This huge jump back to these legendary games so much support and now even remaking them for the better brought me back playing these games and having fun xD its awesome, feels like they are being supporter by EA devs when they are just by other people
So, we can already play NFS MW for a few years on our phones, we have a GameCube/Wii emulator (Dolphin emulator), PS2 emulator (AetherSX2) and 32bit windows emulator (Exagear) for Android phones, so we can play without any problems. But running natively is much better and even more so if it's this project.
I love the way they are remaking the old nfs games. The way you describe it, makes it sound parallel to restoring an old car. Its quite fitting that this the way nfs games remade.
Finished NFSMW 2005 40 times by now and everytime i play again it feels as fresh as it was in 2005, i use Fired Up as phone ringtone from 2005 :D and using same paintjob on the Cobalt (repeated a race untill i got all details of an opponent Cobalt and replicated it ) , and posted a full walktrough on my channel :P
It was a lot of shit about Most Wanted that I didn’t like… the story/career mode was too dragged out with filler races & bounties, & I was never a fan of daytime street racing games. Gameplay was definitely as good as it gets tho.
I love how the graphics is the same just hope they add new cars into it and yes modding in NFS MW 2005 is headache it's not just a long process but all of your progress gets destroyed (atleast for me)
I hope they include cars that didn't make it to the final game or cars from Carbon, like the 240SX, 350z, Skyline R34, MR2, M3, M3 CSL and/or the M3 GTR Street ver. for customization, also the Camaro SS, Charger, Plymouth Cuda, etc.
So Zonjiki, I know that your last nickname is Dorifto and you're such a Initial D fanboy (lol). But I hope you're also interested in the highway duel sub-genre. I highly suggest you to cover about Night Runners. It's a totally original project, inspired by highway duel games and media, such as Wangan Midnight (the other racing manga series other than Initial D) and Tokyo Xtreme Racer series. It stylizes itself with a heavy Japanese 90s atmosphere and also some of those NFS Underground vibes too. I just think it also deserves to be known by racing game fans. Cheers :)
Piss filter, I like that but I also deactivated it which was overbright and visual treatment then Most Wanted had a realistic colorful look. I'm not a casual gamer though, I've been played NFS since the beginning. It would be funny and cool if they Remastered High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed too. Pro Street was actually a good game it just didn't feel like a NFS game per se.
Remasters of the old games would be super nice. I just thunk they would look super weird, if you only upped the graphics since all the old games have very simple courses.
This is so amazing ! Do you have anymore information on the carbon remake ? Carbon is my favorite nfs game ever and I’d love to see a similar thing with quality of life improvements and fixes

My advice to the Devs for mobile is to make sure the Xbox or PlayStation controllers work with mobile. There are far to few racing games on Android and iOS that don't have basic controller support. Need for Speed Most Wanted re-boot was released on mobile and you've to use a specific controller for it. If they make it fully compatible with controllers OMG it will be the best selling mobile racing game.
Problem is that they have to release it for free, otherwise it's a copyright violation technically, so the legal ground for these remakes has to be treaded lightly to avoid ea lawsuits as they have a obligation legally to protect their interectural property

The graphics are so much improved, the lighting, the textures, even through the small mobile screen I can still feel it
Of course, it still is an improvement, but that's an improvement thanks to the game engine, the devs haven't changed anything

The only thing that could make this perfect is if the visual quality (when the yellow filter is off) can be as good as MW12

they will be supported as long as the controller you're using can be used with Unity on mobile
