Becky, for what it's worth I thought your original floor mat was pretty, I just wouldn't have used it for that purpose. It's refreshing that you both take constructive criticism well and use it to grow as oppose to seeing it as a set back.
Yeah, it looks pretty, but I dont get what its for exactly. She said, to keep dirty and wet shoes. But why would you want to put your dirty shoes somewhere, that is so hard to clean?
Oh! OH! I know! You remember that giant candle in a bowl that turned into a fire hazard? That was such a good idea, you should try again! Also more candle projects in general please, candles are so pretty and relaxing!
DianaMandarina Untitled Oh yeah...I remember the candle of doom, too! I was like 😲🚒🚒🚒😂 I actually did something like that before, myself...so I knew, what was going to happen. Wish, there was a way, to make it work, too!
Rara Avis just surround a *pillar candle* with the others and have them all at the same height. You’ll have to light them at the same time. It won’t look like a cool cluster of random little flames but at least it will burn properly, just like a multi wick candle..
human That’s what I did. The heat from all the flames so close to each other just started to melt everything down. It works for a multiwick candle, because then it’s ok for the wax to get liquid...but if it’s separate candles, they’ll turn into a wax puddle really quickly. Except maybe, if it was really thick candles...but it doesn’t work for anything the thickness of a candlelight, say.
The shoe rock/rack looked lovely, personally I would stain the wood just for that final touch, but that's definitely something I'd add to my hallway this time!
I used to work with films like those, and in this one you can see slight streaks of where she squeegee if you look really hard! I think it's the one she did.
Rara Avis ooo it would be so cool if Becky turned her rock shoe mat into some kind of water scene with resin!! Like maybe hold down the rocks with clear resin, but not cover the rocks because slippery, then blue and white resin for a stream
Love The Sorry Girls. Especially their outlook to life. So optimistic, and giving everything a positive turn. Loved all DIYs. Hope you all know how much inspiration we (viewers) get from you.
For the terrazzo project, I think you should just try loading a lot more ceramic pieces at random so some are at the surface & some look like they’re just below the surface & some pieces can be seen on the sides
OMG YES!!!! the shoe tray looks and functions SOOOO much better Becky!!!! Also so glad that y'all revisited the iridescent mirror. I was so bummed when that didn't work out the first time!
Its probably just a way to reuse materials that would other wise be garbage. My grandpa is an architect and construction worker and does design elements that reuse materials like that for decorative features of the house.
you should put a protective lacquer/wax on the wood of the shoe tray, so 1. it can be cleaned easier, and 2. the dirt and water mud whatever doesn't damage the wood as quickly
The terrazzo redo was exactly what I had in mind when I saw the first video!!! All of these diys turned out so beautiful and amazing and I love seeing how much you guys are willing to listen to us, but also how much more experienced and talented you become every new video!!

Resin is expensive, can be hard to work with, you'd need to be quick and precise to avoid air bubbles AND she already said she wasn't comfortable using resin
@@ZinniaLP Resin can be expensive, the more expensive part is if it goes wrong you lose the resin and whatever you were using with it. But most resins have a long pot life so a tray this size would still be doable and air bubbles are only a problem if the ideal depth of the pour is over run or theirs not enough open space so they collect due to not being able to escape. Fine that she said shes not comfortable using resin yet (especially on big projects) but for others thinking that it might be a way to waterproof it, its probably the best option out there.

Them put them on top of a thin layer of putty and let it dry and fill in the gaps later. then you just need to wipe it clean and its done :) i made several mosaic trays like this and they all turned out really beautiful :)

coasters would be really cute with the same method as the terrazzo tray!
I had that idea too! Would look super cute
I would love to see this as a series! Those DIYs look smashing! As someone who is starting to venture in homemade projects for my own apartment, this is refreshing, reassuring and so motivational. Got excited buying a saw the other day and thought of you girls haha. Thank you for the inspiration and the courage to say "I failed, this isn't at all how I envisioned it"... and try again! I hope you continue to adopt a transparent way of doing things; we know you are good, but there is no such thing as perfection ;)
I clicked right away. LOVE YOU GUYS, SO MUCH!!! ❤️
Love the concept - taking criticism and listening to your viewers feedback. Sometimes (not all!) there are really great tips and suggestions in the comment section and its nice to see projects tried again in another video.
For future reference: vaseline works really well with plaster of Paris, more so if you're making a mould of something though
Total redemption! All three DIY’s look awesome and I love how you guys are not afraid to talk about your fails 🙌🏼
I watch you guys all the time! I loved these I liked the mirror but it wasn’t really unicorn as I thought it would be...
This is super cool!! It's cool that you both are willing to give diys another shot
U should redo the basket bag it looked ok but I think u guys could do better never give up keep try much love😍😍
Oh I really love this idea! Goes to show just how much you can learn from the process of trying things out and practicing.
I want to try all of these DIYs now✨ I feel like *I* learnt a lot from listening to you guys talk about what you didn’t like and felt could be improved
You should put resin on top of the rocks.
