👍Hey, Spike! Your articles really helped me do lots of repairs & upgrades to our first house! This project will be just for FUN -- for a change! Thanks for all your help over the years! ✌️😎
Nice video! Your video helped inspire to make a Leopold bench a couple weeks ago. I still need to stain and add some spar urethane. I prefer using untreated wood for furniture projects.
You all prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the account password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Eduardo Omar i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Because the instructions aren't good. He didn't allow for the kerf of the saw blade when marking out his legs, so three out of the four of them are going to be too short. Using screws to join the legs together is... iffy, even with construction adhesive. Bolts would be better. And finally, he didn't bevel the back of the long legs before putting the back stretcher on, so it's going to be angled backward, causing it to dig into your back and/or promote really uncomfortable posture.
@@Legman688 I built one like this out of heavy, rough cut, lumber. I weigh 250 lbs. It's kept outdoors in North Dakota, and works excellently. Just screws and glue -- old lumber reclaimed from the floor of my cattle trailer.
I'm so excited to start on this project. I've got all my materials together except one. I am a newbie at wood projects, so could someone tell me how much stain I would need to purchase to cover this bench? Thanks!
What is the cut list? I have another video that uses 4 (2x8x8) for a larger bench.. this one seems to use smaller dimensional lumber but u lost me on the x12 seat board. I did the math on this vs the 4 (2x8x8) vs your (2x8x10 and 2x6x12) the your bench is about $10 less but doesnt have as deep of seating for me. I am all for going to the basics but for $10 more per bench i can make a modifiied one that seats 3 properly
how tall is the seat with these dimensions? If I wanted a taller back can I just go with a longer, Long board 33 incher or would you up size the hole thing?
Don't use treated wood for the seat...who wants to sit on a toxic piece of wood. The whistling music is extremely distracting but appreciate your effort
Great video, Spike. I used it to build two benches so far with more on the way. Also, lots of comments referencing the Woodprix site. I looked it up, and there are numerous warnings on the web saying Woodprix and Ted's is a scam. Just thought I'd share that...
I wish I would have watched this video first before I cut my wood. Your video is perfect
This is one of the clearer videos I've seen on this bench. Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks
I've been looking for a quick and easy bench. This looks perfect.

@Eduardo Omar It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my account !
@Aries Skylar you are welcome =)
Why 8 dislikes for this simple and nice project ?

But, nice work. I did learn something.
We are going to make a few of these for out by the fire pit.
Very nice and thank you for the details and instructions for it. Thank you
love the bench.
Brilliant - I am definitely going to have ago at building one of these - thank you!
Thank you! One thing I'm missing out is the rounded edge bench seat - where did you get it from?
Great video!!! thank you for sharing!!
Don't mark up all your cuts in one as the saw cuts a few millimetres out in each cut so mark after each cut.
In this case it doesn't matter.
Adhesive is optional.

the smallest tin they sell. which these days not very small, but the cheapest.

do you have a cut list and written direction somewhere to print off?
What does ' ' mean?
@@GottaWannaDance A term of art known only to the masters, perhaps...?.🤔✌️😎

Thank you for idiot proofing it! I always have issues with the degrees and uou showed close enuf do I understood! Thank you
Should you haven’t already, google Hyezmar’s plans collection, it’s a draft of one great woodworking book full of projects. Have an epic week!
Keep promoting the SCAM, scumbag!
I didn't hear the length of the bench.
I think he said the top back piece was 39 inches -- which would make the seat 36 inches. Cozy.
Thank you.
When I cut my short legs at 30 degrees, the are now only 11.5 high,?
Whoops! Back to the lumber yard! Happens.....🤷♂️
i made it*

Sure, probably more dangerous than driving a truck or heating a house with combustion!

Go to woodprix if you'd like to build it yourself.
My works too. Used woodprix handbooks and build it with no problems.
I check a lot of woodworking handbooks. These one from woodprix are the best.
I am sure you can still buy handbook with all info you need on woodprix. Just google it.
This time I'll use woodprix instructions to make it by myself.
All of my woodworks I am making with woodprix. Google and try it.
