Before Marvel got the rights back to the Fantastic Four franchise, Fox kept taking cracks at Marvel’s first family, hoping for a beloved hit. That’s not exactly how it played out. 2005’s Fantastic Four starring Chris Evans and Jessica Alba brought fans a super campy movie that certainly raised a lot of questions. Like why don’t any of these characters act like humans? Why does Doctor Doom even want to kill these guys? What was everybody doing up in space? Why exactly did Sue have to undress on that bridge? Why did Ben switch back to The Thing?

@@kriss3907 It tracks with how everyone else experiences their powers. Richards gets a bit stretchy without meaning too, Thing breaks stuff all the time, and Sue can't control when she goes invisible right off the bat.
A good script would have resolved that with a few words.

I like how it's becoming taboo to objectify women with gratuitous underwear or bikini shots, but it's still totally OK to show men in their underwear or shirtless for no apparent reason. Compare the MCU male heroes to the female ones. Lots of shirtless scenes of Chris Hemsworth, yet we got none with Evangeline Lily or Brie Larson.
