I am a fan of how the W202 and I am reminded of the W202 reviewed by Jeremy Clarkson in 1993 (though that was the base model manual with rolling windows lol). Easy to maintain unless you get last of series 94/95 eco engine loom, throttle body and all wires going into the diagnostic port and fuse box primarily in the first E Classed badged ones E220, E320, they are getting old now and most require complete suspension rebuilds and the cats are working at there limits by now, I have a 94 E320 Coupe great car easy to work on but lots needs doing on them now even low km ones as plastics and seals deteriorate with age, most 5 speeds mated to the M104 engines have either been rebuilt or need it, great cars well built but expensive to maintain sometimes and btw never use aftermarket brand URO parts on a Benz unless you want to replace the part again in six months.

@@KyleLiongCars yes that's right, the E50 W210 with the M119 engine was only intended for the German market and only 2960 units were built. The E50 was also the first model that was completely assembled in Affalterbach, the C36 was delivered completely as a C280 and then dismantled. While your comments about the C36 being the "first" collaboration are true, if you state it as "first collaboration for the US market". But in reality, the truth is a bit different, as you seem to have been going off propaganda spread by Mercedes itself. The first true collaboration between Mercedes and AMG occurred with the 1992 190E 3.2l, followed by the 1992 300E 3.2l. These were fully built cars you could purchased directly through select European Mercedes dealers. Very nice glossy literature was also available as hand outs to customers. These cars deviated from the former model, which was a ala-cart system allowing customers to order a new Mercedes, pick and choose the AMG options and these options would be installed at AMG before the new car was delivered. Also in 1992, these ala-carte options were encoded into the VIN. The ala-carte program was available previous to 1992 but the options were not encoded into the VIN.
