The guy looks 100 percent better with his hair shorter. I had a procedure done in the 80’s and I am scarred for life. With newer technology you don’t see the horrors that were done in the 70’s and 80’s but I still do not recommend this surgery until you are over 35. At that point you can see the hair loss pattern better and I don’t care what any doctor says but your donor area can thin just like the front because it happened to me.

why are people so late on this procedure lol. It's been around for a very long time! The hair plugs of yesterday are long gone, thank god. I've been waiting to get this since I was about 24. No shame here, but I've always had long hair since before it started to come out. And when I noticed my hair going thin up top in which a friend told me, I didn't even know myself. I ended up cutting it all off and wearing it short. That worked for a while but as I got older it got thinner and thinner to the point that you can tell. And I've never truly felt fully comfortable and confident with short hair. Luckily mine still isn't as bad as labron or tory so it shouldn't be much to deal with when the time comes.

@@remix2die4 it’s something the docs and techs can see with their eyes. You can see if you got a cross section of a follicle and actually cut into the “root”. The more they do it the better they are at gaging the curl of the hair and working the punch so to get it at the right direction.
Sounds like your doctor was not experienced enough to tell you the whole story. Just because HE can’t do it, doesn’t mean other people can’t.

I was surprised you didn't say that further hair loss progression was the problem in that photo. When he got the procedure he had most of that hair. Yes! It's so annoying to see girls w/ BBL's CONSTANTLY advertising their body....yet pretend as if it's natural.
Even tho I know it's not, lots of others DO NOT and it creates unrealistic expectations and false hope for many whom think "oh if I just drink skinny tea, I'll look like that" or "well if she has 6 kids and has a body like that, then my wife that had 2 kids should be able to look just as good if not BETTER"--or "oh wow she had triplets and 2 single births and her body looks like that? Wow, I only had 1 premie & 1 full term baby, and I look NOTHING like that! I need to spend MORE time drinking skinny tea and/or working out so that I can look like that!"
It's like, there's nothing wrong with surgery or flaunting your body. Just be honest about your body building, just as fitness models & trainers do; if your entire social media presence is based on your physical appearance!
It's like, if you're not ashamed of it--why flaunt it and then, lie?

What people don't understand is that hair transplant surgery does not stop further hair loss. So not only may you continue to lose hair, but the "new hairs" are also susceptible to the same imbalances on the scalp that cause follicles to shrink/become dormant to begin with. Pharmacological intervention (Finasteride) is a must to prevent further loss. Throw some anti-androgen shampoo and micro-needling into the mix, and significant regrowth is possible as well. Allogeneic alopecia is reversible given the proper effort and intervention.

I find it interesting that you only commented on the transplant focusing on the hairline & not on the top, which is why his hair appears that way in the photo. My opinion (I'm not a professional, but I have had a transplant myself) is that Tory has very aggressive hair loss, & he got his transplant to early. The transplant effectively fixed his hairline, which at the time was his issue, so obviously they only placed grafts in that one area. However, over time he has continued to lose hair which has created this island on the top. If he had waited until his hairloss has stabilised (which would have meant enduring the baldness for a few more years) then I think the surgeon would have definitely put grafts on the top too. As it is, he's definitely going to need another transplant. I think he could have prevented this with Finasteride after his transplant, which would have rapidly slowed further hair loss. As it looks, I dont think Tory takes any further methods to prevent his hair loss.
