I wasn't even looking for this, but my new to me 95 mazda b2300 just passed inspection but has a steering wheel that has more play than what feels good. I didn't know that steering gearboxes had backlash adjusters. It was not so much lose, as that it had no feedback/resistance at center...making the steering feel at center very vague. I adjusted it as stated (a good 2 full turns) and it feels much better now.

Thank you for the video. I have been having those issues on my power steering of my 1995 Ford ranger. I'll be replacing all tierods, inspecting all other components. Then adjust steering.

You mentioned to inspect the Suspension Components and make sure they are in GOOD shape. Can you give us details WHAT to look for when inspecting them and when you suspect the Suspension Components are NOT in good shape?
ball joints, outer tie rods, inner tie rods, center link and pitman arm, any play in those and they're not in good shape, last but not least wheel bearings, they can have play if there's no preload on them.
You should post a video on taking out the gear box 👍🏾
