- Arcade1Up Pac-Man Oreo Collab? It's Not What You Think! A picture recently showed up online of a new Arcade1Up Cab that looked to be a collaboration between the Company and Oreo Cookies. With fans desperate for news on new products, fas are disappointed by this ews but it isn't what they think

Silly, they can easily blow out 500 limited edition oreo collab cabinets. I would buy one. Not cause I need another pacman. But I like rare stuff. you're right We need new products.👍
They have done contest cabs plenty of times. My favorite was the 7-11 cab. All the commotion is coming from the fact that its the first arcade cab we see from them in a while and its This lol But atleast its something other than infinity game table if you wanna look on the bright side. I would buy a BAPE cab. Hope it happens.

I wanted more Pac Man and 1UP has delivered! I hope for more variations of Pac-Man for the remainder of the year. I cannot get enough Pac Man! Now with Pac-Man Oreos and this collaboration cabinet, I can eat sleep (if I huff the package of Oreos) I can breathe and play more Pac Man! Bring on the Pac-Man reskins! We can't let those 12-1 Pac-Man PCBs sit on the 1UP shelf! We have to do our part and buy More Pac-Man reskins! You can never get enough Pac-Man! Oh, the HuPacManity of this situation! Help John D! Help! Hire us! Lets make some real home arcades the masses want! : )

Actually, it IS what we think: a collab cab (like you noted at the 6:33 mark)... just one that happens to be a contest price. And no one said this was going into production as a regular cab, at least that I know (though it would still take resources to create, and I think that's the point). But hey, if Arcade1Up wants to change the narrative or Cyrus wants to tell us what he IS responsible for, by all means, we'd be happy if they finally started talking.
How many of these Oreo Pac-Man cabs did they make?
Agree that it would nice to get some actual new Arcade1Up news so all the rumors can be put to rest one way or another. I’d love to see a new cab at this point, even if it’s just a rehash in an XL form factor.
Thanks for the peek at the A1U unit, Mike. I was able to get my hands on one of those My Arcade Oreo/Pac-Man Nano players you briefly pointed out in the publicity material. Did a quick vid on it if you have interest in seeing what it's like.

I heard about the MyArcade version of this collaboration, I understand it's just a stock cab with a different decal set. so gonna guess the A1up version is the same deal. I mean would it have been hard to graphics hack OREOs into the game somewhere? also I guess this promo was a UK exclusive thing as far as I'm aware.

I'm just glad A1UP was able to find a new way to package and sell Pac Man, it's what the community has been clambering for. I've held off this long, but now that there's Oreo branding... son of a bitch I'm in!

To be fair, I think it is exactly what we all think it is. This is like the partnership with 7-11 that Cyrus mentions on his list of accomplishments. Its a special edition pac-man that Oreo will be giving away in a contest.... in the UK. #VanillaIsBetter

@@MichaelBtheGameGenie Totally agree. Its just fun to poke them for spending time on these kinds of deals... like I said, its identical to the 7-11 pac-man contest, and as you noted the pizza hut one... I must have missed that one. Here I thought a pizza hut TMNT cab would make more sense.
@@JamesHatesEverything Exactly the point... whether it's Pizza Hut, 7-11, or Oreo, these partnerships ALL take resources to create (no matter how small). And in lieu of announcements about REAL cabinets they're making, it all seems like a distraction.

I love branded merchandise. I buy stuff just because it says Coca-Cola on it all the time even when the actual product has nothing to do with Coca-Cola or soda in general.
I think this is a win for Arcade 1Up. It’s great advertisement and gets people thinking about buying home arcade games
