Hi SuperNature, thanks for watching! We sure have some incredible sites here in the Lowcountry where we enjoy taking our clients. Some days we can have some pretty incredible hauls, like this trip: EPIC 12 Minutes of Megalodon Shark Tooth Hunting!! (UNCUT!) ruclips.net/video/1aM0Lm1vYzw/видео.html. Hope to see you on a tour one day!!
What a great haul!!! Just found ur channel this am and I am enjoying ur videos! People ask if u could go anywhere where would u go? Some say France, Italy, Ireland… after this video I say -- right there, with u all finding all those teeth!!!
That's awesomeness. I'm a 💯percent beach goer. Growing up going to Westport Washington. My grandpa and his brother's were able to purchase land in Westport Washington. The family's property became a major part of our lives. Had many families come to the area for a family 🫂 reunion 🫂. I, in that many years have never seen a single 🦈 tooth. You have a great eye for them. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️ love the video. Maybe I'll be able to find one now.
Thanks so much! Other than a quick rinse with freshwater, we don’t treat our teeth with anything. On particularly tough specimens, we’ll employ a toothbrush, toothpick, and maybe a little mild soap. What type of locality are the teeth coming from that don’t clean up well for you?
Awesome hunt 👏been watching shark tooth hunting videos and even went to Venice Beach FL no luck with my son I wold love even 1 Meg tooth my 6 year old is crazy about them just like me if you are selling any of these please lmk his birthday is coming up in July and may I can buy some off you
Hi Pat, thanks for watching! We have a great product called Shark Tooth Sand that would be a perfect birthday present for your 6 year old! Batches are in 3 lb increments, and the 12 lb batch is guaranteed to come with a 1.5-2" tooth from the megalodon lineage. You can purchase some on our website, chsfossiladventures.com/shop. We've also just reopened for tours this year, so feel free to browse our different options!
Hi AS, thanks for your comment! The answer is a little more nuanced than others may have you believe… In SC, you do not need a permit to collect along our beaches and shorelines as long as collection happens between low and high tide. The moment you collect from a navigable waterway or beneath the low tide mark, a license is required and no tools are allowed. And as with *any state* you MUST have written permission from the land *owner* to collect on private property. Permission granted from a construction worker is like asking a restaurant employee if you can sell cookies in the parking lot. These rules only apply to SC - they vary state by state.
@@CharlestonFossilAdventures Thank you for answering my question. I really like your videos and it’s really cool how you finds those shark teeth out there. I do have some, but I can’t tell what some of are. I might have to buy your book online. Also I might plan a trip to go to Charleston to find some shark teeth.
Hi Suzanne - great question! Finding productive beaches is all about understanding how the fossil material washes up (or out) onto the beach. Keep your eye out for inactive dredge islands, as these are usually productive if in a locality with the right strata. We talk a bit about this in our Shark Science Week video, so definitely take a look at that one if you haven’t already!
Wow! What great finds!! Sooooo JEALOUS! 💚💚💚

Great hunt!
After a storm, is it always the best time to go shell and shark tooth hunting?

That’s wonderful, thanks for sharing! If you’re ever in Charleston, look us up for a tour and we’ll help you find your first tooth!
2:58 there was a really nice one on the right hand side of your camera view….
Yessssssssssssssssss
“Every get the sense you are being followed” 😅
That little grackle was so curious as to what we were up to! Sadly, it probably is a learned behavior from other visitors feeding the birds...
Boat-tailed Grackle for the bonus!
She was a very good fossiling companion! Unfortunately, her behavior suggests that many people must feed her whenever they visit this beach.
Nice finds! Do you put anything on your teeth to make them good? I cleaned mine and the still look dirty and dull.

Do you license or a permit for finding shark teeth?
I ask other RUclipsrs and they said no you don’t need one.

Are there specific beaches that are better for bigger teeth

Charleston Fossil Adventures, LLC I live in Vero Beach, FL. Can you explain what an inactive dredge island is?
Basically these are spots where sediment was pumped up onto the beach from another area.
Charleston Fossil Adventures, LLC We have spoils islands all over the inter coastal here in Vero Beach.
