- Sometimes you need some luck in your life right? VW queued Over-The-Autohaus 3.2 for the first week of may and I had an appointment for the second week of may for a workshop install of 3.0.
And now we are here. ITS DONE! I HAVE Software 3.X on my CAR! About TIME!
This is the start of a series of videos about 3.2 and stuff coming with 3.0 which I didnt have yet.. and like most of you guys may even FORGOT what was in these updates. 3.0 was announced in Q4 2021! 1.5 years ago! Sidenote: don't have the production speed since AB (After Baby). It was such an obligationless life in BB (Before Baby). Trying my best to que the videos, but it will take longer time to pump these videos then normally you would expect from me.

It’s far and away better than 2.3 even.
People in North America have noticed an apparent increase in efficiency with the update from 2.1 to 3.1. It is a little hard to quantify because we started getting our updates right as the temperatures really warmed up, but I can now get >4.0miles/kWh whereas before I don't recall ever seeing much more than 3.5. Then again, with the old software, the efficiency wasn't shown on the little screen, so it was a little harder to keep an eye on. We never had 2.3/2.4 either, so we can't really say when this might have been introduced.
Got beter with 2.3, but 3.1/2 adds another efficiency because the drivemotor and other stuff got updated. It got better yes
He Furkan, My ID.4 1st max is of the same production slot (Dutch 1st without AHK, dec '21), does work 3.2 flawless now (my car is still on 2.4, update planned for end June)? Curious to see your coming videos and enjoy the time with your wife and your baby, way more important than producing videos. Thanks!!!
First impressions are really good. How good? No laggy CarPlay. Fluid and fast. Normal infotainment has the initial loading waiting for assets to load but after that its flying
Hi Furkan, thanks for this video and all your others. I just got my 3.2 update on my ID.4 1st edition. There was a update today so now I can get into the shop, but no items ;) I have a question for you. Not sure if you have a 1st. edition but I think you do. Can you see Park Assist Plus with the new update? I can't see at all, not sure if it's not coming to the 1st edition. Thanks
It wont come to your car because you are missing the side USS sensors on the wheelarches. I dont have it too ;)

When I get a moment, I am going to compare the module versions that you have in 3.2 with the module versions that we got in North America when we got 3.1.
I was looking over the numbers last night, and it was a bit confusing. For some modules, we have the same versions, which isn't surprising. For some modules, you have a slightly newer version. And for some modules our version number is higher than yours, which makes no sense to me. I will try and condense it down and then post an image on your discord.
Reason: Region depended versions + HW depended versions (different suppliers)
So what's going on with the software I got the 3.0 after the battery swap, are they doing any ota anymore
Factory 3.0 gets ota, others must go through dealer even if you got 3.0 through ota/dealer
Do the id.4 already at 3.0 will be updated to 3.2 by OTA ?
The idea of update 3.2 is as follow:
Factory 3.0 and up = OTA, ETA Unknown
Factory 2.3 and lower = dealer. Also yes if you got 3.0 through OTA/Dealer
Any news for bidirectional charging port?

How do i get the update, i have the car , i live in Ethiopia and there are no dealers here to do so
Chinese car(guessing here) needs chinese software. Sadly not global

Iḿ really looking forward to my OTAutohaus 2.4 -> 3.x update end of this month for my ID3.
One short question. How long does it take to set up the "user account" stuff after you got your car back.
is it something time wise to do on the parking spot of the dealer, somewhere in the evening quick or do you recommend to wait for the weekend to take some needed time?

Its just scanning a QR code with your we connect account. Max 5 mins, current has some backend issues. Hopefully fixed by then
