Great palette that demonstrates how well colors from Benjamin Moore's different color collections can harmonize together. Linen White was a great starting point!
Just painted our Living Room Linen White and the trim and doors in a contrast (darker) trim of Ladyfinger (a sandy color as accent on doors baseboards, window trim). The room looks sensational and it just glows. This is a North facing room, and so Linen White has more body to it, and much better than a stark white for this room.

By coincidence, my office space (in my apt) is linen white and the ceiling, beginning with the holding and on up, is mountain peak white. this combination is so warm adn wonderful, that I plan to paint the living room and hallway (currently white dove) with these colors. plus I plan to repaint the furni9ture in the office with linen white. linen white is geat if you love warm colors. Thanks for an interesting and informative presentation to a non-professional but very involved home designer (for my own homes that is)

Linen White was known for many years as a decorator's default color when their clients couldn't make up their minds, so that they wouldn't be left with plain white walls. I think Simply White is used in a similar way today. Mountain Peak White has been my go-to trim and ceiling color thru my last two houses bc like you said, it's definitely white but easy on the eyes. Not glaring at all. I love the CSP's so always happy to see any discussion of those. :)

My house just doesn't get enough natural light for the less than true (non blue- non gray) whites or the pretty but darker greens.

Linen white looked like a dirty white to me until I saw it with the aganthus green you used. I really liked that!! And green is my favorite color too!

Hi James, I am curious why the trim color is always another color than the wall color. I am thinking of painting my whole house simply white in matte, will it look bad if I paint the trim the same color ?
James often says you can use the same colour, but still use a trim paint for the trim, not matte.

Mellow. Comfortable. Not grey. I could make it through winter with these.
I highly recommend linen white. during the day it is very soft and pretty, and at night it feels like candlelight. Its just so pretty, and yes, it would be uplifting and warm (mellow and comfortable) during the winter. I just love it.
Why not add something else that isn't blah neutral like a blue, yellow,green,or rose as trim?
It seems that the color palettes are for people who are never planning on living in the home to have their personalities, or or just plan of changing furniture every couple of years. Not raise a family in the house. Like you children's room should be linen, white, beige, or grey.
