Did coast 2 coast in 2013 we went to the center of the universe in Southern California worst road in America. Bisbee AZ . The Texas route looks familiar I didn’t go to Austin. 19 days across Texas.
How do you stay on course. Do you have a map or do sighns say where the bike course goes? Does the path go through cities and neighborhoods, or were those detours?
I used the maps from Adventure Cycling. I carried the paper maps but 95% of the time I used their app “Bicycle Route Navigator”. The route has been travelled by many cyclists who provide feedback to keep it up to date to reflect your safest options and avoid known road outages.
Great video tour! When we did this stretch, we went from Del Rio through San Antonio. I won the Alamo photo contest. Great memories.
I have ridden this section but east to west. Thanks for the great video and being able to relive the adventure ;
Wishing you and Dave smooth roads as the journey continues!
Marshall - many thanks, enjoying your adventures. What stamina.
I'm jealous! TOTL! Thanks for sharing😇
This is gold! Thanks Marshall!
Wonderful tribute to your classmates Marshall. Keep on peddling!

Marshall, just curious. How did you know you needed a new cassette?
The teeth were worn and it kept slipping out of gear. Derailleur adjustments no longer fixed it.
