the contact info listed on their website. And the “Dinoceras mirabile” lithograph I purchased at a Society of Vertebrate Paleontology auction.

    Dude, I do like ehat you are doing here.
    Buuuuuut you know torches are obsolete right? Unless you are about to explore some deep unknown caves and need to ligh an area the size of a football field for 6 hours. For everything else, the torch on your phone works.

      Sorry dude.
      I'm going through some things. Sorry I called you out on the torch.
      My issues are with Big Illumination, not with you.
