the hockey smell and running shoe smell is so relateable. Havent smelled that smell from hockey until a few months ago when I was training for an ultra
Joel Sherman I started working out again recently and I smelled the “hockey smell” from my shirt after it dried with sweat. It’s so nasty, but it brought back so many memories.
iCholz lmao i run less of a distance at a slower pace man 😂😂 i'll run like 5.5 at 9:25 or so i'm trying to transition from short fast runs to nice long ones but not that slow a pace per mile
Just started watching your videos recently and have been binge watching them for the past few weeks.. Awesome stuff and very inspiring ! Big Fan from UK
You can build a rotation of running shoes so that the foam 'rests and recovers' between the different days that you use them plus it will seem like they last longer.
I can never click fast enough when a video gets uploaded lol I still rock my Go One More wristband,as well as take my Strong Greens, multivitamin and Cinnamon Roll whey protein every single day...you've also inspired me to start running everyday. Having a puppy in the video doesn't hurt either lmao
Because of your running journey i started to run again. I am 19 but when i was younger i ran almost every day. I played football since i was 7 and started on the track and field team as soon as i could. But starting when i was 13 i had 3 injuries in a row. I tore my LCL in a football practice. Next i tore my ACL. Then i tore my bicep. After those i stopped running and started to work out a lot. I was 16 and was 5’8 155. I was lean and had some decent muscle. when i was 17 i got diagnosed with a blood disorder and could no longer play football do to a fear of a serious head injury. I got very depressed and was now about 190/195 and fat as hell. So i started running and working out again and was down to 175-178 and then i tore ligaments in my ankle. Like clock work i was back up to 187-189. I didn’t work out or run for six months but i am dieting and working out and running. And the the corona hits and i can’t go to the gym. But i am running about 25 miles a week now and have already lost 6 pounds in this quarantine. Thanks for getting my ass back out onto the track.
America looks like such a cool place to live. If you work hard and smart, you can achieve pretty much anything there. I have no idea why some people think that it's not greatest country in the world. So jealous!
@@lsher26 I wasn't able to go to Austin due to work, but I actually did my first marathon earlier. I completed the new years double in Allen, TX January first. 5:20:00(estimated) no way but to work up from here on out!!.
@@Justinsharpdiscussion that's great to hear and it's some good motivation, sorry about Austin but I'm glad it worked out in the end. I'm running my first marathon in October and it's good to hear some success stories to keep my motivation up. Thank you
I am just getting back into running. I am in the beginning stages of getting my body back to marathon shape. I have about 25 more pounds to lose. Right now I am running about 5 miles at 9:30 pace. I walk 1 mile before and 1 mile after. Once I get my pace to sub 8 then my distance will increase and I will start doing 6 mile runs and on the weekends 8 mile runs. I plan to start doing that in march.
@@tiggie_96 Well, I lost all 25 pounds before my wedding last October. Then there was Thanksgiving, Honeymoon, Christmas and New Year. To say I fell off the wagon is an understatement. I gained 24 pounds back. Soooo, I am back to my running. At a minimum I am a 5k a day. Mostly, I am running 4 and walking 1. Every other day I am back in they gym breaking out all the old moves from my years of personal training......Also, I appreciate your follow up on this. That is pretty damn cool.
Nick, massage your kale with lemon and olive oil a couple of hours before before you make that salad. Keep in the fridge. Game changer. It’s how the restaurants do it.
"bon appetit", ahah what a nice way to end a video, keep doint your stuff, you are the most inspiring guy on the internet. Love your contents, welcome from France
I’ve been running Hoka Cliftons and it seems like they are wearing out quick. I’m thinking of giving the Rincon a try. Have you bumped into the dudes from Atreyu? Their product looks good. Keep it up man!
Hey Nick just wanted to let you know your a huge inspiration for me. I’m in the Marine corps and just started a RUclips channel and I’m also planning on going to IUP when I get out!
Former hockey player here. I relate so much to that stench! My running shoes smell so bad and now I know what they smell like! 🤣🤣 Keep up the great work.
I make a *super* similar kale salad, except I use pepitas and/or sunflower seeds in place of the cashews. For the dressing I add in a couple tablespoons of Dijon Mustard instead of syrup. I'm gonna have to try this variation though - it looks really good.
Try the hoka Clifton 6s.the Rincon is known to wear down very quick on street/pavement. It's less stable and said to be more of a workout shoe with some trail runs. Try the Cliftons!
Thank you so much Nick, your channel is just amazing. Always love to watch you as a person and a runner. What is your heart rate after these runs (during the day)?
It’s insane I’ve been watching your videos for a little 3 years now and had no idea your warehouse is literally right down the road from where I live. Are we allowed to stop by and purchase supplements or do you do strictly online orders?
For anybody reading this, he's not joking about the strong greens/reds and the strong joints/multi being the best morning stack. I've been taking it for about a month now and no bullshit I feel great. I also have talked to a few people that are in the supplement industry and they said that BPN is definitely up there for quality ingredients. No bullshit.
Hey, Nick why don’t you try a virtual marathon to qualify for Boston? When I ran the Phoenix marathon this year they offered it for us under special circumstances

Charlie KP maybe something like because they are only soluable in fat, and he doesn't have a lot of fat it goes to the kidneys but again because he drinks so much water it doesn't affect him ? that's my best guess and i could be talking nonsense...what do you think?
@@masonburton7676 Don't know what dosage of fat soluble vitamins are in those tablets, but I don't think him being lean will have any effect on vitamin storage. Or likely he just hasn't been taking a high enough dose for long enough that it has accumulated in his fat to cause toxicity, should be careful of that though!
why the 4 capsules of vitamins...? surely 1 capsule should be designed to meet your daily dosage? plus you just sank strong reds and greens.... 'upsell'?
I saw this question earlier and I’m sure that’s just what he texted his training schedule but I’m sure it varies person-to-person but I suggest going based off of the capsule recommendation dosage says

How do you maintain muscle mass/build lean muscle while running at high volumes?
Lift and eat...

look into getting an O-Zone machine, helps disinfect and and helps with the smell, used them for my football equipment
