I like this take of doing a bit of bargello in square units. Not sure if I would mix up the blocks or do the matching. I am putting together some projects to sew quilt tops while aI live with my daughter for about 5 months. Only me, my babylock grace and clothes can go with me. Rest in storage. So if I put together about 10 tops to do, that will keep me going until I pirchase my mobile home in a 55+ community. Then I will actually have a whole room to be my sewing room. Woohoo thanks for the tutorial. Amazing as usual.

Hi Alice! Since we used a roll of 2.5" strips it does make it a bit more scrappy looking. If you wanted to keep them all cascading instead of the one row, you can choose specific fabrics to use instead of a roll. I hope this helps!

Great quilt! I would recommend that you use a bold color thread for sewing, so you can see the stitches for picking. This design would also work with left over strips that you have from jelly rolls for a scrappy look. One could use "Grid Printed Fusible Interfacing" whereby you place the squares on the fusible interfacing web and sew rows horizontal and then vertical with only having to pick a few stitches on each row. If you don't want to place out the entire quilt top you could cut the fusible interfacing web by block size.

Good morning Jenny, I watch so many videos of yours. I purchased your block magazine for the early fall, I have been working so hard on my quilting that I am now designing my own quilts and free motioning them. I started a year ago this past February. you can say your videos have made me addicted. My question is. I want to find pages that I can arrange my block with color and figure out how many block and sashing I will need. How do I go about designing these blocks? I am working on a wonky nine patch and I truly do not want to have to come up with my own grid design. Can you help?

The blocks you make in the TUTORIALS what do you do with them? Do they ever get made into a quilt top.?

A lot of the time they are used in Jenny's trunk shows to show how they are made.

You say to nest the seams together, that's with seam allowances going in opposite directions, right? But we had already pressed them all in the same direction...

I love watching you teach and sew. I also like your honesty about making a mistake.

Jenny! That what my mother and grandmother called me Lila van. Shoot my sister even named her dog Lilla Van. How funny.
Love the quilt and thank you for technique.

Your tutorials are the best. I've followed a few with success. Currently working on a TN Waltz and it's turned into a nightmare. I want to set on fire. My point, your tutorials specific and are the easiest to follow. I believe I will limit all future quilts to one's that you showcase in order to preserve my sanity!

Would this work using a honey bun? If so, would you use the same number of strips in each set? Thank you
