The wing Chun guy DID use his chi to damaged the MMA guys internal organs. Just wait and see. In about 40-50 years from now the damage will take effect. When MMA guy dies when he's in his 80s-90s, it will probably be from some type of internal organ failure. That = proof that Chi energy is REAL! 😁 BTW, I know how to perform the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique. In order for it to work, you have to smoke a 4-5 packs of cigarettes per day, do a lot of coke, eat a shitload of trans-fat & cholesterol, & not exercise at all. It takes my technique approximately 20-30 years to work, but eventually it will stop your heart.

How true! This is a nice guy but with obviously no skill and experience in any real fighting. He's not a "Master" at all, but a little guy with some basic wingchun background. My wingchun trainer back then had a black belt in Karate and JiuJitsu and some experience in Kick-/Thaiboxing, so we understood the importance of sparring. Meeting an MMA athlet, who nowadays ist a Pro-Fighter (full-time), is quite hard for some part-time martial artist. It takes a lot of extra training and getting used to the full-contact reality. This enviroment is a surprise for guys like him, who only seem to train no- or semi-contact.

I don't think that beeing out weight by an opponent should be an excuse for an wing chun guy. When was learning wing chun, I was told that you can take on any opponent regardless their statue and mass... poor little me XD.
Wing chun people are always proud of the heritage. A small woman developed a way of fighting bigger opponents to defend herself.
Now i learned my lesson. From nothing will come nothing. To be efficent, body and technique must be developed simultaneously. Good physic, propoer techniques and the whole thing gers better. And you should learn the real deal. In that case, simple is better. Learn how to hit someone the right way, propoer boxing and a good foundation of wrestling. Then, if you like you can take some parts of traditional stuff in addition.

Body size should not have been a disadvantage to wing chun guy, because XX is overweight and not especially athletic. Wing Chun guy has a more optimal bodytype for a striking dominant fighting style. Plus the whole point of wing chun was that it was invented by a petite chinese woman, so its for a smaller person to be able to fight a larger person in a very efficient way, with small movements and no athletically challenging positions. So this was the perfect way to demonstrate it. Wing Chun guy didnt have to win, just look like he could defend himself. And impose some effect with those chain punches and hand trapping.
I dont think the concepts in wing chun are useless, but the people who train it seem to be. The techniques could be extremely effective whenever an opponent attempts to tie up/clinch in MMA. It would not work with boxing gloves but it should work with barehands or mma gloves.
If it doesn't work from any wing chun practitioner, it means the techniques need to be improved. But the concept is pretty sound.

Have to disagree with you there. The center line is a concept in many martial arts. Wing Chun's stance is unnatural and weak. The striking technique is incapable of generating enough power. It's an all-around flawed system and should be dropped.

Yes, the match was rigged. They decided it was a tie instead of a win for Xu Xiao Dong. No right to come out with that excuse. Also take into account that Xu is not by a long shot the best MMA fighter.

I think is that we’re both the same size and the Wing Chun had some Heavy sparring experience he would have lasted longer due to him being used to using WC while having an adrenaline rush. Also the WC guy wants to do some conditioning on his hands so his punches do higher damage like punch a tree with medium power about twice a week for 10 minutes, will surely help him.

Excuses, excuses! You may have been scared or nervous etc. We're not there to see what he meant, it might have been environmentally ridged. But regardless, you ain't have a sec to THINK of your move or hear your coach (which was demolished by the one-armed boxer) cause oppps "down you go". So continue your excuses. Im glad I wasn't the reporter, couldn't keep a straight face.

This guy could possibly have a point. I don't know if the Feng Shui was rigged to help Xu, but if it was, then he could have a point. One way to find out. Have a rematch and let him decide when the Feng Shui is correct. Let have his coach as well.

even having the same body mass wont really amount to anything , coz I've seen smaller guys beating bigger guys. So the reason for his lost was: 1) lack of power, 2) no balance of weight, 3) lack of practice or spar, 4) dont know how to block = his technique SUCK !!!

  • @MarcPhilipGoodman
    @MarcPhilipGoodman 2 года назад

He was outclassed and out skilled. The punches he threw don’t look like they are maximizing any leverage or power, they just look like extensions of the triceps muscles, which are very light weight, and at worst all they could do is maybe sting a little, but any trained fighter wouldn’t even flinch from some of those punches…

Traditional martial art is about self-confidence and self-control, its the ability to stay calm in most situations . This guy's ego certainly knows no bounds, humility doesn't seem to be in his vocabulary.
Wing-Chun was never really intended as a sport, at the end of the day its the person that matters not really the style or school they come from. If anything this guy should learn from his mistakes if he wants to get better.

I do agree that weight class is huge. MMA has weight class for a clear reason. if a higher weight class came down to beat a lower weight champion that doesn’t disqualify the champion. Still, had he known this he’d never agree to such a match. It shows ignorance or hubris.

THis man's excuse reminds me of when Emin Boztepe fought William Cheung years ago. William Cheung was a self-titled Grandmaster in Wing Chun and Emin was a student instructor from a rival Wing Chun school whom WIlliam used to belong to. There was some sort of spat between Will and the other school, so one day Emin was sent to challenge Will at a seminar he was running. Only a brief few seconds of the fight was filmed. Now Emin was a young man who besides his Wing Chun training, had done some wrestling in school. William was 46 years old and Emin ragdolled him on the ground and basically man handled him like a child. To anyone who has seen the footage, it's clear as day that William was absolutely dominated by Emin with about as much Wing Chun being shown as there is water in whole Sahara. William later went on to claim in an interview with some Kung fu magazine that he was winning the fight in the standup but because he was wearing kung fu shoes with no grip, he slipped and fell but claimed he survived Emin's onslaught on the ground and footage that was leaked doesn't show the full fight and that really, he was winning the whole time till he slipped.
